searchforthecorrectBIOS/driverversionthroughoutthe
wholeWebsite.Tousethefunction,youneed toinstall the
“MSILiveUpdate3”application.Afterthe installation,the “MSI
LiveUpdate3”icon(asshownontheright)will appearonthe
screen.
Doubleclickthe “MSILiveUpdate3”icon,and thefol-
lowingscreenwillappear:

Cool nQuiet
ThisutilityprovidesaCPUtemperaturedetectionfunctioncalled Cool nQuiet.
Cool nQuiet isaspecialfeaturedesignedonlyforAMD®Athlon64processor,and
with Cool nQuiet,the systemwillbe capableofdetectingthetemperatureofthe
CPUaccording totheCPU sworkingloading. When theCPUtemperatureclimbsup to
acertain degree,thespeedofthesystemcooling fanwill berisenautomatically.On
theotherhand,the speedofthe systemcoolingfanwillslowdowninstantlywhen
theCPUtemperaturedescendstoitsnormaldegree.
Herethecurrent systemstatus(includingVcore,3.3V, +5Vand12V)and thecurrent
PChardwarestatus(suchastheCPU&systemtemperaturesand all fansspeeds)
areshownon theleftandrightsidesforyoutomonitor.
Whenyouclicktheredtrianglesin theleftand rightsides,twosub-menuswill open
foruserstooverclock,overspecortoadjustthethresholdsofsystemtosendout the
warningmessages.

Intheleftsub-menu,you canconfigurethesettingsof FSB,Vcore,MemoryVoltage
andAGPVoltage byclickingtheradiobuttoninfrontofeachitemandmakeitavailable
(theradiobuttonwillbelightedasyellowwhen selected),usethe “+”and “-”buttons
toadjust, thenclick “OK”toapplythechanges.Thenyoucan click “Save”tosave
thedesiredFSB you justconfigured.
Alsoyoumayclick “Auto”tostarttesting themaximumCPUoverclockingvalue.The
CPUFSBwillautomaticallyincreasethetestingvalue untilthe PCreboots.Oryoumay
click “Default”torestorethedefaultvalues.
Right-side:PChardwarestatusduringrealtimeoperation
Intherightsub-menu,hereyoucanconfigurethePChardwarestatussuchasCPU
&systemtemperaturesand fanspeeds. Youmayusethescroll barstoadjusteach
item,thenclick “OK”toapplythechanges.Thevaluesyousetforthetemperatures
arethe maximumthresholdsforthesystemwarnings, and thevaluesforfanspeeds
aretheminimumthresholds.
Center-side:Cool nQuiet/Usermode
HereyoumayadjusttheCPUfanspeed.If youchoose Usermode,youmayadjust
theCPUfanspeedin8different modes,from HighSpeed to Lowspeed.If you
choose Cool nQuiet,thesystemwillautomaticallyconfigureanoptimalsetting for
you.
