Napoleon Torch GT8 User manual

1. Turn off the electrical and gas supply to
the fireplace.
2. Remove the frame from the unit by
removing the 2 black securing screws
from the top, and the 2 silver hex head
securing screws from the bottom. (FIG 1)
3. Lay the frame down on its front, being
careful not to scratch the finish.
4. Starting at the top of the frame, take
one light assembly and carefully snap it
into place in the hole provided. Repeat
for each of the light assemblies. The
wires on the top 2 light assemblies will
need to be fed in behind the heat shields.
Note: When installing the light kit be
careful not to scratch your fingers
on any of the exposed screws in the
frame.
5. Using FIG 3 as a guide, connect the
light assemblies to the appropriate flags
on the wire harness. The wire harness is
labeled (TR) top right, (BR) bottom right
(TL) Top left and (BL) bottom left.
6. Secure the wires into the clips at both
sides and the bottom of the frame. Use
the extra clips provided to retain any
loose wires.
7. Re-attach frame onto unit.
8. Remove the control panel by removing
the 2 screws securing it along the top
edge. Leave the wires connected to the
ON/OFF switch. (FIG 2)
9. Place the transformer into the bottom
of the unit. Plug the transformer into the
receptacle.
10. Lay the control panel flat along the
bottom edge of the frame. Attach one
of the wire leads from the transformer
to the lead on the wire harness labeled
“TRANS”, and the other to the ON/OFF
switch. Attach the last lead on the wire
harness labeled “SWI” to the ON/OFF
switch.
11. Re-secure the control panel.
12. Turn on the gas supply and electrical
power.

1. Coupez l’alimentation électrique et en
gaz au foyer.
2. Retirez le contour de l’appareil en retirant
les deux vis noires du dessus et les deux vis
argentées à tête hexagonale du dessous.
(FIG. 1)
3. Déposez le contour face vers le bas en
prenant soin de ne pas égratigner le fini.
4. En commençant par le haut du contour,
prenez un jeu de lumières et enclenchez-
le soigneusement dans le trou prévu à cet
effet. Répétez cette procédure pour chacun
des jeux de lumières. Les fils des deux
jeux de lumières supérieures devront être
acheminés derrière les écrans thermiques.
Note : Lors de l’installation des jeux
de lumières, prenez soin de ne pas
égratigner vos doigts sur les vis
exposées dans le contour.
5. À l’aide de la figure FIG. 3, branchez les
jeuxdelumièresauxconnecteursappropriés
sur le harnais de fils. Le harnais de fils est
identifié (TR) pour le coin supérieur droit,
(BR) pour le coin inférieur droit, (TL) pour le
coin supérieur gauche et (BL) pour le coin
inférieur gauche.
6. Fixez les fils dans les attaches de chaque
côté et dans le bas du contour. Utilisez les
attaches supplémentaires fournies pour
fixer tout fil qui est lâche.
7. Réinstallez le contour sur l’appareil.
8. Retirez le panneau de commande en
retirant les deux vis qui servent à fixer la
partie supérieure. Laissez les fils branchés
à l’interrupteur MARCHE/ARRÊT. (FIG. 2)
9. Placez le transformateur dans le bas de
l’appareil. Branchez le transformateur dans
le réceptacle.
10. Mettez le panneau de commande à
plat, au niveau de la bordure inférieure du
contour. Fixez un des fils du transformateur
au fil du harnais de fils identifié “TRANS”,
et l’autre à l’interrupteur MARCHE/ARRÊT.
Fixez le dernier fil du harnais de fils identifié
“SWI” à l’interrupteur MARCHE/ARRÊT.
11. Réinstallez le panneau de commande.
12. Ouvrez l’alimentation en gaz et
rétablissez l’alimentation électrique.
