VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
1. Lees voor gebruik a.u.b. zorgvuldig deze gebruiksaanwijzing.
2. Gebruik het apparaat niet indien de stekker, het snoer of andere onderdelen
beschadigd zijn.
3. Indien het netsnoer beschadigd is, moet u het laten vervangen door Van den Berg
Products, een door Van den Berg Products geautoriseerd servicecentrum of personen
met vergelijkbare kwalificaties om gevaar te voorkomen.
4. Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (waaronder kinderen) met
verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens, of die gebrek aan
ervaring of kennis hebben, tenzij iemand die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid
toezicht op hen houdt of hen heeft uitgelegd hoe het apparaat dient te worden
gebruikt.
5. Houd het apparaat buiten het bereik van kinderen. Nauwlettend toezicht is vereist als
het apparaat in nabijheid van kinderen wordt gebruikt. Laat het apparaat nooit door
kinderen gebruiken.
6. Gebruik dit apparaat alleen waarvoor het is bedoeld, zoals beschreven in deze
gebruiksaanwijzing.
7. De motorbehuizing niet onderdompelen in water of in een andere vloeistof.
8. Gebruik alleen de stroomkabel die bij het apparaat geleverd is.
9. Plaats het apparaat op een stevige ondergrond. Gebruik bij voorkeur geen zachte
ondergrond zoals bijvoorbeeld een kunststof tafelkleed. Het apparaat dient ook niet
op een kwetsbare ondergrond geplaatst te worden zoals een glazen tafel, een
tafelkleed, gelakte meubels etc.
10. Zorg ervoor dat de stroomkabel nooit over een tafelrand hangt. U dient de
stroomtoevoer altijd zo te plaatsen dat niemand erover kan struikelen.
11. Trek de stekker niet aan de stroomkabel uit het stopcontact. Om de stekker uit het
stopcontact te nemen, pakt u de stekker en trekt deze voorzichtig uit het stopcontact.
12. Om elektrische schokken te voorkomen dient u ervoor te zorgen dat het apparaat en
het snoer droog zijn.
13. Gebruik het apparaat niet buitenshuis.
14. Laat het apparaat niet onbeheerd achter als de stekker in het stopcontact zit. Neem
de stekker uit het stopcontact als u het apparaat niet gebruikt of voor het plegen van
onderhoud.
15. Gebruik geen accessoires die niet zijn aanbevolen door de leverancier, in het
bijzonder geen accessoires die niet bij het apparaat zijn geleverd.
16. Voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt moet u altijd eerst controleren of de
netspanning in uw huis overeenkomt met het voltage op het typeplaatje.
17. Dompel de basis van het apparaat nooit onder water of in enige andere vloeistof.
Bedien het apparaat NOOIT met natte handen!
18. Wanneer het apparaat ingeschakeld is en de motor loopt, mag u NOOIT uw handen
of enige andere voorwerpen in de machine plaatsen!
19. Laat de sapcentrifuge bij een zware belasting niet langer dan 3 minuten achterelkaar
werken en laat het apparaat vervolgens voldoende afkoelen.
20. Gebruik dit apparaat uitsluitend voor het bereiden van vruchten- en groentesappen.

21. Het netsnoer nooit scherp buigen of over hete delen laten lopen.
22. Plaats het apparaat nooit in de buurt van apparatuur die warmte afgeven zoals ovens,
gasfornuizen, kookplaten, etc. Het apparaat op afstand houden van muren of andere
objecten die vlam kunnen vatten zoals gordijnen, handdoeken (katoen of papier etc.)
23. Indien u het apparaat wilt verplaatsten dient u ervoor te zorgen dat het apparaat
uitgeschakeld is. U dient bij het verplaatsen van het apparaat beide handen te gebruiken.
24. Gebruik alleen het bijgevoegde aandrukhulpstuk om stukken fruit of groente aan te drukken
die in de opening vast blijven zitten.
25. Zorg dat alle onderdelen op de juiste wijze zijn gemonteerd voordat u het apparaat
inschakelt.
26. Als u barstjes in het filter ontdekt of het filter anderszins is beschadigd, gebruik het apparaat
dan niet meer en neem contact op met Van den Berg Products.
27. Ontgrendel de klem pas nadat u het apparaat hebt uitgeschakeld en het filter tot stilstand is
gekomen.
28. Verwijder de pulpopvangbak niet terwijl het apparaat loopt.

