SRE4000 TANDEM with CROSS MEMBER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The MORryde X-Factor Cross Member Kit is designed to provide added strength and reinforcement to trailer frames
and can be installed on one or all spring hangers. The installation instructions for the Cross Member Kit and the
SRE4000 are detailed below.
WARNING The SRE4000 suspension system warranty is void if the Cross Member is not installed
at the equalizer spring hanger.

• 9/16" Socket & Wrench

• Floor Jacks
• Safety Stands
• Ratchet

• Cross Member Channel with Slots
• (2) SRE4000 Equalizers
• (2) Clamp Straps
• (8) 3/8-16 x 1 Flange Bolts
• (8) 3/8-16 Flange Locknuts
• (4) 5/16-18 x 1 1/2 HHCS
• (4) 5/16-18 Locknuts
• (2) 7/16-20 x 3.40 Wet Bolts
• (2) 7/16-20 Flange Locknut Shoulder Bolts

INSTALLATION FOR STANDARD 3" - WIDE FRAME HANGER*:
Step 1
Loosen all lug nuts. Using appropriately rated
jacks, raise the unit and support the frame with
safety stands. Support the axles with floor jacks
and remove all wheels.
Step 4
Slide the Cross Member
Channel with slots over
the end of the wet bolt
and thread the nut
without tightening.
The
open end of the channel
will face down.
Step 5
Repeat Steps 2-4 on
the opposite side of
the frame for the mating
Cross Member Channel
with holes.
Step 6
Make sure the Cross Member ends are pressed against
the frame hanger. Line up the holes on both Cross Member
channels and insert the 3/8'' flange bolts into the holes that
are farthest from the center in both the top and bottom rows
(4 on each side). Do not tighten the flange bolts yet.
Step 7
On both sides, tighten the wet bolts from Step 3 to 40 ft-lbs.
Then tighten the flange bolts from Step 6 to 40 ft-lbs.
Step 9
Reinstall all wheels, then remove the jacks and supports
from the frame and axles. Torque all lug nuts according to
manufacturer specifications.
Step 8
Insert the clamp
strap inside the
frame hanger and
the bolt into the
Cross Member.
Tighten to 15 ft-lbs.
Step 3
Replace the stock equalizer with the SRE4000 using one
of the 3.40'' long wet bolts (shoulder bolts with grease
zerk) included in the installation kit. The threaded end
of the bolt will face the inside of the trailer. Do not install
the nut until the next step. Reinstall the shackle links and
tighten the shackle link nuts.

Step 2
Remove the shackle links from the equalizer
then remove the shoulder bolt from the frame
hanger.
