surethecoolingfancanworkproperlytoprotectthe CPUfrom
overheating.
Replacing theCPU
While replacing theCPU,alwaysturnoffthe ATXpowersupplyor
unplugthepowersupply spowercordfromgroundedoutletfirstto
ensurethe safetyofCPU.
Overclocking
Thismotherboardisdesignedtosupportoverclocking.However,
pleasemakesureyourcomponentsareabletotoleratesuchabnor-
malsetting,whiledoing overclocking.Anyattempttooperatebeyond
productspecificationsisnotrecommended.Wedonotguarantee
thedamages orrisks causedbyinadequateoperation orbe-
yond productspecifications.

Whenyouareinstalling the CPU, make suretheCPUhasaheatsink/
coolerfanattachedon thetoptopreventoverheating. If youdonothavethe
heatsink/coolerfan,contactyourdealertopurchaseand install thembeforeturning
onthecomputer.Meanwhile,donot forgettoapplysomesiliconheattransfercom-
pound onCPUbeforeinstalling theheatsink/coolerfanforbetterheatsinking.
Followthe stepsbelowtoinstall the CPU&cooling fancorrectly.Wrong
installationwill causethedamageof yourCPU&mainboard.

IntroductiontoDDR SDRAM
DDR(DoubleDataRate)SDRAMissimilartoconventionalSDRAM,butdoublesthe
ratebytransferring datatwicepercycle.It uses2.5voltsasopposedto3.3volts
used inSDR SDRAM, andrequires184-pinDIMMmodulesratherthan168-pin DIMM
modulesused bySDRSDRAM.

1. The DDRDIMM hasonlyonenotchon thecenterof module.Themodule will
onlyfitin therightorientation.
2. Insertthe DIMMmemorymoduleverticallyintotheDIMMslot.Thenpushitin
until thegoldenfingeronthememorymodule isdeeplyinsertedinthesocket.
3. Theplasticclip ateachsideof theDIMM slotwill automaticallyclose.
