EU Declaration of Conformity In Accordance With Article 6.3 of the EU Radio &
Telecommunication Terminal Equipment R & TTE Directive 99/5/EC &
RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (Decision 768/2008/EC Annex II, Module A)
As the manufacturer, we declare under our sole responsibility that the EkoTek 2WHUB
equipment in its various forms, conforms to all the applicable essential requirements of the
EU Directive 99/5/EC, in accordance with the procedures of Annex II of the Directive and the
following technical standards:-
ETSI EN 300 440 v1.3.1; ETSI 300 440-2 v1.1.2 (Directive article 3.2);
ETSI EN 489-1 v1.9.2; EN 489-3 v1.4.1 (Directive article 3.1{b});
EN 60950 (Directive article 3.1{a}).
This equipment is designated as a Class 1, Sub Class 21 (non-specific short range device)
under the terms of the Directive and TCAM (Telecommunication Conformity Assessment
and Market Surveillance Committee) classification scheme.
This equipment is manufactured to meet the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU restricted
substance thresholds and does not make use of any exemptions.
A full copy of the Declaration of Conformity may be obtained from www.multitone.com, or
upon application to Multitone.
FCC & Industry Canada Statement of Compliance
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry Canada Standards RSS
GEN & RSS210. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not
cause harmful interference and (2) this device must accept any interference that may cause
undesired operation.
Unauthorised modification to this equipment will void the user's authority to continue to
operate the device within the scope of the Industry Canada and FCC Part 15 Rules.

•To switch the hub on, insert the power supply into the back of the hub.
•Insert back-up batteries.
•Ensure isolator switch is in the correction position.

Raising and clearing alarms
•When an alarm is raised a text message is sent to configured group of pagers.
•The text includes the raising device’s identity, the alarm type that has been activated
and the location of the device. Fixed devices report their identity and alarm type only.
•On clearance of an alarm, a text message is sent with the device’s identity stating the
alarm has been cleared.
•Upon receiving a message, the device will sound an alert and activate the backlight
(depending on profile settings) and the message will be displayed.
•An external klaxon or lamp can be connected and will remain activated until all open
alarms are cleared, unless one of the three navigation buttons is pressed.
Emergency Alarm (red button): (if enabled)
•Single click or double click, (depending on configuration) raises an emergency alarm.
•The alarm is sent out to the pagers/users configured by the administrator.
•Use the ◄button to clear the alarm.
•The alarm will be re-sent at an interval configured by administrator, until the alarm is
cleared.

Receiving Messages
Receiving a message
•The new message will display on the screen.
•Message actions:
oSelect the ▼button to see the available responses (accept and reject or
delete).
oUse the▼button to scroll to the desired option .
oSelect the Xbutton to send the response or delete the message.
oAccept responses will be sent to the user that raised the alarm, to show that
help is on its way.
Message Overview Screen
•After display time-out, the screen returns to the message overview screen.
•The first part of each message is shown in a list format.
•Use the ▼button to scroll through the messages.
•Use the Xbutton to display the full message.

From the functions screen:
•Use the ▼button to scroll to Day/Night
•Press the ►button to select the option
•Press the ▼button to toggle between Day/Night
•Press the ►button to select the required option
ii. Time
•Use the ▼button to scroll to Time
•Press the ►button to select the option
•Use the ▼button to increase the hours to the desired time
•Press the ►button to select the minutes
•Use the ▼button to increase the minutes to the desired time
•Press the ►button to confirm the time
•After a short delay the time displayed in the standby screen will show the new time
iii. Date
•Use the ▼button to scroll to Date
•Press the ►button to select the option
•Use the ▼button to increase the day to the desired day
•Press the ►button to select the month
•Use the ▼button to increase the month to the desired month
•Press the ►button to select the year
•Use the ▼button to increase the year to the desired year
•Press the ►button to confirm the date
•After a short delay the time displayed in the standby screen will show the new date

•Available options: 7 x 5, 10 x 5, 10 x 8 formats (only applicable to message display).
iv. Contrast
•Available options: scroll between 0 to 5.

•The ‘clear alarm’ instruction can be displayed on the screen to show users how to
clear a raised alarm.
