1 Description
2 Getting started
1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
2. Install 3 AA (1,5 V - LR03) batteries following the polarity indicated in the compartment.
3. Open the cover on top of the unit and press the RESET button (2) once.
Important
• Never throw batteries in fire as they may explode.
• Keep batteries away from small children.
• Remove the batteries if the device is not going to be used for a long period.
• Handle damaged or leaking batteries very carefully.
3 Radio Controlled Clock (RCC)
The RCC has the most accurate time within the continent.
This unit receives the time signal transmitted by
Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) of
Germany, which is regulated by 4 atomic clocks and in
average deviates less than 1 second in 2 million years.
PTB transmits the time signal (DCF77, 77.5kHz)
continuously from Mainflingen, 25 km southeast of
Frankfurt (am Main). It is expected that the signal can
cover a distance of 2,000 km from the transmitter.
However, some environmental effects may affect the
transmitting distance.

3.1 Environmental reception effects
With all wireless devices, the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to, the following,
therefore for best accuracy avoid the following situations:
3.2 Wave signal reception
As long as the batteries are supplying power to the clock, the clock will receive the time signal and
adjust the time automatically. No manual adjustment is required after power up. Accurate
adjustment of the clock based on the time signal is supported in the continental Europe.
The clock automatically receives the time signal everyday at 1:00 am and makes any required
adjustment to the time setting, indicated by the flashing RCC icon .
If the time signal is successfully received the icon will appear and the RCC icon
will stop flashing.
Important: Do not press any button while the wave signal reception is in progress.
3.3 Triggering a wave signal reception manually
You can trigger a wave signal reception at any time by pressing the WAVE/SET button (4).
3.4 Unsuccessful wave signal reception
If the automatic updates are unsuccessful, the wave on top of the antenna tower and the
will disappear. The unit will try to receive the signal every 3 hours until successful
reception.

4 Operation
4.1 Setting language and time zone
1. Press and hold the WAVE/SET button (4) to enter set mode.
2. Press the +button (3) for your desired time zone, 0 for GMT+1 time zone, 1 for GMT+2 time
zone or -1 for GMT time zone.
3. Press the - button (5) to change the day of the week language display.
4. Press the WAVE/SET button (4) to confirm and enter calendar setup mode. (English/
German/French or Italian).
4.2 Manual calendar and clock setup
5. After setting the language and time zone, the year will blink on the display.
6. Press the +(3) or -(5) button to toggle to the correct year.
7. Press the WAVE/SET button (4) to confirm.
8. Follow steps 5-6 to set the date, time and 12hr/24hr mode.
9. When in 12/24hr setup mode, press the +(3) button to toggle between 12hr and 24hr mode
and press the -(5) button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
10. Press the WAVE/SET button (4) to confirm and return to stand-by.
4.3 Setting alarm time
1. Press the +(3) or -(5) button to set the alarm time. The alarm time and AL icon will be
displayed.
2. Slide the alarm switch (7) to ALM ON to activate the alarm, will appear on the screen.
3. When the alarm sounds press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (1), the alarm will turn off and will
sound again the next day at the same time.
4. To activate the snooze alarm, slide the alarm switch (7) to SNOOZE, and will
appear.
5. When the snooze alarm sounds press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (1), the alarm will sound
again in approximately 5 minutes.
6. To deactivate the alarm, slide the alarm switch (7) to ALM OFF, and disappear.
4.4 Backlight
1. Press the COLOR SELECT button (6) to toggle between the 7 colour backlight options.

5 Care of your clock
• Avoid exposing the clock to extreme temperatures, water or severe shock.
• Avoid contact with any corrosive materials such as alcohol, cleaning agents or perfume.
• Do not subject the clock to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity. Any of
these conditions may shorten the life of the clock.
• Do not tamper with any of the internal components of this clock. This will void the warranty
and may cause damage.

Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use cleaning agents
or abrasive solvents.
8 Disposal of the device (environment)
At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the
normal household garbage but bring the product to a collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product,
user guide and/or box indicate this.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling
point. By re-using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an
important contribution to the protection of the environment. Please contact your local authorities
in case you need more information on the collection points in your area.
Batteries must be removed before disposing of the device.
Dispose of the batteries in an environmental manner according to your country regulations.

9Warranty
9.1 Warranty period
The devices have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the new unit
is purchased. There is no warranty on standard or rechargeable batteries (AA/AAA type).
Consumables or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the equipment are not
covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of the original or copy of the purchase receipt, on
which the date of purchase and the unit-model are indicated.
9.2 Warranty handling
A faulty unit needs to be returned to an authorized service centre including a valid purchase note
and a filled in service card.
If the unit develops a fault during the warranty period, the service centre will repair any defects
caused by material or manufacturing faults free of charge, by either repairing or exchanging the
faulty units or parts of the faulty units. In case of replacement, colour and model can be different
from the original purchased unit.
The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The warranty period is
not extended if the unit is exchanged or repaired by the service centre.
9.3 Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from use of
non-original parts or accessories are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire,
nor any damage caused during transportation.
No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the units has been changed, removed or
rendered illegible.
Any warranty claims will be invalid if the unit has been repaired, altered or modified by the buyer.

batterijvak.

3 Radiogestuurde klok
De radiogestuurde klok is de nauwkeurigste klok op het
vasteland. Dit toestel ontvangt het tijdsignaal dat door de
Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) van
Duitsland wordt verzonden. Dit signaal wordt geregeld
door 4 atoomklokken en wijkt gemiddeld minder dan
1 seconde per 2 miljoen jaar af. PTB verzendt het
tijdsignaal (DCF77, 77,5 kHz) continu vanuit Mainflingen,
25 km ten zuidoosten van Frankfurt am Main. Het signaal
van de zender kan normaliter binnen een straal van
2.000 km ontvangen worden. Bepaalde omgevings-
factoren kunnen de zendafstand echter beïnvloeden.

3.1 Omgevingsfactoren die de ontvangst beïnvloeden
Bij alle draadloze toestellen kan de ontvangst onder meer beïnvloed worden door onderstaande
factoren; probeer onderstaande situaties daarom te vermijden::
3.2 Signaalontvangst
Zolang de batterijen de klok voorzien van stroom zal de klok het tijdsignaal ontvangen en de tijd
automatisch aanpassen. De juiste tijd hoeft na het inschakelen niet handmatig ingesteld te
worden. Nauwkeurige aanpassing van de tijd op basis van het tijdsignaal wordt op het Europese
vasteland ondersteund.
De klok ontvangt het tijdsignaal elke dag automatisch om 1.00 uur 's nachts en voert dan een
eventueel benodigde aanpassing van de tijd uit. Dit wordt aangegeven door middel van het
knipperende RCC-pictogram .
Als het tijdsignaal met succes ontvangen is, wordt het pictogram weergegeven en zal
het RCC-pictogram stoppen met knipperen.
Druk op geen enkele toets tijdens de ontvangst van het tijdsignaal.
3.3 Ontvangst tijdsignaal handmatig activeren
U kunt de ontvangst van het tijdsignaal op elk gewenst moment activeren door op de WAVE/SET-
toets te drukken.
3.4 Ontvangst tijdsignaal mislukt
Als de automatische updates niet succesvol zijn, verdwijnt het golfsymbool op de afgebeelde
antennemast en verdwijnt het pictogram Het toestel probeert het signaal om de
3 uur te ontvangen totdat dit is gelukt.

