findabar‐codelabelwiththisnumberonthebackofyourdevice.Thisnumberisalsostoredinyourdeviceand
canbepresentedonthescreenwhenyouenter*#06#instandbymodeafterswitchingonthedevice.Any
mobilephonemusthaveagloballyuniqueIMEI.Werecommendthatyoumaintainthisnumberproperlyas
thisnumbercanprotectyourphoneagainstunauthorizeduse,evenusingdifferentSIMcards.

PIN(4‐8digits)
ThePINisthepersonalidentitynumberofyourSIMcard,whichisprovidedbyyournetworkoperator.
IfyouenterthewrongPINthreetimesconsecutively,theSIMcardisblocked.Tounblockit,youneedtoenter
yourPUK.Fordetails,pleaseconsultyournetworkoperator.
PIN2(4‐8digits)
ThePIN2willbeprovidedforsomeSIMcardstousesomefunctionslike,callfeenoticeandfixeddialing
number.ThesefunctionscanbeusedonlywhenyourSIMcardsupportsthem.
PUK
TounblocktheblockedPIN,youneedtoenteryourPUK(PersonalUnblockingKey).YourPUKisprovided
togetherwithyourSIMcard.Ifnot,pleasecontactyournetworkoperatortogetit.IfyouforgetyourPUK,

SIMCard
Whenyouregisterasasubscriberwithanetworkoperator,yougetaSIM(SubscriberIdentityModule)
card.IftheSIMcardyougetisaboutthesamesizeasacreditcard,removeedgesandreservethe
smallerpart.
Note:Thismobilephonesupports1.8vand3vSIMcard,whileitdoesn’tsupport5vSIMcard.
WithoutthisSIMcard,youcannotmakefulluseofyourdevice.
PleaseuseyourSIMcardwithextremecare.DonottrytobendorpresstheSIMcard.Trytonottouch
themetalliccontacts.DonotplacetheSIMcardnearelectricormagneticstorageMedias.Keepit
awayfromdustandwater.IfyourSIMcardisdamaged,pleasecontactyournetworkserviceprovider.

Switchoffyourdeviceandunplugitfromthecharger.
Putyourdeviceupsidedown,slidethecoverofthedeviceandremovethebattery.
SlidetheSIMcardintoitsholder.MakesurethatthemetalliccontactsoftheSIMcardarefacing
down,andthecutoffcorneriscorrectlyaligned.
SlidetheSIMcardinwardstotheend.
Insertthebatteryandslidethebatterycoverintoplace,leavingnogapwiththedevice.
ToremoveSIMcard
Switchoffyourdeviceandunplugitfromthecharger.
Slidethecoverofthedeviceandremovethebattery.
GentlyplaceyourfingerovertheSIMcardandpulltowardsthebackofyourphone.DOnotexertanyextra
pressurewhileslidingouttheSIMcard.
Battery
Yourdeviceispoweredbyarechargeablebattery.Thefullperformanceofanewbatteryisarchivedonlyafter
twoorthreecompletechargeanddischargecycles(eachrechargeperiodshouldbeabout12to16hours,but
notmorethan24hours).Werecommendthatyourechargethebatteryafterthebatteryrunsoutofpower
andthedeviceswitchesoffautomatically.

Toarchivethefullperformanceofthebattery,werecommendyoufullydischargeyourbatteryonceevery
month.Todothis,youjustneedtoletthephonerunofpowerandswitchoffautomatically.

Toremovethebattery
Makesurethatthedevicehasbeenswitchedoffandthechargerorotherequipmenthavebeendisconnected
fromthephone.
Placethephonefacingdown,andpushawaytoremovethebatterycover.
Pullthebatteryupwardsfromthebottomendofthephone.Oncereleased,removethebattery.
Tochargethebattery
Makesurethatthebatteryhasbeeninstalledinthedevice.
Findthechargersocketatthebottomofthedevice.Itcanbeaccessedbyslidingthesmallcover.Thecharger
andEarphonessocketarethesame.Thisisthesmalleroneoutofthetwothatarepresentatthebottomof
yourphone.Gentlyinserttheconnecterofthechargerintothissocket.Pleasedonottrytoforceitoruse
extraforceoritmaydamagetheconnector.
Plugthechargerintoapowersocket.
Onceconnected,youwillseethe“Charging”animationonyourphone.Afterthebatteryisfullycharged,
disconnectthechargerfromthepowersocket,andgentlypulltheconnectorfromyourphone.
Donotconnectordisconnecttheplugofthechargerforcibly;otherwise,thedeviceorthechargercouldbe
easilydamaged.
Batteryicononthescreen
Whenthebatteryisbeingcharged,theindicatorbarscrollsrepeatedly.
Afterthebatteryisfullycharged,theindicatorbarstopsscrolling.
Ifyourdeviceisoff,youwillseeyourscreenlightupandananimationwillplaythatsays“Charging”.Please
waitforafewminutesforthistodisplayifyourdeviceisturnedoff.
Ifyourbatteryhasbeenunusedandcompletelydrainedforalongperiodoftime,itmaytakeseveralminutes
beforeyourphonewillstartcharging.

