Basic safety instructions
Carefully read the following safety instructions before installing the basic vehicle harness.
▪Only install the product if you are specially trained in the field of electronics. In all other cases,
have the work performed by a specialist.
▪Install the product as described in these instructions.
▪Replace defective fuses only with fuses with the same amperage.
Intended use
The product is only intended for use in the agricultural sector. The manufacturer is not liable for any
other installation or use of the product.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any personal injury or property damage resulting from
such non-compliance. All risk arising from improper use lies with the user.
Intended use also includes compliance with the conditions for operation and repairs prescribed by the
manufacturer.
All applicable accident prevention regulations and all other generally recognized safety, industrial,
and medical standards as well as all road traffic laws must be observed. Any unauthorized
modifications made to the equipment will void the manufacturer's warranty.

All safety instructions found in these Operating Instructions are composed in accordance with the

There are some actions that need to be performed in several steps. If there is a risk involved in
carrying out any of these steps, a safety warning appears in the instructions themselves.

Product description
With the SMART-CPC basic vehicle harness, you can establish an interface on the vehicle between
the SMART terminal and the ISOBUS job computer of the agricultural implement. This allows you to
transmit data between the terminal and the job computer.
The SMART-CPC basic vehicle harness is available in two different versions:
▪With 6m CPC connection cable and 2.5m job computer connection cable (item number:
3032257601).
▪With 6m CPC connection cable and 10m job computer connection cable (item number:
3032257701).
If your vehicle does not provide an ignition signal in the vehicle cab, you need an additional adapter
cable (item number: 31215401). With this cable, you can connect the basic vehicle harness directly to
the vehicle ignition.

The vehicle is switched off.
1. Fasten the distribution unit at a position in the vehicle from which you can easily reach the other
connections.
2. Connect the CPC connector to the terminal.
3. Connect the AMP connector to the connection on the job computer.
4. Connect the implement connector to the connection in the vehicle cab.
5. Fasten all cables with cable ties. You may not shorten the cables. When fastening, pay attention
to sufficient distance from moving parts and parts that get very hot.
