entrapment in rotating parts, keep loose clothing, hair, fingers etc.

maintenance, such as cleaning any blockages, changing any filters,
accessing the motorised floor brush or removing the battery.

and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision

•The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains before
removing the battery.
•Children shall not play with the appliance.

Personal safety
• WARNING: Only lift the product by the handle (2) and
never pick the cleaner up by the motorised floor
brush.
•To prevent accidental contact with the rotating brush bar,
always remove the motorised floor brush (19) during
maintenance.
•Never use in the presence of explosive liquid or vapours.
•Never pick up inflammable or poisonous liquids such as
petrol, copier toner or other volatile substances. Never
pick up acids, asbestos or asbestos dust.
•Never touch the adaptor, product or cable with wet
hands.
•Unprofessional repairs can be dangerous for users.
•To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury,
do not immerse cord, mains adaptor or cleaner in water
or other liquid.
•The appliance must never be left running unsupervised.
Location
•Do not use or keep this product outside.
•Do not store the appliance near hot surfaces eg. ovens or
heating appliances.
Product safety
•This appliance is not intended for liquid/wet pick up.
•Never use the appliance without the filter being installed.
•Never use the appliance to vacuum hot ashes, broken
glass, sharp objects or liquids.

Electrical requirements
•Check that the voltage on the rating plate of the mains
adaptor corresponds with your house electricity supply
which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).
•The battery is not a serviceable item. Remove at the end
of the product’s life for recycling.

ultiple functionality
Your vacuum cleaner can easily be configured into three different cleaning modes:
•Vacuum cleaner for floors and carpets.
•andheld vacuum cleaner which can be carried with you whilst cleaning.
•Extended reach vacuum cleaner for cleaning hard to reach places such as high coving etc.

100cm is the minimum height above
the ground for wall mounting if you wish
to have the floor nozzle horizontal with
the floor.
If you wish to have the floor nozzle
parallel with the wall, it should be
mounted at a minimum of 112cm.
NOTE: The mounting must be within
1.5 metres of a mains outlet socket
to enable the mains adaptor to reach.
The storage mount (21) must be fixed to a
suitable, strong wall.
Two wall plugs for solid walls (eg brick) and
compatible screws are included with the product.
If your mounting wall is not a solid brick wall then
other appropriate wall plugs/screws will need to
be used.
The position of the two holes for the fixing of the
plugs should be as shown in the diagram (see
left).
WARNING: Always take care when drilling
walls. Ensure the wall is safe and sturdy and
ensure there are no plumbing, gas or electrical
routes within the wall .

Set up and charging
Charge the product fully before first use.
1Insert the mains adaptor connector (22) into the
charging inlet (4) on the side of the handheld
vacuum cleaner (6). Connect the mains adaptor
into the mains supply.
2During charging, the charge indicator lights (7)
will illuminate with slow pulses. There are five
charge indicator lights that will illuminate in turn
as the product charges. When charging is
complete, the charge indicator lights will stay on
for five minutes before extinguishing. A full
charge will take approximately 5 hours.
When fully charged, disconnect the mains
adaptor from the handheld charging inlet and
unplug the mains adaptor from the mains supply.
In extreme conditions, batteries may be subject
to leakage. If touched, wash skin with hot soapy
water.
WARNING: Do not try to use or recharge the
battery in this condition.
Only use the battery supplied with this product.
NOTE: Always make sure the device is turned off
before charging.

Upright vacuuming: assembly
1Push the extention tube (14) into the neck of the
motorised floor brush (19) until it clicks into place,
ensuring the electrical connectors marry together.
2Push the handheld vacuum cleaner (6) into the
extension tube until it clicks into place, ensuring
the electrical connectors marry together.

Switching on and power settings
Assemble the product for upright vacuum cleaning
(see ‘Upright vacuuming: assembly’).
To switch ON, slide the On/Off button (1) forward. At
the first position the product will switch on at LOW
power, push the slider again to the second position for
IG power. Slide the button rearwards to switch back
to LOW power or OFF.
The IG setting will produce the best cleaning results
for the majority of cleaning tasks. Using on LOW power
will be sufficient for light cleaning and will extend the
usage time before the battery needs recharging.
If the motorised floor brush (19) is fitted, the brush will
rotate and the floor brush lights (20) will illuminate.
NOTE: As the battery discharges during use, the
number of illuminated charge indicator lights (7) will
reduce until all lights extinguish. The product must
then be recharged.

Handheld vacuum cleaning
andheld vacuum cleaning is ideal for
cleaning stairs, curtains and upholstery.
To separate the extension tube (14) from the
handheld vacuum cleaner (6), press the
extension tube release button (12) and pull the
extension tube
away from the handheld
vacuum cleaner.
To attach the motorised floor brush (19) to the
handheld vacuum cleaner (6), push the neck of
the motorised floor brush onto the handheld
vacuum cleaner suction inlet (15) until it clicks
into place.
To separate the motorised floor brush from the
handheld vacuum cleaner, press the motorised
floor brush release button (18) and pull the
motorised floor brush away from the handheld
vacuum cleaner.

Assemble the product for handstick vacuum
cleaning (see ‘Upright vacuuming: assembly’,
page 5)

For extra reach whilst cleaning high areas like
coving etc, use the crevice tool (25) or dusting
brush / upholstery nozzle (24) in place of the
motorised floor brush (19).
Alternatively, you may wish to use the crevice
tool (25) or dusting brush / upholstery nozzle (24)
in place of the motorised floor brush (19).
The tool fits directly onto the suction inlet (15) on
the handheld vacuum cleaner (6). To remove it
again, pull it firmly away.