4Werking
4.1 Taal en tijdzone instellen
1. Houd de WAVE/SE -toets (4) ingedrukt om de instelmodus te activeren.
2. Druk op de +toets (3) om de gewenste tijdzone te selecteren: 0 voor GMT+1, 1 voor
GMT+2, -1 voor GMT.
3. Druk op de - toets (5) om de dag van de week in een andere taal weer te geven.
4. Druk op de WAVE/SET-toets (4) om te bevestigen en de kalenderinstelmodus te activeren.
(Engels, Duits, Frans of Italiaans.).
4.2 Kalender en klok handmatig instellen
5. Na het instellen van de taal en de tijdzone knippert het jaartal op het scherm.
6. Druk op de +(3) of -(5) toets tot u bij het juiste jaar komt.
7. Druk op de WAVE/SET-toets (4) om te bevestigen.
8. Herhaal stap 5 en 6 om datum, tijd en de 12- of 24-uursweergave in te stellen.
9. Om de 12-/24-uursweergave in te stellen: druk op de +knop (3) om te kiezen tussen 12 en
24 uur en druk op de -toets (5) om te kiezen tussen Celsius en Fahrenheit.
10. Druk op de WAVE/SET-toets (4) om te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de stand-bymodus.
4.3 Alarmtijd instellen
1. Druk op de +(3) of -(5) toets om de alarmtijd in te stellen. De alarmtijd en het AL-pictogram
verschijnen op het scherm.
2. Schuif de alarmschakelaar (7) naar ALM ON om de alarmfunctie te activeren;
verschijnt op het scherm.
3. Als het alarm afgaat, drukt u op de SNOOZE/LIGHT-toets (1); het alarm staat nu uit en zal
de volgende dag op dezelfde tijd weer afgaan.
4. Om het sluimeralarm te activeren, schuift u de alarmschakelaar (7) naar SNOOZE, en
verschijnen op het scherm.
5. Als het sluimeralarm afgaat, drukt u op de SNOOZE/LIGHT-toets (1); het alarm gaat dan na
ongeveer 5 minuten weer af.
6. Om het alarm uit te schakelen, schuift u de alarmschakelaar (7) naar ALM OFF, en
verdwijnen van het scherm.

4.4 Achtergrondverlichting
1. Druk op de COLOR SELECT-toets (6) om een van de 7 kleuren voor de
achtergrondverlichting te selecteren.
2. Als de SNOOZE/LIGHT-toets (1) wordt ingedrukt, wordt de gekozen kleur weergegeven als
achtergrondverlichting.
5 Verzorging van de klok
• Stel de klok niet bloot aan extreme temperaturen, water of harde schokken.
• Vermijd contact met bijtende materialen zoals alcohol, reinigingsmiddelen of parfum.
• Stel de klok niet bloot aan extreme krachten, schokken, temperaturen, overmatig stof of
vocht. Deze omstandigheden verkorten de levensduur van de klok.
• Knoei niet met de componenten binnen in de klok. Hierdoor vervalt de garantie en kan
schade ontstaan.

Reinig het toestel met een licht vochtige of antistatische doek. Gebruik nooit reinigingsmiddelen
of agressieve oplosmiddelen.
8 Het toestel afvoeren (milieu)
Na afloop van de levenscyclus van het product mag u het niet met het normale
huishoudelijke afval weggooien, maar moet u het naar een inzamelpunt brengen
voor recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur.Dit wordt aangeduid
door het symbool op het product, in de handleiding en/of op de verpakking.
Sommige materialen waaruit het product is vervaardigd, kunnen worden

