Jangan meletakkan freezer di dekat sumber
panas seperti kompor, hot plates, dll dan
hindari freezer dari sinar matahari karena
akan mengakibatkan pendinginan
berkurang.
Letakkan freezer di mana freezer tersebut
tidak terkena air hujan. Menggunakan freezer
yang telah tekena air hujan akan
mengakibatkan kebocoran pada listrik.
Pastikan voltase yang digunakan adalah
220 Volt dan frekwensi 50 Hz. Jangan
menggunakan perpanjangan kabel atau
stop kontak bercabang karena akan
mengakibatkan korsleting, panas yang
berlebihan dan kebakaran.
Jika instalasi di tempat lembab tidak dapat
dihindari, maka instalasi sakelar pemutus
harus dilakukan untuk menghindari terjadinya
korsleting.

-Bukalah kardus penutup, keluarkan dan letakkan freezer pada permukaan yang rata.
-Bersihkan bagian dalam freezer dengan air hangat dan keringkan dengan kain lap yang bersih.
-Bukalah pintu beberapa saat supaya mendapatkan ventilasi lalu tutup dan masukkan kabel listrik
ke steker dan freezer akan bekerja.
-Biarkan unit bekerja untuk waktu kurang lebih 3 jam untuk mendinginkan bagian dalam sebelum
menaruh benda-benda di dalamnya.

-Untuk menyesuaikan suhu di dalam freezer, sesuaikan tombol yang terdapat pada bagian
depan bawah dari frizer rumahan ( freezer ). Biasanya untuk pemakaian normal, suhu untuk
frizer rumahan ( freezer ) menggunakan posisi antara FREEZING –MIN dan FREEZING –
FAST.
-Suhu tidak dapat diatur pada posisi FREEZING –FAST untuk jangka waktu yang lama. Posisi
ini hanya digunakan untuk membekukan makanan yang perlu dibekukan dalam waktu yang
cepat. Setelah makanan beku, posisi thermostat harus dikembalikan ke posisi antara angka
FREEZING –MIN dan FREEZING –FAST. Lampu indikator fast freeze akan aktif ketika knop
diputar di posisi Freezing –FAST.

-Pengaturan suhu antara COOLING –MIN dan COOLING –MAX digunakan untuk mendinginkan
minuman dalam kemasan, serta bahan-bahan makanan lain yang tidak diharapkan untuk beku.
-Jika tidak digunakan untuk jangka waktu tertentu, putarlah tombol thermostat ke posisi
COOLING –MIN.
-Untuk lampu indikator compressor akan aktif ketika melakukan pengaturan suhu. Ketika suhu
yang diatur sudah tercapai lampu indikator ini akan mati.

-Jika terdapat bunga es dengan ketebalan mencapai 5 mm di dalam freezer, buang/kikis
bunga es dengan menggunakan sendok plastik (scraper). Jangan menggunakan pisau atau
sejenisnya karena akan merusak kabinet bagian dalam.
-Bilamana suatu waktu freezer perlu dibersihkan secara tuntas, pilihlah waktu di mana stok
makanan di dalam freezer sedikit dan jalankan proses defrosting sebagai berikut :
a. Keluarkan semua makanan dari freezer. Untuk menjaga agar makanan tetap segar, sebaiknya
ditempatkan pada freezer lain.
b. Setelah itu putuskan freezer dari hubungan listrik dan buka penutup freezer.
c. Jika bunga es mulai mencair, bersihkan bunga es dengan sendok plastic (scraper). Untuk
mempercepat pencairan sisa bunga es, tempatkan semangkuk air panas ke dalam kabinet
freezer.
d. Bilamana proses pencairan sudah selesai, bersihkan kabinet bagian dalam dengan
menggunakan bicarbonate (soda) dan air. Setelah itu dikeringkan.
e. Bilamana kabinet sudah benar-benar bersih dan kering, tutup kembali pintu freezer dan
sambungkan ke sumber listrik. Lalu putar knop ke posisi FREEZER (FAST), jika sudah cukup
dingin putar knop ke posisi antara MIN –FAST, sesuai kebutuhan.

