• Attaching and Removing the Lens
Attaching the lens
[I) Turn the camera off and remove the camera body cap.
[I] Removetherearlenscap.
[I] Anachthelens.
Keeping the lens mount i ng mark align ed with the mounting
ma rk on the camera body, position the lens in the camera's
bayonet mount and then rotate the lens co unter-clockwise
until itclicks into place withthe
le nsmounting mark at the top.
Be careful not to press the retractable lens barrel bun on while
attaching or removing the l ens

• Zoom and Depth of field
Before focusing, rotate the room ring to adJUSt the focal length and frame
t he photograph. If the camera offers depth-of-field preview (stop down).
depth of field can be previewed in the viewfinder.
Use the zoom ring to zoom in and out Photographs can be taken only
when the focal length sca le is between 18 and 55 mm (F i gure 2).

Changes to zoom can alter the maximum aperture by up to 1Ji EV. The
camera however automatically takes this into account when setting expo-
