How to set a static IP address with the DHCP Lease
This guide will take you through the steps on how to lease an IP address to a device
on the network. Once the setup is done, the router will automatically assign that IP
address to the specified device whenever it connects to the network.
1. Navigate to http://192.168.1.1 in a web browser.
2. Enter “admin” for both username and password when prompted then click OK.
3. Click on the Advanced Setup menu, select LAN then click the IPv4 Autoconfig option.
4. Click on Add Entries.

5. Type in the MAC address of the unit that you want to lease an IP address to. Use a colon (:)
as a separator for the MAC address. The example uses 00:FF:75:CF:EF:7B
6. Type in the intended IP address that you want to lease. Ensure that it is within the DHCP
range. The example uses 192.168.1.1
7. Click Apply/Save.
8. Reboot the modem by selecting the Management menu and Reboot option then click the
Reboot button.
Note: If the device you want to set a lease on uses both Ethernet and WiFi connections, you
might need to add a lease entry for both the Ethernet network adapter MAC address and
the WiFi network adapter MAC address.