Perkiraan suhu tersebut di atas diukur berdasarkan unit kosong (tanpa makanan di dalam freezer).
Suhu tersebut dapat berubah berdasarkan penempatan jumlah makanan di dalam freezer, suhu
di dalam ruangan tempat freezer diletakkan, banyaknya pintu freezer dibuka, dan faktor lain-
lainnya.

-Bersihkan freezer dengan mengunakan kain yang lembut dan kering. Jika sangat kotor, gunakan
kain yang telah dibasahi dengan sedikit sabun kemudian bilas dengan menggunakan kain yang
telah dicelup di dalam air.
-Bersihkan freezer secara regular supaya bersih setiap saat.
-Jangan menggunakan bubuk pengkilap, bubuk deterjen, bensin, acid, thinner, minyak atau air
panas untuk membersihkan seluruh bagian pada unit.
Jangan menyiram freezer secara langsung
dengan air atau mencuci dengan air karena
dapat mengakibatkan korsleting dan
kebocoran pada listrik.
Unit ini hanya digunakan untuk menyimpan
makanan beku dan es krim. Menyimpan benda-
benda lain akan mempengaruhi makanan yang
disimpan di dalam freezer.
Jangan meletakkan benda-benda yang berat
atau benda yang mengandung air di atas
freezer karena bila benda jatuh atau air
tumpah akan mengakibatkan insulasi
komponen listrik menjadi rusak.
Jika terdapat kebocoran gas, jangan
menyentuh freezer. Bukalah pintu rumah dan
jendela untuk ventilasi. Kebocoran gas dapat
mengakibatkan ledakan dan kebakaran.
Jangan pernah untuk bergelantung di bagian
pintu atau memanjat freezer.
Setiap perbaikan, pembongkaran atau
modifikasi harus dilakukan oleh tenaga ahli.
Memperbaiki, membongkar atau modifikasi
sendiri dapat merusak freezer.

Jangan menaruh benda-benda yang mudah
meledak/terbakar ke dalam freezer.
Selalu cabutlah stop kontak sebelum
membersihkan freezer.
Jangan gunakan kabel listrik atau steker yang
telah rusak, atau steker tidak dapat menancap
pada stop kontak.
Jika ada kerusakan pada kabel listrik maka
segera hubungi ke Service Center MODENA
untuk dilakukan pergantian . Pergantian
kabel listrik haruslah dilakukan oleh
tenaga yang berpengalaman dan sangat
mengerti akan kelistrikan. Jangan pernah
mengganti sendiri kabel listrik dikarenakan
akan bisa menyebabkan bahaya yang bisa
merugikan diri sendiri dan orang lain.
Jangan menyentuh kabel listrik atau benda
listrik lainnya dan mengoperasikannya dengan
tangan yang basah.
JIKA LISTRIK PADAM
-Cabutlah kabel listrik dari tempatnya.
-Jangan membuka dan menutup pintu terlalu sering karena akan mengurangi tingkat kedinginan.
-Jika listrik padam lama, taruhkan biang es (dry ice) di dalam freezer.
-Hindari untuk menaruh benda-benda baru di dalam unit karena akan menaikkan suhu di dalam
kompartmen.
-Pasang kembali kabel listrik +/- 10 ~ 15 menit setelah aliran listrik menyala normal.
TIDAK DIGUNAKAN UNTUK WAKTU YANG LAMA
-Cabutlah kabel listrik dari tempatnya.
-Keluarkan semua benda-benda di dalam kompartmen.
-Bersihkan bagian dalam kompartmen.
-Biarkan pintu dalam keadaan terbuka untuk mengeringkan kompartmen secara keseluruhan
untuk mencegah adanya jamur dan bau yang tidak sedap.

PEMINDAHAN
-Cabutlah kabel listrik dari tempatnya.
-Pada saat pemindahan, pastikan roda/kaki freezer tidak merusak kabel
listrik.
-Pastikan freezer tidak terbentur tangga, ambang pintu, dll.
-Pastikan tingkat kemiringan unit dengan permukaan tidak melebihi 45° dan
unit tidak terbalik.
Lakukan pengecekan terhadap hal-hal di bawah ini sebelum menghubungi Service Center kami bila terjadi
gangguan pengoperasian :

-Apakah kabel listrik tercabut dari tempatnya?
-Apakah ada sumber listrik/sekring yang terputus?
-Apakah sakelar pemutus aktif?