VOOR GEBRUIK
GEBRUIK VAN HET APPARAAT
Voor de eerste ingebruikname:
- Verwijder alle verpakkingen en accessoires aan de binnen- en buitenkant van het apparaat.
- Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing aandachtig door en neem de veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht.
- Reinig het apparaat en de accessoires, zie hiervoor het stukje onderhoud en reiniging.
- Zet het apparaat op een schone, vlakke en harde ondergrond.
- Uw apparaat is klaar voor gebruik!
Klaarmaken voor gebruik
- Plaats de motorunit (3) op een stevige ondergrond en vergewis u ervan dat het apparaat stabiel
staat.
- Plaats de sapring (6) op de motorunit zodat de tuit (5) in de gleuf aan de zijkant van de
motorunit valt.
- Plaats de pulpopvangbak (2) op de daarvoor bestemde plaats door het iets te kantelen en op
zijn plaats te drukken.
- Plaats het filter (7) zorgvuldig in de sapring. Kijk uit met scherpe delen die zich aan de
onderkant van het filter bevinden.
- Zorg ervoor dat het filter zich goed op zijn plaats bevindt, zodat de aandrijving aan de
onderkant van het filter goed met de motorbasis in verbinding staat.
- Let erop dat het filter niet te los op het apparaat bevestigd wordt.
- Plaats de deksel (10) op het apparaat zodat het zowel de pulpopvangbak alsook het filter
bedekt. Zorg ervoor dat de deksel goed op zijn plaats valt.
- Duw de klem (4) in verticale positie en zorg ervoor dat het de deksel goed vergrendelt. De klem
produceert een klikkend geluid wanneer deze op de juiste wijze voor vergrendeling zorgt.
- Plaats de sapbeker onder de tuit.
- Het apparaat is nu klaar voor gebruik.
Het voorbereiden van fruit of groente
Belangrijk: gebruik alleen goed gerijpt fruit om verstoppingen te voorkomen zodat u minder vaak
schoon hoeft te maken. Was of schil het fruit en de groente dat u wilt verwerken. Van vruchten
waar grote pitten inzitten, zoals bijvoorbeeld kersen, perziken abrikozen dienen de pitten altijd te
worden verwijderd. Vruchten met zaden zoals appels en peren kunnen met de schil en het
klokhuis worden verwerkt. Van vruchten met een dikke schil bijvoorbeeld citrusvruchten, ananas,
meloenen, kiwi's en bieten, dient eerst de schil te worden verwijderd. Verwijder bij druiven alleen
de dikke stelen. Voor bladgroenten (spinazie) en kruiden geldt dat u de bladeren stevig bij elkaar
opgerold in de vulschacht moet voeren.

