1.0.0 Introduction
• These operating instructions should be available to the user at all times.
• These operating instructions are meant to help you
- to familiarise yourself with the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS,
- to use the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS for its intended purpose,
- to use the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS in an optimal way.
• Please read these operating instructions carefully!
It contains important information on how to use the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS:
- safely and
- properly.
• Observing them is the assurance of:
- the safety of the user
- the prevention of harmful situations.

• We take no responsibility for damage and malfunctions resulting from non-
observance of these operating instructions.
1.1.0 Warranty
The warranty applies in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions
(GTC) in the version valid at the time of delivery.
1.2.0 Disclaimer
• Multipick is not liable for any damage and costs incurred
due to improper use.
• The use of MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is permitted exclusively
for commercial and legal use.

2.0.0 Safety - Accident Prevention
2.1.0 Warnings and special indications
In the operating instructions, the following symbols are used for safety instructions
and information:

2.2.0 Intended use
• The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS may only be deployed to open a cylinder lock.
Any other use or use beyond this is considered unintended use! The
manufacturer/supplier is not liable for any damage resulting from this. The risk
is borne solely by the user.
• Before operating the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS beyond the intended purpose
described above, the customer service of Multipick must be consulted, to avoid
the loss of warranty.
• Observing the operating instructions is also part of the intended use.
• The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS may only be serviced and repaired by
qualiedpersonnel.
• The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS may only be used with original
accessories from Multipick.

3.2.0 Battery

• NEVER remove safety ttings or put them out of
operation by alteration.
• It is not permitted to operate the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS
with technical defects.
• Always use original Multipick spare parts. Only they
meet the specied technical requirements.
• Only use protected Li-Ion rechargeable batteries.
2.3.0 Improper handling
• Using the device without instructions
• Using the device beyond the intended purpose (legal use, etc.)
• Opening the MUTLIPCIK ARTEMIS
• Deliberately negligent or careless handling of the device
• injuring a third party
2.4.0 Potential hazards - Accident prevention
Do not touch the moving parts when the device is switched on. There is a risk of
injury here! The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is constructed according to state-of-the-
art technology and conforms to the approved safety regulations. Compliance with
the relevant work safety and accident prevention regulations are assumed. It is
recommended to wear protective eyewear when working with the Artemis. Remo-
ve the batteries prior to changing a pick needle.
(There is a possibility that the device may accidentally switch on when changing
the batteries).

4.0.0 CE-mark
The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is built in accordance with the currently valid
EC directives and bears the CE-mark.The enclosed declaration of

The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is shipped with protected
lithium-ion batteries.
• As soon as the motor rpm drops, replace the batteries
immediately with fully charged fresh ones.
• Never drain the battery completely. This could
destroy the battery.
3.2.1 Charging the battery
The scope of delivery includes an appropriate charger for charging both batteries
at the same time. If you use your own charger, make sure to use it accordingly.
Only use protected lithium-ion batteries.

5.2.0 Warranty
The MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is covered by a two-year warranty from the date of
purchase.
6.0.0 Operating the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS
6.1.0 Inserting the batteries
To insert the batteries, unscrew the battery cover. Now you can insert the batte-
ries. Pay attention to the + and - poles. The positive pole must face towards the
front. The cover is the negative pole.
To insert the batteries (2), proceed as follows:
1. Unscrew the battery cover (1).
2. Insert the Li-Ion batteries (2).
3. Screw the battery cover (1) back on, done.
• Only use protected Li-Ion batteries.
• Do not use batteries that are faulty (deformed).

6.2.0 Inserting the pick needle
Unscrew the clamping screw (7) with the supplied Allen key.
Insertthepickneedle(4)intothegap(5)betweenholder(8)andclamp(6)and
push the pick needle as far as it goes.
Tightentheclampingscrew(7)withthehexkeyTorxT10untiltheneedleisrmly
seated.
Now the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS is ready for use.
6.3.0 Working with the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS
6.3.1 Switching the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS on and off

To switch on the Multipick ARTEMIS, press the button on top of the device.
As soon as you release the button (10), the ARTEMIS is switched off.
6.3.2 Adjusting the amplitude
With the adjustment screw (9) on the top of the device you can adjust the amplitu-
dedeectionwithinarangeof1-4mmduringoperation.Thepressurespringon
the adjustment screw holds the adjusted position.

Turn the adjusting screw (9) to the left (counterclockwise):
- Amplitude is increased
Turn the adjusting screw (9) to the right (clockwise):
-Amplitude is decreased
6.3.3 Operation
The continuous operating time should not exceed 10 minutes.
A strong heating of the motor and the housing is possible. In case the pick need-
le jams inside the cylinder or if the pressure is too high, the operation has to be
brieystopped.Thereisadangerthatthemotorcouldgetoverloadedandthat
electronic components might suffer damage. Furthermore, it can happen that
the batteries may also suffer strain. However, this is protected by the protective
mechanism. As a result, the motor will stop and the device cannot be operated for
aperiodofapprox.2to4seconds.Onlyprotectedrechargeablebatteriesmustbe
used to operate the E-Pick.
To ensure safe operation, only E-Pick needles from our company should be used.
The E-Pick needles should only be changed when the device is switched off. Re-
move the battery to prevent it from being switched on accidentally.
6.4.0 Maintaining your device
Your device has been designed and manufactured with utmost care and should
also be treated with care. The following recommendations should help you to
maintain your warranty rights.
• Store the unit in a dry place. Precipitation, humidity and all
types of liquids and moisture may contain minerals that cause
electronic circuitry to corrode.
• If the unit gets wet, remove the batteries and allow the device
to dry completely before reinserting the batteries.
• Do not use or store the device in environments that are dusty
or dirty. Doing so, moving parts and electronic components
may be damaged.
6.5.0 Storage and careful handling
• Never expose the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS to extremely high or
low temperatures.
• Large temperature uctuations can cause condensation to form
inside the device. This can lead to corrosion and damage to the
circuitry.
• Avoid dropping the unit. Shocks, blows and other impacts can
cause damage to the circuitry or mechanical parts.
• Clean the MULTIPICK ARTEMIS only with a clean, dry and soft
cloth.
• The use of cleaning agents can damage the surface of the MUL
TIPICK ARTEMIS.
• High temperatures, such as those caused by strong sunlight
or storage near hot surfaces, can damage the circuitry and
even lead to the risk of explosion.

7.0.0 Disposal
This product must not be disposed of with normal household trash
at the end of its operating lifetime.
Make sure that accumulators, batteries, consumables and spare
parts are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
By bringing it to the appropriate recycling and disposal centre,
you are making an important contribution to the protection of our
environment.