-Apakah pengaturan suhu sudah benar?
-Apakah terlalu banyak makanan yang disimpan di dalam freezer?
-Apakah pintu freezer terlalu sering dibuka?
-Apakah freezer diletakkan di dekat tempat yang panas?
-Apakah tempat instalasi freezer tidak baik ventilasinya?
-Apakah terdapat banyak bunga es di dalam freezer?
Suara bising
Apakah freezer diletakkan di permukaan yang rata?
Apakah bagian belakang freezer menempel dinding?
Apakah unit menempel dengan benda lain?
Kompresor akan mengeluarkan suara bising pada saat permulaan
pengoperasian. Suara akan hilang pada saat pendinginan.
Pengembunan pada
bagian luar freezer
Permukaan luar dapat berembun bilamana udara terlalu
panas/lembab. Hal ini terjadi pada saat kelembaban udara tinggi
dan partikel air di udara menyentuk permukaan yang dingin. Hal ini
normal. Bersihkan dengan lap kering.
Dinding luar freezer
menjadi panas
Pada musim panas atau pada saat unit pertama kali bekerja, dinding
luar freezer akan menjadi panas. Panas tersebut tidak akan
mempengaruhi makanan yang ditaruh di dalam freezer.

Install the freezer on even and sturdy surface.
Uneven surface may cause objects in it to fall.
Provide adequate space for air circulation
between the freezer and the wall to minimize
the operational costs and to maximize the
compressor’s age.

Do not put the freezer near the heat source
such as stove, hot plates etc. and avoid
placing freezer under direct sunlight which
may hamper with the cooling process.
Do not expose the freezer to rain water. Using
freezer which has been exposed to rainwater
will result in electricity leakage.
Make sure the voltage is set to 220 volt and
the frequency to 50 Hz. Do not use cord
extension or branched outlet since it poses
risks of shortage, overheating and fire.
If the unit must be installed in a humid
environment, make sure to install a circuit
breaker to avoid shortage.
PREPARATION BEFORE USE
-Open the carton box, lift and put the freezer on an even surface.
-Clean the inside of the freezer with warm water and dry it with clean cloth.
-Open the door for some time for ventilation purpose, close it and plug the power cord to the
outlet to start the freezer.
-Leave the unit operational for around 3 hours to cool the inner chamber before putting objects
inside it.
UNDERSTANDING THE THERMOSTAT
-To adjust the temperature inside the freezer, use the buttons on the lower front part of the
household freezer. For normal usage, household freezer is set to between FREEZING –MIN and
FREEZING –FAST.
-Temperature cannot be set to FREEZING –FAST for long periods of time. This setup should only
be used to freeze food in short period of time. After the food is frozen, the thermostat must be set
back to between FREEZING –MIN and FREEZING –FAST. Fast freeze indicator light will be
activated when the knob is rotated in Freezing- FAST position.
-Temperature set between COOLING-MIN and COOLING-MAX to cool packaged drinks and other
food/drink items which do not necessarily have to be frozen.

-When left unused for long period of time, turn the thermostat to COOLING –MIN.
-For compressor indicator light will be active when adjust the temperature . When the
temperature is reached the indicator light will turns off.

-If the frost inside the freezer reaches more than 5 mm of thickness, scrape it using a plastic
scraper. Do not use knife or other sharp objects to avoid damage to the inside of the cabinet.
-If the freezer must be thoroughly cleaned at one time, make sure there’s not a lot of food in the
freezer and perform the following defrosting process:
1. Remove all food from the freezer. To maintain freshness, store the food in another freezer.
2. Disconnect the freezer from power source and open the cover.
3. When the frost starts melting, clean it using plastic scraper. To accelerate the defrosting, place
a bowl of hot water inside the freezer cabinet.
4. When the defrosting is complete, clean the inside of the cabinet using bicarbonate (soda) and
water, then dry.
5. When the cabinet is completely clean and dry, close the freezer and connect it to a power
source, then rotate the knob to FREEZER (FAST) position. If it’s cold enough, turn the knob
to MIN –FAST accordingly. “When defrosting, refrain from using sharp objects such as
hammer, knife or bottle to avoid damaging the inside of the evaporator and hamper the
chest freezer’s operations.

