Charging by
mains power
• The product when new, is not charged
so it will require charging prior to use.
• The mains power supply must be a
household 220 - 240V AC supply and
only the charging transformer provided
can be used, with this product.
• The product can be charged in the
charging stand or by itself, which ever
is the most convenient, however we do
recommend the use of the stand.
During the charging process, you must
ensure that no foreign objects are in
contact with the product and the
charging transformer must not be
covered by anything.
• The charging transformer does get
hot during use, this is quite normal.
Position of the rubber bung
• A rubber bung is fitted to your mobile
styler to protect the product during
transit.
•Position A
shows the
position to use
during charging.
•Position B
shows the position to use during transit
and when charged.
Method of charging
Charging using stand
1Plug the small round
charging plug into
the stand and twist
to hold in place.
Remove by twisting
and pull out.
2Place the product
into the stand,
making sure the
rubber protection
bung is in the
correct position.
Charging the product without
the stand

plug directly into the product,
making sure the rubber
protection bung is in the position
indicated.

5
IMPORTANT WHEN CHARGING
• Ensure the product on/off switch is in
the off position.
• Plug the charging transformer into the
mains socket, ensure there is a clean
surface around the product and switch
on.
• The transformer light indicates in the
following manner.
• Flashing = charging in progress.
• Illuminated all the time = charging
process is complete.
Note: It is not possible to charge the
product to excess, because the charge
is automatically measured and if the
batteries are already fully charged the
indicator light will not flash.
When fully charged
• When the product is fully charged,
which will take 4 1/4hours from fully
discharged the red light will be
permanently ‘on’ showing that
charging is complete.
• Turn off at the plug socket, remove the
charging transformer, remove the small
round charging plug from the product
or lift the product from the charging
stand.
• Then it is ready to use, when switched
on.
(Note the product cannot be turned on
whilst the charger is still plugged in, or
whilst the cover is in place over the
brush).
• The best performance from the
batteries is only achieved after two or
three complete charge discharge
cycles.
IMPORTANT : After charging your
styler ensure the rubber bung is in
position B, covering the charging
connection.
After use
1Switch off after use, and allow to cool.
• When you are not styling your hair
ensure that the protective cover is in
position. This will prevent the styler
from accidentally heating up.
• Do not leave the product switched
on after use. This will cause the
batteries to go flat and can cause
damage to them. The product may
also damage other items in contact
with it.

6
Charging and
discharging the battery
• A new battery’s full performance is
achieved only after two or three complete
charge and discharge cycles.
• When a charger is not in use, disconnect
it from the power source. Do not leave the
mobile styler connected to a charger for
longer than 24 hours this may shorten its
life. If left unused a fully charged battery
will discharge itself over time.
• Temperature extremes will affect the
ability of your battery to charge and its life
time.
• Try to keep the mobile styler in an area
that is between 15 -25 oC.
• Never use the charger when damaged.
Cleaning
• Clean when the product is discharged and
unplugged. Use a damp cloth and then
wipe with a dry cloth.
• Don’t let moisture enter the inside of the
styler or damage will occur.
Battery Disposal
• The batteries in this product are not
replaceable.
• This product contains sealed Nickel
metal hydride batteries. When it reaches
the end of its useful life they must be
disposed of at an authorised recycling
plant. Your local authority will have a
centre which accepts such waste for
recycling.
