Netac MuStik C310 User manual

Player. The detailsare as the following:
1)Pleaseuninstall“NetacMP3”inyourcomputeratfirst,thendoubleclickthedownloadedfile“setup.exe”,
itwouldinstallnewutilitiesautomatically.
2) Run “Start -> Programs -> Netac MP3 -> Netac MP3 Firmware Download” to update firmware for
MuStikMediaPlayer,click “Start” buttoninthe“Netac MP3 Firmware Download” windowtobegin
update. It would display “Complete”after being finished, click “Close” button, then unplug MuStik
MediaPlayerfrom thecomputertofinish.
3) Youcanalsoclickthecheckboxof“FormatDataArea”in“NetacMP3FirmwareDownload”window,click
“Yes”buttontoconfirminthepop-upwindow.FormatMuStikMediaPlayerwoulddeleteallofdatawhere
savedinMuStik Media Player, pleasebackupdatafirst if necessary!
4) Click “Start” button to begin format. It would display “Complete”after being finished, click “Close”
buttontofinish.

TopoweronMuStikMediaPlayer,pleasehold button,MuStikMediaPlayerwouldenterMUSICmenuautomatically..
To power off MuStik Media Player (except for recording/recording pause status), please hold buttonto
poweroff.Under recording/recordingpausestatus, please savetherecorded files beforepoweroff MuStik
Media Player. When MuStik Media Player is in stop status, it would power off automatically if there is no
operation during the time, which is set in “SET -> Power Set”. (Please refer to “SET” fordetails).
Thisfunctionisusedtopreventthebuttonsfrombeingoperatedaccidentally.Tolockallbuttonspleasesimply
MuStikMediaPlayerincludes the following menus:MUSIC,FM(Onlyfor C310), RECORDER, DEL,SET,
andABOUT.The details would be introduced asthefollowing.
Keystroke operations:
1)Press / buttontoselectmenu.
2)Press buttontoenter.
3)PressBACK/A-Bbuttontoreturntopreviousmenu.
Press / buttontoselectMUSICinmainmenu,press buttontoenter.
aPlay/Pause/Stop:
Press buttonto playatrack.

aRewind/Forward:Hold / buttontorewind/forward the track.
aSelect Track: Press / buttontoselecttrack.