Lowbatteryalarm
Whenthebatteryisrunninglow,ashortwarningtonewillbeplayed.Thedevicewillgivethesewarningtones
severaltimesbeforeautomaticallyturningoff.Itisbesttofindapowersourceassoonasthefirstwarning
toneisheard.Ifyougetthelowbatteryalarminacall,pleaseendyourcallimmediately.
InsertingandRemovingtheMicroSDmemoryCard
TheMicroSDCardislocatedatthebottomofyourdevice.Itisthelongeroneoutofthetwothatarepresent.
Slidethecoveropengently.
ToinstalltheMicroSDCard,putthemetalcontactsofthecardfacedownandslidethecardintotheslotuntil
itclicksinplace.
ToremovetheMicroSDcard,pressthecardinwardsuntilitclicksandthespringactionwillforceitoutwards.
Note:
NeverinsertanyotherobjectexcepttheMicroSDcardintothecardslot.
DonotpasteanylabelorotherobjectontheMicroSDcardasanyslightchangetothicknessoftheMicroSD
cardmightmaketheinsertionorremovaldifficult,orevenresultinbeingjammed.
BeextremelycarefulnottoscratchtheMicroSDcardorbendthemetalcontactswheninsertingorremoving
thecard.

TheBasics
BasicOperationsofthePhone
Switch‐on&off
PressandholdEndkeytoswitchonthedevice.Oncethedeviceisturnedon,ashortanimationwillplayand
thentakeyoutothehomescreen.
EnteringPIN
IfnopasswordissettoyourphoneoryourSIMcard,yourphonewillsearchforthenetworkautomatically
afterswitchingon.Aftersuccessfulsubscription,thephonewillbeconnectedtothenetworkandyouwillbe
abletostartusingthefunctionsonyourphone.
Ifastartuppasswordhasbeensettoyourphone,youneedtoenterthecorrectpasswordtoproceedupon
eachstartup.Theoriginaldevicepasswordis“1122”.
Youcansetaprotectioncode(PIN)toprotectyourSIMcardagainstunauthorizeduse.AfterthePINisset,you
arerequiredtoenterthePINeachtimewhenyouswitchonyourphone.WhenyouenteryourPIN,eachdigit
appearsas*.Then,pressleftsoftkeytoconfirmyourinput.Afterthephoneisunlocked,thesubscribed
networkandsignalstrengthwillappearonthescreen.
IfyouenterthewrongPINthreetimesconsecutively,theSIMisblocked.Tounblockit,pleasecontactyour
serviceprovider.
IfyoudonotknowthePIN,pleasecontactyourserviceprovider.
Ifthemessage“insertyourSIMcard”appearsonthescreenafterstartup,pressEndkeytoswitchoffthe
deviceandcheckiftheSIMcardhasbeenproperlyinstalled.AlsopleasecheckyourSIMcardforanydamages.
UsingtheHandfree
Whenyouplugintoearphonetotheslot,themobilephoneautomaticallychangestotheHandfreemode.The
earphonescanbeusedasboththereceiverandspeaker.
Switch‐off
Toswitchoffyourphone,pressandholdtheEndkeyinhomescreenmode.Thephonewillbeswitchedoff
afterpayingashortanimation.Neverswitchoffyourphonedirectlybyremovingthebattery.Ifyoudothis,the
datathathasnotbeensavedtotheSIMcardorthephonemaybelostormaycausedamagetoyourSIMcard
orPhone.
Calling
MakingCalls
Youcanmakecallsonlyafteryourphonehasconnectedtothenetworkandyouarewithinnetworkcoverage
area.
Inhomescreenmode,enternumbersthroughthekeypad,andpressDialtomakecalls,orpressleftsoftkey
afterdialingtosavenumbers.
TodialcallsthroughContacts(phonebook)‐Inhomescreenmode,presstheRightSoftKeytoenterthe
Phonebook.Here,youcanscrolltofindyourdesiredcontactandhis/herphonenumberbyQuickSearchor
NameSearch,andpressDialtomakethecall.
DialcallsthroughSMS.IftheSMSyoureceivedcontainsaphonenumber,youcandialthenumbercontained
intheSMSordialthesender’snumber.
IntheInboxmenu,selectandopenyourdesiredSMS,pressleftsoftkeytoenterOptionsmenu,thenpress
UseNumbertoselectthephonenumbercontainedintheSMSorchoosethesender’snumber.Then,press
OptionsagainandchoosetoDialorSavethenumber.
Pressrightsoftkeytodeletethelastdigitofyourinputnumber.Pressandholdrightsoftkeytoclearallinputs.
IfyouactivatetheCallTimeDisplayfunction,acalltimerwillpresentonthescreenafteracallisconnected.

