INFLATOR OPERATION
INFLATING TIRES
1. Make certain the inflator power button is in the off position.
2. Set emergency brake and start vehicle engine.
3. Insert the 12 Volt power plug into the vehicle’s 12 Volt DC power outlet.
4. Check manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure specifications indicated on the tire sidewall.
TO ACTIVATE SmartSTOP™FEATURE:
1. Choose the desired pressure unit (PSI, BAR, or kPA) by pressing the “M” button.
2. Press SmartSTOP™button to activate countdown timer and auto shut-off.
The SmartSTOP™, countdown timer hour glass and target set icons and “SET” will be
displayed when the SmartSTOP™ feature is active. The countdown timer and auto shut-off
operate together. Both are on or both are off.
3. Set the desired auto shut-off pressure by pressing the “+” or “–” buttons while the “SET” screen
is displayed. The display will return to current tire pressure display a few seconds after entering
the target pressure.
4. Attach air hose nozzle to vehicle tire valve stem by threading the nozzle onto the stem clockwise
until secure.
NOTE: When the nozzle is connected correctly, wait 5-7 seconds and the gauge will indicate the
current tire pressure. The pressure gauge has a built-in memory and will default to the last tire
pressure set in the pressure gauge display of the inflator.
5. Turn on inflator power button. If active, the SmartSTOP™feature will go into the “time remaining
to fill tire” calculation mode with the hour glass flipping and “- - -” being displayed. The
remaining time to fill tire will appear in minutes and seconds above the tire pressure reading and
will countdown to zero as tire reaches the target set pressure. “OK” will be displayed once the
target set pressure has been reached and the inflator will automatically shut off.
NOTE: The tire will be filling during the calculation mode.
TO DEACTIVATE SmartSTOP™FEATURE AND RETURN TO STANDARD INFLATION MODE:
1. Press SmartSTOP™button to deactivate the countdown timer and auto shut-off. The
SmartSTOP™, countdown timer hour glass and target set icons will be turned off when the
SmartSTOP™feature is inactive.
2. To stop inflator before reaching the pre-set auto shut-off pressure, turn inflator power switch to
the off position.
NOTE: If “E–1” is displayed – Error message 1, see trouble shooting on page 7.
If “E–2” is displayed – Error message 2, see trouble shooting on page 7.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: The pressure gauge on the inflator is for reference only and is therefore not
binding for exact values. While inflating, the gauge is a measurement of the fluctuating pressure
between the tire and the high pressure hose. To reduce the risk of over-inflation, use a reliable
pressure gauge after inflation before driving a vehicle inflated with the inflator.
INFLATING SPORTS BALLS OR OTHER HIGH PRESSURE SMALL INFLATABLES
1. Follow same tire inflation procedure sequence with these additional instructions.
2. Select one of the small adapter needles provided in the storage compartment and attach the
adapter needle to the air hose nozzle by turning the adapter needle clockwise.
NOTE: When inflating items requiring 10 PSI or less, inflate in short bursts and check by feel or by a
reliable measuring device to determine accurate pressure.
