any trapped coee between
the burrs does not strain the
adjustment mechanism and
makes adjusng easier. When
adjusng coarser, the above
procedure is unnecessary.
2. Weigh beans in grind cup, be
vigilant and inspect the beans
to ensure no foreign objects,
that could damage the burrs.
This is also the me to remove
any defecve beans such as
quakers (unusually light beans

taste in the cup.

portalter, shake and tap
grind cup, then remove.

from grind cup into chosen
receptacle.

pushing the brush up the chute and twisng the brush. The grind cup can
be cleaned using hot soapy water.
Deep Cleaning
3-6 monthly depending on use, deep cleaning the Niche Zero is advisable.
Remove the lower burr and sweep arms. Do not over ghten the nut on
the top of the lower burr when reng. Hand ght will suce.
A vacuum cleaner is oponal but can be helpful in removing coee you
can't see, use the small nozzle to clean around the chamber (ensure the
springs are removed from the grind adjuster area).
Use a so microbre cloth around a nger to clean the grind dispensing
chute as high as possible.
A so toothbrush worked around the burr grinding surfaces works well.
Use a dampened so microbre cloth to clean the sweep arms and
chamber oor. Clean the adjustment threads with a dry toothbrush and
very lightly lubricate with food safe silicone grease.
Aer deep cleaning, run 18g of coee beans through the Niche Zero and

• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Wipe the motor housing, power cord and lid with a clean damp cloth.

Cleaning the conical burrs
If the Niche Zero is used frequently, the burrs need to be cleaned regularly
for best performance. Cleaning enables the burrs to achieve the nest,
most consistent grinds possible – which is especially important when
grinding coee for espresso. Foreign objects – like pebbles, staples or
twigs – somemes nd their way into whole bean coee. These objects
may cause the Niche Zero to jam. If this happens, follow the burr cleaning
procedure to remove the foreign material. If cleaning with a vacuum
cleaner, please remove springs below outer burr so they do not get lost.
Specialist Cleaning Products
We do not recommend that rice or any other specialist cleaning products
are run through the Niche Zero, as this may damage the burrs. The Niche
Zero is not designed to be cleaned this way.
