from the box, the two poles are connected by the interconnection cord as show
below.

OPERATING THE PRODUCT
•Do not be careless with this tool. Lack of attention can cause serious injury.
•Always wear safety goggles when operating this tool.
•Do not use any attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
STARTING AND STOPPING
•Connect the garden tool plug to a power supply.
•Attach the outlet end of an extension cord to the plug on the rear of the garden
tool. Fix the extension cord through the cord retainer (only use an approved
outdoor cord).
•Grasp the telescopic pole with your left hand and the rear handle with your right
hand.
•To start the blade movement, push the lock-off button & then pull the switch
trigger.
•To stop the blade movement, release the switch trigger off.
ADJUSTING THE TELESCOPIC POLE
•Disconnect the garden tool from the power supply.
•Loosen the inner hexagon screw with the hex key, press the locking device down,
push poles towards each other to shorten the pole or pull away from each other to
lengthen the pole.
ADJUSTING THE PIVOTING HEAD
•Disconnect the plug from the power supply.
•Place the hedge trimmer on a sturdy flat surface.
•Push the pivot button and adjust the trimmer head until it snaps securely into
place at one of the four positions indicated by the notches.
ADDING BAR AND CHAIN LUBRICANT
•Please note that this product does not come with lubricant. You will need to
purchase this separately. This product comes from the factory with no oil added.
•Check the oil levels every 20 minutes of use and refill as needed.
•Remove the oil cap and carefully pour the lubricating oil into the tank. Wipe off
excess.
•Check and fill the oil tank when the quick view oil indicator is the below the
second to last indicator line. Repeat as needed.
•Seepage of oil is normal. To prevent this, empty the oil tank after each use and
run for one minute. If storing for long periods, lubricate the chain with oil to
prevent rusting.

PREPERATION FOR CUTTING
•Wear non-slip gloves for maximum grip and protection.
•Maintain a proper grip on the unit whenever the motor is running. Use your right
hand to firmly grip the rear handle while your left hand has a firm grip on the pole
shaft.
•Hold the unit firmly with both hands. Always keep your left hand on the pole shaft
and your right hand on the rear handle so your body is to the left of the chain line.
•Never use a left-handed grip or any stance that places your body or arm across
chain.
•Never stand directly under the branch/limb you are cutting.
•Ensure the collars are fully tightened before operating. This will avoid serious
injury.
BASIC CUTTING PROCEDURE
•Do not use a back-and-forth sawing motion when cutting.
•Make a shallow first cut (1/4 of limb diameter) on the underside of the limb close
to the main limb or trunk.
•Make a second cut from the top side of the limb outboard from the first cut.
Continue the cut through the limb separates from the tree. Be prepared to
balance the weight of the tool when the limb falls. Make a final cut close to the
trunk.
•Let the tool do the work for you. Only apply gentle pressure or you may damage
tool.
LIMBING AND PRUNING
•This unit is designed for trimming small branches and limbs up to 15cm in
diameter.
•Plan the cut carefully and be aware of the direction of which the branch will fall.
•Cut lower branches first to give the top branches more room to fall.
•Work slowly, keeping both hands on the saw with a firm grip. Maintain secure
footing and balance. Do not cut from a ladder. Do not make the flush cut next to
the main limb or trunk until you have cut off the limb further out to reduce the
weight. Following the proper cutting procedures will prevent stripping back the
bark for the main member.
•Do not use the pole chain saw for felling or bucking. To prevent electrocution, do
not operate within 15m of overhead electrical lines. Keep bystanders at least 15m
away.
CUTTING TIPS
•If blades become jammed, stop the motor and unplug before attempting to unjam.
•If desired, you can use a string to help cut your hedge level. Decide how high you
want the hedge, stretch string along the hedge at the desired height and trim the
hedge just above the guideline of the string.

MAINTANENCE
•When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
•Always wear safety goggles with side shields during power tool operation.
•Before inspecting, cleaning, or servicing the unit, stop the motor, wait for all
moving parts to stop, and disconnect from the power supply.
•Avoid using solvents when cleaning the plastic parts as this may damage
them.
CHAIN TENSION
•To avoid serious injury, never touch the chain while the motor is running.
•The saw chain is very sharp, always wear protective gloves when operating.
•Stop the motor and disconnect from power supply before setting chain
tension.
•Turn the chain tensioning screw clockwise to tension the chain.
REPLACING THE BAR AND CHAIN
•Remove the bar nut and drive case cover. The bar contains a bar stud slot
that fits over the bar stud. The bar also contains a chain.
•Place the bar onto the bar stud so that the chain tensioning pin fits into the
chain tensioning pin hole. Fit the chain over the sprocket and into the bar
groove. The cutters on the top of the bar should face toward the bar tip in the
direction of the chain rotation.
•Replace the drive case cover and install the bar nut. Tighten the bar nut
finger tight only. The bar must be free to move for tension adjustment.
•Remove all slack from chain by turning the chain tensioning screw clockwise,
ensuring that the chain sets into the bar groove during tensioning.
•Lift the tip of the bar up to check for sag. Release the tip of the bar and turn
the chain tensioning screw ½ turn clockwise. Repeat this until sag has gone.
•Hold the tip of the bar up and tighten the bar nut securely. The chain is
correctly tensioned when there is no slack on the underside of the bar, the
chain is snug, but it can be turned by hand without binding.
•If the chain is too tight, it will not rotate. Loosen the bar nut slightly and turn
adjusting screw ¼ turn anti-clockwise. Lift the tip of the bar up and retighten
bar nut.

MAINTANENCE
CHAIN OILER
•Only use premium bar and chain lubricant.
•Remove the cap and carefully pour approx. 60ml of lubricant into the bar lube
reservoir.
•Replace the cap and tighten securely. Check and refill the bar lube reservoir every
time the pole chain saw is used.
CHAIN MAINTANENCE
•For smooth and fast cutting, the chain needs to be maintained properly. The
following conditions indicate that the chain requires sharpening: Wood chips are
small and powdery, Chain must be forced through the wood during cutting, chain
cuts to one side.
•During maintenance of the chain, consider the following: Improper filing angle of
the side plate can increase the risk of kickback, Depth gauge setting determines
the height the cutter enters the wood and the sizer of the wood chip that is
removed. Too much clearance increases the potential for kickback, too little
clearance decreases the size of the wood chip thus decreasing the chains cutting
ability.
•If cutter teeth have hit hard objects such as nails or stones or have been abraded
by mud or sand on the wood, have a professional sharpen the chain.
HOW TO SHARPEN THE CUTERS
•Be careful to file all cutters to the specified angles and to the same length as fast
cutting can be obtained only when all cutters are uniform.
•Tighten the chain tension enough that the chain does not wobble. Do all of your
filing at the mid-point of the bar. Wear gloves for protection. Use a 5/32-inch
(4mm) diameter round file and holder. Keep the file level with the top plate of the
tooth. Do not let the file dip or rock, Using light but firm pressure, stroke towards
the front corner of the tooth. Lift the file away from the steel on each return stroke.
Put a few firm strokes on every tooth. File all left hand cutters in one direction then
move to the other side and file the right-hand cutters in the opposite direction.
Occasionally remove filings from the file with a wire brush.

STORAGE
Clean all foreign material from the product. Store the unit indoors in a dry and
well-ventilated area that is inaccessible for children. Always place the
scabbard on the saw bar when transporting or storing the chain. Avoid
touching the teeth.