9Garantie
9.1 Garantieperiode
Op de toestellen wordt een garantie van 24 maanden verleend. De garantieperiode gaat in op de
dag waarop het nieuwe toestel wordt gekocht. Er is geen garantie op standaard of oplaadbare
batterijen (type AA/AAA). Kleine onderdelen of defecten die een verwaarloosbaar effect hebben
op de werking of waarde van het toestel worden niet gedekt door de garantie.
De garantie moet worden aangetoond door overlegging van het originele aankoopbewijs of een
kopie waarop de aankoopdatum en het toesteltype staat vermeld.
9.2 Afwikkkeling van garantieclaims
Een defect toestel moet, samen met een geldig aankoopbewijs en een ingevulde
onderhoudskaart, worden teruggestuurd naar een erkend servicecentrum.
Als het toestel tijdens de garantieperiode een defect vertoont, zal het servicecentrum eventuele
defecten die te wijten zijn aan materiaal- of productiefouten gratis repareren door defecte
toestellen of onderdelen van defecte toestellen te repareren of te vervangen. In het geval dat het
toestel wordt vervangen, kan de kleur en het model afwijken van het oorspronkelijk gekochte
toestel. De oorspronkelijke aankoopdatum is bepalend voor het begin van de garantieperiode. De
garantieperiode wordt niet verlengd als het toestel wordt vervangen of gerepareerd door het
servicecentrum.
9.3 Garantiebeperkingen
Schade of defecten die te wijten zijn aan onjuist gebruik of bediening en schade die te wijten is
aan het gebruik van niet-originele onderdelen of accessoires worden niet gedekt door de garantie.
De garantie dekt geen schade die te wijten is aan externe factoren, zoals bliksem, water en brand,
noch enige transportschade. Er kan geen aanspraak worden gemaakt op de garantie als het
serienummer op het toestel gewijzigd, verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt is.
Garantieclaims zijn ongeldig indien het toestel hersteld, gewijzigd of aangepast werd door de
koper.

2 Avant de commencer

3 Horloge radio-pilotée (RCC)
L'horloge radio-pilotée donne l'heure de façon plus
précise lorsqu'elle est utilisée sur le continent. Ce produit
reçoit le signal horaire émis par l’institut allemand de
physique et de métrologie (Physikalisch-Technische
Bundesanstalt (PTB)). Ce signal est réglé par 4 horloges
atomiques et ne dévie, en moyenne, que d'une seconde
tous les 2 millions d'années.
Le PTB émet le signal horaire (DCF77, 77,5 kHz) de
façon continue depuis Mainflingen, ville située à 25 km au
sud de Francfort-sur-le-Main. La portée du signal est
d'environ 2 000 km. Cependant, cette distance de
transmission peut être altérée par des facteurs
environnementaux.

3.1 Influences environnementales sur la réception
La capacité de réception des appareils sans fil en général peut, entre autres, être altérée dans les
situations suivantes, qui doivent être évitées pour un fonctionnement précis de ce produit :
3.2 Réception du signal de l’onde
Tant que les piles alimentent l'horloge, celle-ci reçoit le signal horaire et ajuste l'heure de façon
automatique. Aucun ajustement manuel n'est nécessaire après la mise sous tension. Un
ajustement précis de l'horloge effectué par le signal horaire est garanti en Europe continentale.
Le signal horaire est automatiquement reçu chaque jour à 1:00 du matin et les ajustements
temporels nécessaires sont effectués. Durant la réception, l'icône clignote .
Si le signal horaire est correctement reçu, l'icône apparaît et l'icône de l'horloge radio-
pilotée arrête de clignoter.
Important : N'appuyez sur aucun bouton tant que la réception du signal ondulatoire est en
cours.
3.3 Déclenchement manuel d'une réception de signal ondulatoire
Vous pouvez déclencher une réception de signal ondulatoire à tout moment en appuyant sur le
bouton WAVE/SET (4).
3.4 Échec de la réception du signal ondulatoire
Si les mises à jour automatiques échouent, l'onde en haut de l'antenne et
disparaissent. L'appareil tente alors de recevoir le signal toutes les 3 heures jusqu'à ce que la
réception soit effective.