Het verkrijgen van sap
- Doe de groente en/of fruit waar u sap van wilt maken in de vulopening. Draai de
bedieningsknop naar stand 1 (lage snelheid) of 2 (normale snelheid) om het apparaat in te
schakelen. Snelheid 1 is met name geschikt voor zacht fruit en zachte groenten zoals
watermeloen, druiven, tomaten, komkommer en frambozen. Snelheid 2 is geschikt voor alle
soorten fruit en groenten. Gebruik de stamper om de ingrediënten naar beneden te drukken.
Voeg het resterende fruit of de groente toe terwijl de motor draait.
- U kunt in 1 keer doorgaan met het verkrijgen van sap totdat de pulpopvangbak vol begint te
raken. U dient de pulpopvangbak te legen als het zichtbaar vol is.
- Laat de sapcentrifuge bij een zware belasting niet langer dan 3 minuten achterelkaar werken en
laat het apparaat vervolgens voldoende afkoelen.
- Fruit- en groentesappen bevatten waardevolle vitaminen en mineralen. Wanneer het sap in
contact komt met zuurstof of licht loopt de kwaliteit en hoeveelheid vitaminen en mineralen
snel terug. Daarom is het aan te bevelen het vruchten- of groentesap vers te drinken, dus vlak
nadat het geperst is.
Tips
- Gebruik verse vruchten en groenten omdat deze meer sap bevatten. Bij uitstek geschikt om te
verwerken in een sapcentrifuge zijn ananas, rode bieten, bleekselderij, appels, komkommer,
wortels, spinazie, meloen, tomaten, granaatappels, sinaasappels en druiven.
- Als u appelsap maakt, onthoud dan dat de dikte van het sap afhangt van het soort appel dat u
gebruikt. Hoe sappiger de appel, hoe dunner het sap wordt. Kies een appelsoort die het soort
sap oplevert waarvan u houdt.
- Appelsap wordt heel snel bruin. U kunt dit proces vertragen door een paar druppels citroensap
toe te voegen.
- Vruchten die zetmeel bevatten, zoals bananen, papaja’s, avocado’s, vijgen en mango’s, zijn
niet geschikt om in de sapcentrifuge te verwerken. Gebruik een keukenmachine, een blender of
een staafmixer om deze vruchten te verwerken.
- Om zoveel mogelijk sap te verkrijgen, moet u de stamper altijd langzaam naar beneden duwen.
- Voeg zachte producten, langzaam toe om er het meeste sap uit te krijgen.
- Vitaminen verdwijnen, hoe sneller u uw sap opdrinkt, hoe meer vitaminen u binnen krijgt.
- Moet u toch het sap even bewaren, doe dit dan in de koelkast. Nog beter is om er een aantal
druppels citroensap in te doen.
- Drink niet meer dan 3 glazen van 230 ml sap per dag.
- Verdun het sap voor kinderen met een zelfde hoeveelheid water.
- Sap van donker groene (broccoli, spinazie etc.) of donker rode (bieten, rode kool etc.) groenten
is zeer sterk, verdun dit daarom altijd.
- Vruchtensap heeft een hoog fruitsuikergehalte. Personen met diabetes of een laag
bloedsuikergehalte moeten vermijden er veel van te drinken.

- Gebruik geen borstels, schuursponsen of andere agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.
- Het apparaat is gemakkelijker schoon te maken als u dat direct na gebruik doet.
- Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat uit staat en verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact.
- Verwijder de vuile onderdelen van de motorunit. Ga als volgt te werk: verwijder de
pulpopvangbak, verwijder de stamper, open de klem, verwijder de deksel en verwijder de
sapring samen met het filter.
- Maak de pulpopvangbak, het filter, de deksel en het aandrukhulpstuk schoon met warm
water en een mild afwasmiddel.
- Alle afneembare onderdelen kunnen in de vaatwasmachine worden gereinigd. Plaats de
afneembare kunststofdelen in het bovenste rek van de vaatwasmachine. Controleer of
deze niet te dicht bij het verwarmingselement zijn geplaatst.
- Het motorhuis kunt u schoon maken met een vochtige doek of spons. Dompel het
motorhuis nooit in water of in enige andere vloeistof!
Wortelcocktail
Voorbereiding: 10 minuten
Voor: 2 glazen à 375 ml
10-12 wortels
125 ml Ananassap
125 ml Sinaasappelsap
1-2 theelepels honing, naar smaak
8 ijsklontjes
Wortels door middel van het apparaat uitpersen. De rest van de ingrediënten in een kan
door het wortelsap heen roeren en serveren.
Vers Ananassap met Mandarijnensorbet
Voorbereiding: 10 minuten
Voor: 2 glazen à 375 ml
1 Ananas (2,5 kg)
250 ml Ginger-Ale
4 bolletjes Mandarijnensorbet (naar wens)
Schil de Ananas en plaats het in het apparaat.
Het verkregen ananassap en de Ginger-Ale mengen. In de koelkast plaatsen. Het sap in
gekoelde glazen gieten en op ieder glas naar wens 2 bolletjes mandarijnensorbet plaatsen.

