surethecooling fancan workproperlytoprotecttheCPUfrom
overheating.Makesurethatyou applyan evenlayerofthermalpaste
(orthermaltape)betweenthe CPUandtheheatsinktoenhanceheat
dissipation.
Replacing theCPU
While replacingthe CPU, always turnoffthe powersupplyorunplugthe
powersupply spowercordfromthe grounded outletfirsttoensurethe
safetyofCPU.
Overclocking
Thismainboardisdesignedtosupportoverclocking.However,please
makesureyourcomponentsareable totoleratesuchabnormalsetting,
whiledoingoverclocking. Anyattempttooperatebeyondproductspeci-
ficationsisnotrecommended.Wedo notguaranteethedamagesor
risks caused byinadequateoperation orbeyond product specifications.

1.Pleaseturnoffthepowerandunplug
thepowercordbeforeinstalling the
CPU.
2.Pullthe leversidewaysawayfrom
the socket.Makesurethat youraise
the leverup toa90-degree angle.
3.Lookforthegold arrowonthe CPU.
The gold arrowshouldpointas
shownin thepicture.TheCPUcan
onlyfitin thecorrectorientation.
LowertheCPUdownontothe
socket.
4.If theCPUiscorrectlyinstalled,the
pinsshouldbe completelyembedded
intothe socketandcan notbe seen.
Pleasenotethatanyviolationof the
correctinstallationproceduresmay
causepermanentdamage toyour
mainboard.
5.Press theCPUdownfirmlyintothe
socketandclosethelever.Asthe
CPUislikelytomovewhilethe lever
isbeing closed,alwaysclosethe
leverwithyourfingerspressing
tightlyontopoftheCPUtomake
suretheCPUisproperlyand com-
pletelyembeddedintothesocket.

Installing Memory Modules
1.Thememorymodulehasonlyonenotchonthecenterand will onlyfitin theright
orientation.
2.Insertthememorymodule verticallyintotheDIMMslot.Thenpushitin until the
goldenfingeronthe memorymoduleisdeeplyinserted inthe DIMMslot.The plastic
clipateachsideoftheDIMM slot will automaticallyclosewhenthememorymodule
isproperlyseated.
3.Manuallycheckifthememorymodulehasbeenlockedin placebytheDIMM slot
clipsatthesides.
Important
You can barelyseethe golden fingerifthe memorymoduleisproperly
insertedinthe DIMM slot.

1.InDual-Channelmode,makesurethatyou install memorymodulesof
the sametype and densityindifferentchannelDIMM slots.
2.Toenablesuccessfulsystemboot-up,alwaysinsertthememorymodules
intothe DIMM1first.
3. Due tothe chipsetresourcedeployment, the systemdensitywill onlybe
detected up to7+GB(not full 8GB)when eachDIMM isinstalled witha
2GBmemorymodule.
