4 Descripon
4.1 Intended use
NOTE! ForFlexFilterEX,usetheHVControlPanelEX.
ThisHVControlPanelEXisintendedforthecontrolandsupervisionofahighvacuum
systemwithNedermanFlexFilterandVACorRBUvacuumsource.

4.2 Funcon
ThefunconoftheHVControlPanelEXistocontrolcleaning,andifapplicable,emptying
ofNedermanFlexFilterandpreseparators.
ItstartsaVACorRBUusingtheStar/Delta(Y/D)methodinordertoreducestarngmotor
current.Duringthestartsequence,thestartupvalveinthevacuumunitreducesthemotor
load.WheninDelta(D)mode,thevalveisacvatedandtheunitcansupplythesystem.
Therearethreecontrolmodes:O,Standby,andRunning.
Thecontrolpanelhasalsoaweekmerandanovermefuncon.
APilotsignal(PS)isusedininstallaonswithautomacstart/stopcontrolledbymicro
switchesonworksites(AS-set).
Aerpoweristurnedontothesystem,thecontrolpanelisnormallyinOmodeandcan
besettoStandbymodeeitherbypressingthegreenStartbuon,remotely,orbythe
Weekmer.
ThecontrolpanelentersStandbymodeandwaitsforapilotsignal.Whenthepilotsignal
becomesacve,thecontrolpanelgoesintoRunningmodeandtheVAC/RBUstarts.Atest
startcanbedonebypressingtheTest-startbuon.
WhenthePilotSignalbecomesdeacvated,theSSRstopdelaybeginstocountdown,the
HVControlPanelEXgoesintoStandbymode,andtheVAC/RBUstops.
WhenRBUisselected,theDIRidlingdelayalsostartstocountdown,thestartupvalve
opensandtheRBUgoesintoIdlingmode.
Toreducetheriskofdustaccumulaonintheductsystem,ushvalvescanbeinstalledin
theupstreamendofducts.Theushingfunconopensthesevalvesinasequence.

Useappropriateboltsandplugsforthesurface.Theboltsmusteachstandastress

PTCrelayautoresetswhenpoweriso.
WhenthePTCrelayistriggeredbyhightemperatureinthemotor,thesystemshutso
andwhenturningothepowertoopenthedoor,thereisnosignthattherelayhasbeen
triggered.Motoroverloadrelayshallbemanuallyreset.
Soaeranalarm,andopeningthedoor,ifthemotoroverloadrelayisnottripped,itwould
bethePTCthathascausedthealarm.

outputwithoutanyaccidentalshortcircuitsfromcontrolcables.
Beforepoweringupthecabinet,checkallpowerconneconsandcheckthatControl
transformerT1isconnectedtosamevoltageascabinetpowervoltagesupply.
Beforeturningonthevoltage,alwaysmeasuretheincomingvoltagetoverifythatthe
cabinet’scontroltransformergetsthecorrectvoltage.
MainsvoltageisaccessibleformeasurementonQ1incomingterminals.
