READ the entire installation guide and
precautions before starting.
WASH hands before starting installation.
WEAR gloves before handling lter (do not
remove blister pack).
TURN OFF the water supply valve.
DISCONNECT the supply line from the
machine’s inlet and water valve.
CONNECT a new ex line to the machine’s inlet.
CONNECT the quick connector with bushing to
the other end of ex line.

Clorox® Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Cleaner is
the recomended disinfectant choice.
CONNECT the outlet of machine disinfection unit
to the machine ex line quick connector.
PLACE the inlet hose of unit into disinfectant
(e.g. BLEACH) container.
PLACE a cup under the water dispenser and
keep OPEN the dispenser. This is to vent the
machine and allow for disinfectant to ll.
PULL out syringe plunger to draw the
disinfectant.
PUSH the plunger to deliver the disinfectant and
continue until disinfectant is seen coming out of
the machine’s dispenser.
ALLOW disinfectant to dwell for 5 minutes.
CONNECT a new ex line to the water valve.
CONNECT the quick connector with bushing to
the other end of ex line.
TURN ON the water source to assure there are
no leaks, then turn the water source back off.

contamination.

(1) Medical grade plastics are more susceptible to cracking due to exposure to organic solvents.
Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC), glycols, alcohols, ketones, silicones, and
acetones are some examples of the leading organic solvents found in cleaning and sanitizing
agents. Use of cleaning/sanitizing agents on the lter housings is not required and should be
avoided.

MARK the hole locations of the C-Clips on the
wall.
DO NOT REMOVE the blister pack from the
lter. Tear open the pack ends to expose
connectors as shown in Diagram 1.
CONNECT the lter inlet to the quick connector
of the water valve so the lter ow direction
symbol is pointing away from the water valve.
POINT the lter slightly up so that the water will
ow out in an arc motion.
PLACE a bucket under the outlet side of lter to
catch the water.
TURN ON the water valve.
ALLOW the lter to prime until an even amount
of water ows out of the lter (approximately 3-5
minutes)
TURN OFF the water valve.
DSU Installation Template
ATTACH the DSU Template (provided in
installation kit) vertically against the wall in a
desired position to ensure that both ex lines are
not stretched.

AVOID contact between the lter and cleaning or sanitizing agents.
DO NOT remove blister pack from lter until indicated to protect from
contamination.
While wearing gloves, HOLD the lter by the
transparent portion of the blister pack and tear
away the white backing.
REMOVE blister pack and CLIP the lter to the
C-Clips so the ow symbol on lter is toward the
machine’s inlet.
CONNECT the machine ex line to the outlet of
the lter.
OPEN the water supply valve and allow water to
run through the lter for 3-5 minutes to ush out
the disinfectant and purge air out of the system.
USE residual test strips on running water to
ensure residual disinfectant levels do not exceed
4ppm.
CHECK for any leaks and tighten any ttings if
necessary.
If included, PRESS ON the DSU Cover onto the
lter.
*It is recommended to install the DSU Cover to
shield the lter from the external environment.