Afteracallisconnected,pressrightsoftkeytoenterhandsfreemode.Inthismode,donotholdthedevice
nearyourearsasexposuretohighvolumemaydamageyourhearing.Pressrightsoftkeyagaintoreturnto
normalmodefromhandsfreemode.
Callscannotbeestablishedpossiblyinthefollowingcases:
“Thelineisbusy”:Thecalledpartyisbusyorthenetworkisbusy.Ifyouhavesetautomaticredialing,the
phonewillredialautomatically.
“Thecallisrejected”:Thecallisblocked,forexample,whencallbarringisactivated.
Ifyouactivateautomaticredialing,thedevicewillredialthenumberautomaticallywhenthecalledpartyis
busyorthecallisnotanswered.
Ifthedialednumberhasbeenstored,nameofthecorrespondingcontactwillpresentonthescreen.
PresstheEndkeytoendacall.Thecalldurationwillpresentonthescreen.
PresstheEndkeytocancelthecalldialedjustnow.
EmergencyCalls
Emergencynumberscannormallybeusedtomakeemergencycalls,withorwithoutaSIMcardinserted,ifa
GSMnetworkiswithinrange.
Differentcountriesorregionshavedifferentemergencynumbers,sotheemergencynumbersinyourphone
arenotalwaysvalidinallregions.Also,emergencynumberssometimescannotbedialedduetonetworks,
environmentsandinterferences.
Thenumber112isastandardGSMemergencynumberandcanbeusedinanyGSMnetworkthroughoutthe
world.
MakingInternationalcalls
Whenyoumakeaninternationalcall,the“+”signreplaces“00”.Youcanpress“*”keytwicequicklytogetthe
“+”sign.
Enterthecountrycode.
Entertheareacodeandphonenumber.
Asusual,omitthedigit“0”beforetheareacodewhendialingthenumber.
Notice:Tomakecallsbetweendifferentareasofsomecountries,operateinthesamemannerasdialing
internationalcalls.
DialingRecentCalls
Thedevicerecordsthephonenumbersofmissed,received,anddialedcallsinthetimesequence.Ifthelistis
full,theoldestphonenumberswillberemoved.
Inhomescreenmode,press“Dial/send”keytodisplayrecentcalls.SelectyourdesirednumberwithUp,Down,
LeftorRightkeys,andpressDialtodirectlydialout.
SpeedDialing
Usenumberkeys2to9topresetdifferentphonenumbers.Inhomescreenmode,pressandholdanumber
keytodialthecorrespondingphonenumber.Ifnophonenumberissetforthenumberkeyyouhavepressed,
themessage‘nonumberspecified’willappear.
Tosetphonenumbersforspeeddialing,goto,Menu>Settings>PhoneSetup>SpeedDialing.
OntheSpeedDialingscreen,youcaneditphonenumbersforspeeddialing,ordeletetheavailablephone
numbersforspeeddialing.
Thenumberkey1mighthavebeenreservedforvoicemailservice.

Thedevicewillalarmforincomingcallsaccordingtoitssettings,forexample,byringing,vibrating,ringingand