Vitamine boost
Voorbereiding: 15 minuten
Voor: 4 glazen à 200 ml
1 grote appel
6 wortels
4 selderiestangen
6 ijsbergsla bladen
20 spinazieblaadjes
Appel inclusief schil en klokhuis samen met de wortels, de selderie, de ijsbergsla en de
spinazie in het apparaat plaatsen en verwerken. Het sap in glazen schenken en eventueel
naar wens met ijsklontjes serveren.
Zomerfris
Voorbereiding: 15 minuten
Voor: 2 glazen à 375 ml
3 Sinaasappels
250 g frisse aardbeien
300 g pitloze druiven
2 perziken
Sinaasappels schillen en in hun geheel door middel van het apparaat uitpersen. Aardbeien
en druiven ook door middel van het apparaat uitpersen, zodat ze bij het sinaasappelsap
toegevoegd worden. Giet kokend water over de perziken en laat dit 30 seconden staan om
het vervolgens in koud water af te koelen. Trek de huid eraf, verwijder de pitten en pers het
vruchtvlees door middel van het apparaat uit. Het sap in glazen schenken. Serveren met
lepels met lange steel.
Honingmeloen-passievrucht mix
Voorbereiding: 10 minuten
Voor: 2 glazen à 375 ml
I middelgrote Honingmeloen (ca. 750g)
6 Passievruchten
IJsblokjes om te serveren
Meloen schillen. In stukken snijden en met behulp van het apparaat uitpersen.
Passievruchten halveren, vruchtvlees met een lepel uitlepelen. Meloensap met vruchtvlees
van passievruchten mengen. Goed koelen. In een glas met ijsklontjes serveren.

SAFETY REGULATIONS
1. Before using the device, please read this user manual carefully.
2. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other components are damaged.
3. If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Van den Berg Products, a service
centre authorised by Van den Berg Products or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a
safety hazard.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction regarding the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
5. Keep the device out of reach of children. Careful supervision is required if the device is
used near children. Never allow children to use the device.
6. Only use the device for its intended purpose as described in this user manual.
7. Do not immerse the device in water or in any other liquid.
8. Use only the power cable that has been supplied with the device.
9. Place the device on a solid surface. Preferably do not use a soft surface like, for example, an
artificial fibre table cloth. The device should not be placed on a vulnerable surface, such as a
glass table, a table cloth, painted furniture, etc.

power cable in such a manner that no-one can trip over it.
11. Do not pull the plug from the wall socket by its power cord. To pull the plug from the wall
socket, take the plug and carefully pull it from the wall socket.

13. Do not use the device outdoors.
14. Do not leave the device unattended when the plug is in the wall socket. Take the plug from

22. Never place the device near equipment that produces heat, such as ovens, gas cookers,
cooking rings, etc. Keep the device away from walls or other objects that can catch fire, such
as curtains, towels (cotton or paper, etc.)
23. If you wish to move the device, you must see that it is switched off. You must use both
hands when moving the device.
24. Use only the enclosed pounder for pressing on pieces of fruit or vegetables that are stuck in

- Place the motor housing (3) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is
standing stabile.
- Place the grater house (6) on the motor unit so that the spout (5) fits in the slot on the side
of the motor section.
- Push the pulp container (2) up under the edge of the grater housing so that it locks on the
foot of the motor housing tightly.
- Carefully place the grater (7) in the grater housing . Be careful not to touch the sharp parts at
the bottom of the grater.
- Make sure that the grater fits properly in the housing and the gear in the grater and the
housing are connected properly.
- Make sure that the grater does not sit loosely on the base and that it rotates evenly.
- Place the lid (10) on the appliance so that it covers both the pulp container and the grater.
Make sure that the lid fits tightly onto the grater housing.
- Lift the latch (4) to the vertical position and make sure that it locks the lid. The latch makes a
clicking sound when this is done correctly.
- Place the juice cup under the spout.
- The device is now ready for use.
Preparing fruit or vegetables
Important: use only well-ripened fruit to avoid blockages so that cleaning is needed less often.
Wash or peel the fruit and the vegetables that you want to process. Always remove the stones
from fruits with large ones. For example from cherries, peaches and apricots the stones must
always be removed. Fruits with seeds, such as apples and pears can be processed with their
peels and cores. From fruits with a thick peel, such as citrus fruits, pineapples, melons, kiwis
and beetroots, the peel must first be removed. With grapes you remove only the thick stalks.
With green vegetables (spinach) and spices you must firmly roll the leaves together before
feeding them into the feeder.
Making juice
- Put the vegetables and/or fruit into the feeder. Turn the speed control knob to setting 1 ( low
speed) or 2 (normal speed) to switch on the appliance. Speed 1 is especially suitable for soft
fruits and vegetables such as watermelons, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers and raspberries.
Speed 2 is suitable for all kinds of other fruits and vegetables. Use the grounder to press the
ingredients down. Add the remaining fruit or vegetables while the motor is running.
- You can continue making juice until the pulp container is beginning to fill up. You must
empty the pulp container when it is visibly full.
- Do not operate the juicer for more than 3 minutes when juicing heavy loads and let it cool
down sufficiently afterwards.
- Fruit and vegetable juices contain valuable vitamins and minerals. When the juice comes into
contact with oxygen or light, the quality and quantity of vitamins and minerals quickly
decrease. Therefore it is recommended to drink the fruit or vegetable juice when fresh,
preferably just after it has been made.

