SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDLINES
•Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or
other containers with moisture on or near the device. If moisture does get in or on
the device, immediately unplug it from the power outlet.
•This device is intended for indoor use only.
•If operating this speaker in a humid environment, ensure that no condensation
occurs. Condensation could cause damage to the speaker cone and could cause
a short in the subwoofer's amplifier, which in turn could cause fire or severe
electric shock.
•This device uses a grounded power cord and requires a ground connection for
safe operation. Ensure that the power source has a proper ground connection.
Do not modify the plug or use a "cheater" plug to bypass the ground connection.
•Disconnect the unit from the power source when replacing the fuse. Replace the
fuse only with the same type.
•Ensure that the power outlet used to connect this device does not exceed the
rated maximum voltage, listed on the back panel of the device.
•Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before making any electrical
connections. Disconnect the speaker from the power source during lightning
storms or when not in use.
•Take care to prevent damage to the power cord. Do not allow it to become
crimpled, pinched, walked on, or become tangled with other cords.
•When disconnecting the power cord do not pull on the cord itself. Instead, grasp
the plug connector head to disconnect it from the power socket.
•Do not bypass the purpose of the fuse by shorting the contacts or by any other
means. If the fuse blows or breaks, replace it with the type specified for your
mains voltage in the Specifications section of this manual.
•Install the subwoofer in a place where the power plug can be readily accessible,
so that you can quickly unplug the unit in the event that a safety incident occurs.
•This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or
modify this device.
•Do not use chemical cleaners or solvents to clean the cabinet. Use only a soft
dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, moisten the cloth with warm water.

CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS
1. Subwoofer - The subwoofer is a 10" fiberglass composite cone.
2. Cloth Grille - This removable grille is designed to protect the driver from foreign
objects and debris without interfering with the sound.
3. Cabinet - The cabinet is constructed of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and
features internal acoustic material and foam designed to enhance audio reproduction,
while reducing vibration and distortion.
4

4. Amplifier (not shown) - This subwoofer is powered by a 200-watt (RMS) power
amplifier. This amplifier will provide the driver with all the needed power, while
ensuring the sound is crisp, clean, loud, and distortion free at all times.
5. Bass Reflex Port - This specially tuned port is designed to allow bass signals to
escape from the rear of the enclosure. The shape and size of this port enhances the
bass response, resulting in a fuller sound.
6. XLR Inputs (Left + Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of XLR connectors for
balanced signal inputs. The pin out is printed on the back of the subwoofer and is as
follows for XLR connectors:
XLR pin 1 = ground signal (shield)
XLR pin 2 = positive signal (+)
XLR pin 3 = negative signal (-)
7. TRS Inputs (Left + Right) - This subwoofer can accept balanced or unbalanced TRS
or unbalanced TS inputs. The TRS input will override the XLR input at all times (i.e., if
there is signal running into the XLR inputs and a cable is plugged into the TRS input,
the XLR signal will not come through). The pin out is printed on the back of the
subwoofer and is as follows for TRS connectors:
TRS Tip = positive signal (+)
TRS Ring = negative signal (-)
TRS Sleeve = ground signal (sleeve)
8. XLR Outputs (Left + Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of XLR connectors for
balanced signal outputs. These connections output only those frequencies that are
above the low-pass filter's cutoff point.
9. TRS Outputs (Left+ Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of balanced or
unbalanced TRS or unbalanced TS outputs. These connections output only those
frequencies that are above the low-pass filter's cutoff point.
10. Volume Control - Rotate this knob clockwise to increase volume and
counterclockwise to decrease volume.
11. Low Pass Filter - This knob will determine which frequencies are sent to the
subwoofer and which are cutoff and sent to the outputs. Rotate the knob clockwise
to increase the cutoff frequency to a maximum of 150Hz. Rotate the knob
counterclockwise to decrease the cutoff frequency to a minimum of 50Hz.
5

12. Phase Switch - Depending on the location of the subwoofer, its sound may arrive at
your ears out of phase with the sound from the full-range monitors. Use this switch
to change the phase of the sound coming from the subwoofer by 180 degrees. In
most cases the correct phase coincides with the louder output.
13. OFF/AUTO/ON Switch - Use this switch to select your preferred method of
operation. With the switch set to the OFF position, the subwoofer will be off and any
input signal will be passed through to the outputs to drive other speakers. With the
switch set to the AUTO position, the subwoofer will automatically shut down when no
signal is present and will turn on when a signal is detected. With the switch set to the
ON position, the subwoofer is always on, regardless of whether or not it is receiving
a signal.
14. Sub Bypass (Foot Switch) - Connect a foot switch (not included) to this 1/4" TS
jack. When the foot switch is engaged, the subwoofer and crossover are bypassed,
allowing the original, full-range signal to be sent to the outputs. This allows you to
compare your mixes with and without the subwoofer handling the lower frequencies.
15. Power Switch - This switch turns your subwoofer on and off.
16. AC Jack - This AC input accepts a power cable with a grounded IEC 60320 C14
plug on one end and a grounded NEMA 5-15 plug on the other. The appropriate AC
cable is supplied with the unit. If you need a replacement or want a longer cord, use
a cord with the exact same connectors and at least the same wire gauge.
17. Fuse Holder - A fuse is used to protect the amplifier and crossover circuit from
excessive current. The fuse used in a T4AL 250V fuse. Replace the fuse only with
the exact same type.
