Troubleshooting
- Check the battery
- Make sure the inputs into the board are inserted correctly
- Make sure instrument cable is inserted fully
- Check the instrument cable
- Check the equipment the Warp Drive is plugged into
Controls
Experiment with the balance of the pickups to taste. We have found the
best results starting with all magnetic, then blending a touch of piezo
to add attack, shimmer, and transparent frequencies.
Installation
You will need:
Phillips screwdriver
1/8 inch Allen wrench
Mount the jack on the frame
using the included hardware.
Optimal position shown
here.
Unscrew tip and hardware
off the jack, slide the jack
through the mounting
hardware and replace tip
and hardware. Slide wire
terminal through a slotted
hole in the frame.
Remove the resonator. Insert the
spring in between the two spring
holds and compress the Warp Drive
with the battery end at the neck
position. Lower it down towards
the bottom of the rim until the
EMG pickup touches the head.
Raise the EMG pickup off the head
using the spring loaded screws
until it's a business card's distance
away.
Use the included 3M two-sided
tape to adhere the piezo onto the
head. We recommend placing it
directly under the middle foot of
the bridge.
Plug in the connector from the
frame to the circuit board.
The other thumb knob boosts mid frequencies to help translate the banjo's
natural tone. Turning it clockwise will add presence and fullness while
tuning back the highs and lows. Again, play with it until your plugged in
tone reaches new dimensions! When satisfied, reinstall resonator.
*Remove instrument cable from jack when not in use to avoid draining
the battery
*Secure the unit when changing batteries to keep the battery compartment
or Warp Drive from shifting