aLyricshows:MuStikMediaPlayerwouldautomaticallysearchthelyricfile(LRCformat,youcanmake
byyourself,downloadfrominternet,etc.).
yCopythetrackandthe lyric file (LRC format) into thesamefolder.
yMakesurethename of the lyric fileisthesameasthe name of the track,otherwisethelyric
can’tbedisplayed.
yLyricwouldbe shownsynchronouslyon thescreenduringplaying.
Press / buttontoselectFMinmainmenu,press buttontoenter.
PressMODE/RECbutton to switch among “FM”, “SEARCH”, “SAVE”, “REC”and “QUIT” under FM menu.
Thedetailsareasthefollowing:
1FM:Press buttontopause/resumethereceivingprogram,youcanalsoswitchchannelbypressing
/ buttonifthereismorethanonechannelsaved,andpressVolume+/-buttontoturnup/downthe
volume.
2SEARCH:MuStikMediaPlayercansavemaximum30channels.
AutomaticSearching:Press buttontostartsearchingautomatically,andthescreenwoulddisplay
“Searching...”.MuStikMediaPlayerwouldsavethesearchedchannelsautomatically,
ManualSearching:Press / buttontosearchchannelahead/backwardsby0.1MHzmanuallyin
receivingstatus.Hold/ buttonby1.0MHz.
3SAVE:Press buttontosavechannelafterautomatic/manualsearching,thescreenwoulddisplay
“StationSaved”.
4REC:Press buttontostartFMrecording,press buttontopause/resumeduringrecording,hold
MuStikMediaPlayercanbeconnectedwith the computer directly through therotatableUSBport.
MuStikMedia PlayerUtilitiesincludesWindows98/98SEdriverandFirmwareDownload tool.Theinstallation
stepsof MuStik Media Player Utilities are as the following:
1) DownloadtheinstallationfilefromNetacwebsite:http://www.netac.com.
2) Doubleclicktheinstallation file “Setup.exe”, the system would install MuStik Media Player Utilities
automatically.
3) Thetoolwouldappearin“Programs”of“Start”inyourcomputerafter being installation.
1) Bootyourcomputer,connectMuStik Media Playerwiththe computer.
2) Thescreenwoulddisplay “READY” topromptthe connection statusafterbeingconnected.
3) Windows98/98SE/Me/2000/XP/Server2003:Doubleclick“MyComputer”,youwouldfindanewicon
named“Removable Disk”,representingMuStikMedia Player.
Mac OS 10.2 or above(MacOS10.3.2 e.g.): A new icon named “NO_NAME”wouldappearonthe
desktopof thecomputer,representingMuStikMedia Player.
Linux 2.4.2 or above:Enterthesystembyuser ID“root” andinputthecommand“mount/dev/sda /mnt”.
Thiscommand is tocreatea directorywhereMuStikMedia Playerwouldbe mounted.
NOTE: “sda” is an unfixed input item, please make relevant changes according to Linux
operating discipline.
4) Thenyoucancopy,delete,or edit data, just as on a traditional harddisk.
Pleaserefertothe following steps to unplug MuStik Media Player after data transferring:
1) Windows98/98SE: ThescreenofMuStik MediaPlayerwould display“READY”when finisheddata
transferring,thenyoucan unplug MuStik Media Player fromUSBportofthecomputer.
2)Windows Me/2000/XP/Server 2003 (Windows 2000 e.g.): Click the icon atthetaskbar,click the
promptmenu“StopUSBMassStorageDevice-Driver”,andclick“OK”buttoninthepop-upwindow“The
‘USBMassStorageDevice’devicecannowbe safelyremoved fromthe system”,thenyoucanunplug
MuStikMediaPlayerfromthecomputersafely.
3) MacOS10.2or above(MacOS10.3.2 e.g.):Selecttheiconrepresenting MuStikMediaPlayer,and
click“File”, select “Exit NO NAME”,then unplug MuStik Media Player from the computer.
TIPS: Drag the icon representing MuStik Media Player into Trash, then unplug MuStik
Media Player from the computer.
4) Linux 2.4.2 or above: Inputthecommand“umount/mnt”beforeunplugging MuStik Media Player,

NOTE: MuStik Media Player would search and save channel(s) automatically when enter
FM menu for the first time. The earphone can be used as antenna, connect it with MuStik
Media Player would make better effect while searching channels.
Press /buttontoselectRECORDERinmainmenu,press buttontoenter.
IntheRECORDERmenu,MuStikMediaPlayerwouldplaytheMICrecordedfilesandMICrecording.The
detailsareasthefollowing.
-MICRecording:HoldMODE/REC button to startMICrecording. You can press buttontopause/
resumeduringrecording, holdMODE/REC button to exitandMuStikMediaPlayerwouldsavethe
recordedfileas“V***.WAV”in“VOICE”folderautomatically.
-Youcanpress buttontoplaybacktherecordedfilesinRECORDERmenu,pleasereferto“MUSIC”
fordetails.
Press /buttontoselectDELinmainmenu,press buttontoenter.
=Press /buttontoselectitemwhichyouwanttodelete.
=Press button to enter sub menu, press / button to select “YES”or “NO”.
=Select“YES”, and press button to confirm, the screen woulddisplay“SUCCESS”.

There are 6 equalizer modes: NORMAL, ROCK, JAZZ, CLASSIC, POP, BASS.
There are 6 play modes: NORMAL, REPEAT ONE, REPEAT ALL, SHUFFLE, SHUF &
REPE, INTRO.
NOTE: Under “INTRO” mode, MuStik Media Player would play the first eight seconds of
eachtrack.
MuStikMediaPlayerwouldstartscreensavingsifthere isnooperationduringthetimewhich
issetas10,20,30, 40, 50 seconds and∞.Youcanpress anybuttontoexit screen savings.
“∞”presents the screen savings wouldn’t started.