The aforementioned temperature is measured with the unit empty (without any food in the
freezer). The temperature may change according to the amount of food stored in the freezer, the
ambient temperature, the amount of freezer doors being opened and other factors.

-Clean the freezer using soft and dry cloth. If it’s very dirty, use cloth that is lightly soaked with
soap water and rinse using wet cloth.
-Clean the freezer on a regular basis.
-Do not use shining powder, detergent, gasoline, acid, thinner, oil or hot water to clean the inside
of the unit.
Do not pour water onto the freezer to avoid
shortage and electricity leakage.
This unit may only be used to store frozen food
and ice cream. Storage of other types of objects
will affect the condition of food stored inside the
freezer.
Do not put heavy or watery objects on top of
the freezer to avoid spill which may damage
the electrical components’ insulation.
Refrain from touching the freezer during gas
leakage. Open the windows and doors to vent
out the gas. Gas leakage may cause explosion
and fire.

Do not hang on to the door nor climb the
freezer.
All repairs, disassembly or modification must be
performed by expert technicians. Self attempt
at repairs, disassembly or modification may
cause damage to the freezer.
Do not store combustible / flammable objects
inside the freezer.
Always unplug the power cord before cleaning
the freezer.
Do not use damaged power cord or
plug,especially if the plug cannot fit the outlet.
If the cable is damaged or broken it must only
be replaced by an approved service
technician to protect the user from danger.
Cannot fit to the outlet.
If there is damage the power cord
immediately contact to the Service Center
MODENA to do the replacement.
Replacement power cord must be done by
experienced personnel and understand
about electricity. Never replace the power
cord itself, due to the dangers that could
lead to harm themselves and others.
Do not touch power cord or other electrical
components or operate the unit with wet hands.
DURING A POWER OUT
-Unplug the power cord.
-Do not open or close the door too frequently to preserve coolness.
-If the power is out for a long period of time, store dry ice inside the freezer.
-Avoid storing new objects inside the unit to maintain the compartment’s temperature.
-Replug the power cord 10-15 minutes after the power is back on.
IF LEFT UNUSED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME

-Unplug the power cord.
-Remove all objects in the compartment
-Clean the inside of the compartment
-Leave the door open to completely dry the compartment and prevent fungi or bad smell.
RELOCATION
-Unplug the power cord.
-When moving the freezer, make sure the wheels are not damaging the
power cord.
-Avoid hitting the stairs, doorways, etc.
-Make sure the surface level of the tilt unit does not exceed 45° and the
unit is not reversed.
Check the following before contacting our Service Center in the event of dysfunction:
Unit is not working
-Is the power cord unplugged?
-Is there a problem with the power source / fusebox?
-Is the circuit breaker activated?
Unit is not cold
-Is the temperature properly regulated?
-Is there too much food being stored inside the freezer?
-Is the freezer door opened too frequently?
-Is the freezer installed in a hot environment?
-Does the freezer have poor ventilation?
-Is there too much frost inside the freezer?
Noise
-Is the freezer put on even surface?
-Is the back of the freezer against the wall?
-Is the unit put against other objects?
-The compressor will emit loud noise at the beginning of
operations. The noise will disappear when the freezing starts.
Condensation on the
outer surface of the
freezer
Dew may form on the outer surface of the freezer when the ambient air
is too hot / humid. Condensation occurs during high humidity and when
the water particles in the air come into contact with cold surface. This is
perfectly normal. Simply wipe the surface using dry cloth.
Outer Surface of the
Freezer Is Hot to the
Touch
During summer or when the unit is operating for the first time, the outer
surface of the freezer may become hot to the touch. The heat will not
affect the food being stored inside freezer.