The guarantee may be invalidated if the motor

WARNING: Always remove the mains adaptor
(23) from the mains supply before undertaking
any maintenance or cleaning procedures.
Your cleaner is manufactured to withstand normal
day-to-day use, but occasionally wipe over with a
damp cloth to help maintain its good looks. Take
care not to get the electrical connections wet.
Abrasive cleaners should not be used.
Empty the dust canister (10) regularly even if it
does not look full, this will maintain the
performance.
To ensure optimum suction and performance, we
recommend that the canister is only filled to the
line shown on the side of the canister.
We recommend cleaning the foam filter (8) and
dust canister filter (9) and checking for any
blockages every time the dust canister (10) is
emptied.
1. Disconnect the extension tube (14) from the
handheld vacuum cleaner (6).
2. olding the handheld vacuum cleaner in one
hand (whilst simultaneously pressing the dust
canister release button (5) with your thumb),
firmly hold the bottom of the dust canister (10)
with your other hand and pull the dust canister
away from handheld vacuum cleaner.
3. olding the dust canister (10) over a dustbin,
press the dust canister swing base release button
(11) down to release the swing base (16), allowing
it to swing open and empty the dirt. After the dirt
has been emptied swing the base closed and
press until it clips shut.

Using the attachments
Crevice tool and brushes
Dusting brush (24) for carpet, upholstery and stairs etc.
Upholstery nozzle (24) for upholstery and bedding etc.
Slide the dusting brush back by clicking the button on
the attachment - this reveals the upholstery nozzle.
Crevice tool (25) for awkward places, corners and
behind radiators etc. This tool is also useful on stairs.

4. Remove the foam filter (8) from the dust canister
filter (9).
5.Dust off the foam filter each time the dust
canister is emptied.
Every month, wash the foam filter in luke-warm
water and thoroughly air dry before re-fitting.
6. Use the tab to pull out the dust canister filter (9)
from the dust canister.
7. Brush clean all parts of the dust canister filter
to remove any hairs or fibres each time the
dust canister is emptied.
8. If necessary for further cleaning, the dust canister
filter may be separated by holding the top of the
filter and the tab at the bottom and rotating in
opposite directions, then pull the two sections
apart. To reassemble, use the reverse action.
9.To refit the dust canister filter (9) back into the
dust canister (10), a lign the rectangular holes on
each part and slot the dust canister filter back
into the dust canister.
10. Refit the foam filter (8) into the dust canister filter (9).
11. Refit the dust canister (10) by locating the recess
at the top of the canister onto the mating tab on
the handheld vacuum cleaner (6) then push the
canister onto the handheld vacuum cleaner until it
locks into place.
I PORTANT:
All the
filters and the dust canister may be
washed in luke-warm water, but please note:
a) Not in hot water.
b) No detergent should be used.
c) All the parts must be left to air-dry before
refitting.
d) Do not use heated appliances to dry.
e) Never use the product without the filters being
in place.

WARNING: The motorised floor brush (19)
must be removed before any maintenance
operations.
WARNING: Take care when using tools and
sharp objects.
1.If the motorised floor brush (19) is stalled, for
example by a foreign object or by use on a very
deep-pile carpet, a motor protection device will
operate and the motor will stop and the floor
brush lights (20) will extinguish. To reset the
protection, first switch off, then remove the
motorised floor brush from the extension tube or
handheld vacuum cleaner. Check and remove any
blockage before refitting the motorised floor
brush to the extension tube or handheld vacuum
cleaner. Provided the blockage has been
removed, the protection should reset itself when
the product is switched on.
2. To clean the motorised floor brush, turn the unit
off, press the motorised floor brush release button
(18) and pull the motorised floor brush away.
3. Turn the motorised floor brush (19) over to
inspect the rotating brush bar (19a).
4. Using a small flat bladed screwdriver gently turn
the locking button (19b) 1 /8 turn anti-clockwise to
unlock the cover. Remove the cover (19c). Using
the small flat bladed screwdriver underneath the
end of the rotating brush, gently lift the rotating
brush bar (19a) out.
5.Pull away any hairs or fibres from around the
rotating brush bar (19a). If they are tightly wound
around the brush carefully snip the fibres/hairs
with scissors using the groove in the brush to
assist. Take care not to damage the brush
bristles. Inspect both ends of the brush for hairs
& fibres and remove if necessary. The end cap of
the brush that sits underneath the brush bar
cover (19c) should rotate freely.
6. Before refitting the rotating brush bar (19a),
check to ensure there are no blockages in the
inlet aperture of the motorised floor brush
(19).
7. Refit the rotating brush bar (19a) and brush bar
cover (19c) in their original position and re-lock
the locking button (19b).
•“Does not pick-up”/ “ otorised floor-brush
running slow or soon stops”
Check for hairs/fibres that may be wrapped
around the rotating brush-bar.
IMPORTANT: Remove the rotating brush bar as
described on page 10. Fine hairs or fibres may be
caught in the ends of the rotating brush bar.
Carefully remove the hairs and re-fit the rotating
brush bar.
•“Does not pick-up from floor, no suction but
the motorised floor brush is rotating”
Switch off the product, remove the motorised
floor brush (19) and the extension tube (14) and
check for blockages in both. Check also the
air-path in the handheld vacuum cleaner (6)
between the dust canister (10) and the
handheld vacuum cleaner suction inlet (15).
This air-path contains a one-way flap to
prevent dirt from falling out of the dust
canister, this flap must move freely.
•“Does not pick-up” / “Suction of handheld
cleaner has reduced”
In addition to emptying the dust canister, it is very
important that the filters are regularly and
thoroughly cleaned. See pages 8 and 9 for details
of how to access and clean the filters.