4 Utilisation
4.1 Sélection de la langue et du fuseau horaire
1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton de l’onde / du réglage WAVE/SET (4) pour accéder
au mode du réglage.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton +(3) pour choisir votre fuseau horaire, 0 pour le fuseau horaire
GMT+1, 1 pour le fuseau horaire GMT+2 ou -1 pour le fuseau horaire GMT.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton -(5) pour changer l’affichage de la langue du jour de la semaine.
4. Appuyez sur le bouton de l’onde / du réglage WAVE/SET (4) pour confirmer et accéder au
mode de configuration du calendrier. (Anglais/Allemand/Français ou Italien).
4.2 Configuration manuelle du calendrier et de l'horloge
5. Après avoir réglé la langue et le fuseau horaire, l’année clignote sur l’écran.
6. Appuyez sur les boutons +(3) ou -(5) pour basculer à l'année exacte.
7. Appuyez sur le bouton de l’onde / du réglage WAVE/SET (4) pour confirmer votre choix.
8. Suivez les étapes 5 et 6 pour régler la date, l'heure et le mode 12/24 heures.
9. En mode de configuration 12/24 heures, appuyez sur le bouton +(3) pour basculer entre le
mode 12 heures et le mode 24 heures et appuyez sur le bouton -(5) pour basculer entre
Celsius et Fahrenheit.
10. Appuyez sur le bouton de l’onde / du réglage WAVE/SET (4) pour confirmer et revenir en
mode de veille.
4.3 Réglage de l'heure de l'alarme
1. Appuyez sur les boutons +(3) ou -(5) pour régler l’heure de l’alarme. L’heure de l’alarme et
l’icône AL s’afficheront.
2. Faites glisser le commutateur (7) sur ALM ON pour activer l’alarme, apparaîtra sur
l’écran.
3. Lorsque l'alarme sonne, appuyez sur le bouton rappel d’alarme / lumière SNOOZE/LIGHT
(1); l'alarme s'arrêtera et sonnera de nouveau le jour suivant à la même heure.
4. Pour activer le report d’alarme, faites glisser le commutateur d’alarme (7) sur SNOOZE,
et apparaîtront.
5. Lorsque le rappel d'alarme sonne, appuyez sur le bouton rappel d’alarme / lumière
SNOOZE/LIGHT (1), l'alarme sonnera de nouveau dans approximativement 5 minutes.
6. Pour désactiver le report d’alarme, faites glisser le commutateur d’alarme (7) sur ALM OFF,
et disparaissent.

4.4 Rétroéclairage
1. Appuyez sur le bouton COLOR SELECT (6) pour basculer entre les 7 options de
rétroéclairage coloré.
2. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton SNOOZE/LIGHT (1), la couleur choisie s’affiche pour le
rétroéclairage.
5 Précautions d’usage de votre horloge
• Évitez d’exposer l’horloge à des températures extrêmes, à l’eau ou à des chocs violents.

9Garantie
9.1 Période de garantie
Les appareils bénéficient d'une période de garantie de 24 mois. La période de garantie prend effet
le jour de l'achat du nouvel appareil. Il n'y a aucune garantie sur les piles standard ou
rechargeables (de type AA/AAA). Les accessoires et les défauts qui ont un effet nuisible sur le
fonctionnement ou la valeur de l'appareil ne sont pas couverts.
La garantie s'applique uniquement sur présentation du reçu d'achat original ou une copie de celui-
ci sur lequel figurent la date de l'achat et le modèle de l'appareil.
9.2 Mise en œuvre de la garantie
Tout appareil défectueux doit être retourné à un centre de service après-vente agréé,
accompagné d'un ticket d'achat valable et d'une fiche de service dûment complétée.
En cas de panne pendant la période de garantie, le centre de service après-vente réparera
gratuitement les dysfonctionnements dus à un vice de matière ou de fabrication, en réparant ou
en remplaçant les pièces ou les appareils défectueux. En cas de remplacement, la couleur et le
modèle peuvent être différents de ceux de l'appareil acheté initialement.
La date d'achat initiale détermine le début de la période de garantie. La période de garantie n'est
pas prolongée si l'appareil est remplacé ou réparé par le centre de service après-vente.
9.3 Exclusions de garantie
Les dommages et les pannes causés par un mauvais traitement ou une utilisation incorrecte et
les dommages qui résultent de l'utilisation de pièces et d'accessoires non originaux ne sont pas
couverts par la garantie. La garantie ne couvre pas les dommages causés par des éléments
extérieurs tels que la foudre, l'eau et le feu, ni les dommages provoqués par le transport.
Aucune garantie ne pourra être invoquée si le numéro de série indiqué sur les appareils a été
modifié, supprimé ou rendu illisible. Aucune garantie ne peut non plus être invoquée si l'appareil
a été réparé ou modifié par l'acheteur.