Tips
- Use fresh fruit and vegetables, as they contain more juice. Pineapples, beetroots, celery
stalks, apples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes, pomegranates, oranges and
grapes are particularly suitable for processing in the juicer.
- When you prepare apple juice, remember that the thickness of the apple juice depends on
the kind of apple you use. The juicier the apple, the thinner the juice. Choose a kind of apple
that produces the type of juice you prefer.
- Apple juice turns brown very quickly. To slow down this process, add a few drops of lemon
juice.
- Fruits that contain starch, such as bananas, papayas, avocados, figs and mangoes are not
suitable for processing in the juicer. Use a food processor, blender or bar blender to process
these fruits.
- To extract the maximum amount of juice, always press the grounder down slowly.
- Add soft products slowly to extract more juice from them.
- Vitamins disappear, so the faster you drink your juice, the more vitamins you get.
- If you would like to keep the juice for a while then it must be placed in the refrigerator. It is
good to add some drops of lemon juice.
- Do not drink more than 3 glasses of 230 ml of juice a day.
- Dilute the juice for children with an equal quantity of water.
- Juice of dark green (broccoli, spinach etc.) or dark red (beets, red cabbage, etc.) vegetables
are quite strong, therefore always dilute them with water.
- Fruit juice has a high content of fructose. Persons with diabetes or a low content of blood
sugar must avoid drinking too much juice.
- Do not use any brushes, scourers or other aggressive cleaning devices.
- The appliance is easier to clean if you do so immediately after use.
- Ensure the device is switched off and remove the plug from the wall socket.
- Remove the dirty parts from the motor unit. Disassemble the appliance in the following
order: Remove the pulp container, remove the grounder, open the latch, remove the lid,
remove the grater with the housing.
- Clean the pulp container, the grater, the lid and the grounder with hot water and a mild
detergent.
- All detachable parts are dishwasher-safe. Place the detachable plastic parts on the top tray of
the dishwasher. Make sure they are placed well away from the heating element.
- The motor unit can be cleaned with a moist cloth or sponge. Never immerse the motor unit
in water or in any other liquid!

Carrot cocktail
Preparation: 10 minutes
For: 2 glasses of 375 ml
10-12 carrots
125 ml pineapple juice
125 ml orange juice
1-2 teaspoonfuls of honey, to taste
8 ice cubes
Juice the carrots in the juicer. Use a jug to stir the other ingredients through the carrot juice
before serving.
Fresh pineapple juice with mandarin sorbet
Preparation: 10 minutes
For: 2 glasses of 375 ml
1 pineapple (2.5 kg)
250 ml ginger ale
4 scoops of mandarin sorbet (to taste)
Peel the pineapple and place it in the device. Mix the pineapple juice and the ginger ale
together. Place it in the refrigerator. Pour the juice in chilled glasses and place 2 scoops of
mandarin sorbet in each glass.
Vitamin boost
Preparation: 15 minutes
For: 4 glasses of 200 ml
1 large apple
6 carrots
4 celery stems
6 leaves of iceberg lettuce
20 spinach leaves
Place the apple in the device with peel and core, together with the carrots, the celery, the
iceberg lettuce and the spinach and process all together. Pour the juice into glasses and serve
with ice cubes to chill.
Summer refreshment
Preparation: 15 minutes
For: 2 glasses of 375 ml
3 Oranges
250 g fresh strawberries
300 g seedless grapes
2 peaches
Peel the oranges and process them in the juicer. Process the strawberries and grapes
separately and add them to the orange juice. Pour boiling water over the peaches and leave
them to stand for 30 seconds before cooling them in cold water. Pull off the skins, remove the
stones and process them in the juicer before adding to the rest of the mixed juice. Pour the
juice into glasses. Serve with spoons with long handles.
