Starting Instructions
It is recommended that you read the entire ma nual before
startingthe Mosquito Magnet®trap.
1. To start the trap, press and hold the ON/OFF button for
three seconds until the orange LEDillumin ates.
2. RUNwill show on the display. WARM and the indicator
arrows will also flash on the display. The LED (indicator
above ON/OFF button)will be orange.
3. The fan will rampfromlow speed to high speed after
approximately 3 minutes.
4. Thedisplaywill flash WARM and theLEDwill be orangefor
approximately 15-25minuteswhilethe trap is warming up.
5. After the trapreaches operating temperature, the LEDwill
be green andWARM will disappear fromthe display.
Shut DownInstructions
To turn off the trap, press the ON/OFF button. RUNwill show on
thedisplay. COOL and the indi cator arrows will flash on the
display. The LEDwill be green. After a two minute cool down,
thefan will stop, the LED will turn off and OFFwill show onthe
display.
WhenNot In Use
If the unit is not in use, the gas must be turnedoff at the supply
cylinder. Storage of this unitindoors is permissible only if the
cylinder is disconnected and removed. Cylinders must be stored
outdoors, out of reach of children and mustnot be stored in a
building, garage or any other enclosed area.
End of Season Storage
Refer tothe shutdowninstructions above prior to closing the
propanetank valve anddisconnecting the regulator. Close the
propane tank valve and disconnectregulator. Also, disconnect
the battery but makesure not to removebattery from trap.
Any open MosquitoMagnet®attractant should be
removed and discarded. See attractant label for disposal
instructions. The bug bag shouldalso be discarded prior
to storing the trap.
STORAGE:The trap shouldbe stored indoorsin a garage or
shed in theoff-season. Remove antenna and cover trumpet to
prohibit insects from nesting.Cover unit with trap cover available
at www.mosquitomagnet.com or with a tarp and secure tightlyat
thebottom to keep out dust,spiderwebs and otherdebris.
NOTE:It is recommendedthat youuse the Quick Clear
adapter beforeseasonal storage toavoid build-up
of contaminants duringoff-season (see page 13).
**READ MANUAL BEFORESTARTING**
For Optima l ResultsRun 24hours/day
•Your trap will begincapturing immediately with
significantreduction in the mosquito population in
7-10 days. Allow 4 weeks to significantlyreduce the
mosquito population in your yard.
•Allow trap to cool for 5 minutes before re-start.
•Never spray insecticide in or around trap.
•Trap can be left runningin the rain.
•If using lime or fertilizer compounds, be sure to shut
down thetrap first to prevent dust or fine mistfrom
being drawn into trap and clogging bugbag.
Warning: Improper installation,adjustment,alteration,service
or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Read
theinstallation, operating and maintenance instructions
thoroughly before installingor servicing this equipment.
Caution:The gas pressure regulator provided withthis
appliance must be used. This regulator is set for an outlet
pressure 11.0in. water column.
The gas supply must be turned off at the LP-Gas supply
cylinder when this appliance is notin use.

Set-Up
R-Octenol AttractantInstallation
1.
Locate Mosquito Magnet®OctenolBitingInsect Attractant. Remove
mosquito attractant packet from bag. Carefully peel back foil
cover.
2.
Locate the octenolcarrier compartmentinside the plume tube.
Turn cap counter-clockwise about 1/8 turn. Removeend cap.
3.
Place the open packet of mosquito attractantintothe carrier
compartment.
4.
Replace end cap on carrier compartment.Be sure toalign cap’s
“feet” with groves inside carrier compartment.Secure cap by turning
clockwise untilit clicks (about1/8 turn).

evaporationholes. Wash hands before eating,drinking,chewing gum,using

First Aid
If swallowed
• Call poisoncontrol center or doctor immediatelyfor treatment advice.
• Have personsip a glass of water if able to swallow.
• Donot induce vomitingunless told todoso bythepoisoncontrol center or doctor.
• Do notgive anythingby mouthto an unconsciousperson.
If on skin or clothing
• Take off contaminatedclothing.
• Rinse skin immediatelywith plentyof water for 15-20minutes.
• Call a poisoncontrol center or doctorfor treatmentadvice.
If in eyes
• Holdeye openand rinse slowly and gentlywithwater for 15-20minutes.
• Remove contactlenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, thencontinuerinsing
eye.
• Call a poisoncontrolcenter or doctorfor treatmentadvice.
If inhaled
• Move person to fresh air.
• If person is not breathing,call 911or an ambulance,thengive artificial
respiration,preferablyby mouth-to-mouth,if possible.
• Call a poison control center or doctorfor treatmentadvice.
Have the productcontainer or label with you when calling a poisoncontrol
center or doctor, or goingfor treatment.
EnvironmentalHazards: Do not applydirectly to water. Do notcontaminate
water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate.
Directions for Use
It is a violation of federal law to use this productin a mannerinconsistent
with its labeling.
Replace cartridge every 21days*(Note: After 21 days of use, cartridge appears
the same; however, it will no longerbe effective as the octenolwill have beenreleased.)
*Based on release rate studies conduc ted at a constant ambient air temperature of 80˚F for 21days. Octenol
release from this productwill be more rapid at higher ambient air temperature.
Storage & Disposal
Do notcontaminatewater, foodor feed bystorage or disposal.
Storage: Store unopenedattractantcartridge in a cool, dry place. Discard
outerplastic bag in trash.
Disposal:Do notreuse attractantcartridge.Dispose of used attractant
cartridgein the trash.