2 Erste Schritte

3 Funkuhr (RCC)
Die Funkuhr zeigt innerhalb Kontinentaleuropas die
genaue Zeit an. Das Gerät empfängt das von der
Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt (PTB)
ausgesandte Signal, das durch vier Atomuhren gesteuert
wird und eine Abweichung von weniger als einer
Sekunde in zwei Millionen Jahren aufweist.
Die PTB übermittelt dauerhaft das Zeitsignal (DCF77,
77,5 kHz) aus Mainflingen, 25 km südwestlich von
Frankfurt am Main. Das Signal sollte in einer Entfernung
von 2.000 km vom Sender noch empfangen werden
können. Jedoch können einige Umwelteinflüsse die
Übertragungsstrecke verkürzen.

3.1 Umgebungsbedingte Einflüsse auf den Empfang
Bei allen mobilen Geräten kann die Empfangsqualität unter anderem durch nachstehend
aufgeführte Einflüsse beeinträchtigt sein. Daher sollten zum Erreichen einer besseren
Empfangsqualität folgende Situationen vermieden werden:
• Lange Übertragungsstrecken
• Nahe gelegene Berge und Täler
• Hohe Gebäude in der unmittelbaren

3.2 Empfang des Funksignals
Solange die Uhr von den Batterien mit Strom versorgt wird, empfängt sie das Funksignal und stellt
automatisch die Zeit ein. Nach dem Einschalten ist keine manuelle Anpassung erforderlich. Die
genaue Einstellung der Uhr anhand des Zeitsignals wird innerhalb Kontinentaleuropas
unterstützt.
Die Uhr empfängt automatisch das Zeitsignal jeden Tag um 13.00 Uhr und führt alle nötigen
Anpassungen der Zeiteinstellung durch, was durch das blinkende Symbol (RCC) angezeigt
wird.
Wenn das Zeitsignal erfolgreich empfangen wurde, erscheint das Symbol und das
Funkuhr-Symbol hört auf zu blinken.
Wichtig: Drücken Sie keine Tasten, während das Signal empfangen wird.
3.3 Manuelles Auslösen des Funksignals
Sie können jederzeit den Empfang des Funksignals auslösen, indem Sie die WAVE/SET-Taste
drücken.
3.4 Fehlgeschlagener Empfang des Funksignals
Wenn die automatische Aktualisierung fehlschlägt, erlischt das Wellensymbol über dem
Antennensymbol und das Symbol wird nicht mehr angezeigt Das Gerät versucht,
alle drei Stunden das Signal zu empfangen, bis der Empfang erfolgt ist.
4 Betrieb
4.1 Sprache und Zeitzone einstellen
1. Halten Sie die SET/WAVE-Taste (4) gedrückt, um den Einstellmodus aufzurufen.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste +(3) für die gewünschte Zeitzone, 0 für die Zeitzone GMT+1, 1 für die
Zeitzone GMT+2 und -1 für die Zeitzone GMT.
3. Drücken Sie die Taste -(5), um die Spracheinstellung der Wochentage zu ändern.
4. Drücken Sie zur Bestätigung auf die Einstelltaste WAVE/SET (4) und rufen Sie den
Kalender-Einstellmodus auf. (Englisch/Deutsch/Französisch oder Italienisch).
