120VAC GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This ppli nce must be grounded. If it should electric lly m lfunction, grounding provides p th of le st resist nce for electric current to reduce the risk of electric
shock. This ppli nce is equipped with cord h ving n equipment-grounding conductor nd grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into n ppropri te outlet
th t is properly inst lled nd grounded in ccord nce with ll loc l codes nd ordin nces.
DANGER!
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor c n result in risk of electric shock. Check with qu lified electrici n
or service person if you re in doubt s to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the ppli nce.
If it will not fit the outlet, h ve proper outlet inst lled by qu lified electrici n.
This ppli nce is for use on nomin l 120-volt circuit, nd h s grounding plug th t looks like the plug illustr ted in Figure 1 below. A tempor ry d pter illustr ted
in Figures 2 nd 3 m y be used to connect this plug to 2-pole recept cle s shown in Figure 2 if properly grounded outlet is not v il ble. The tempor ry d pter
should be used only until properly grounded outlet (Figure 1) c n be inst lled by qu lified electrici n. The green-colored rigid e r, t b, or the like extending
from the d pter must be connected to perm nent ground such s properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the d pter is used, it must be held in pl ce
by met l screw. Grounding d pters re not pproved for use in C n d .
Repl ce the plug if the grounding pin is d m ged or broken.
The Green (or Green/Yellow) wire in the cord is the grounding wire. When repl cing plug, this wire must be tt ched to the grounding pin only.
Extension cords connected to this m chine should be 12 g uge, three-wire cords with three-prong plugs nd outlets. DO NOT use extension cords more th n
50 feet (15 m) long.

que se use el d pt dor, h y que sostenerlo en su lug r con un tornillo de met l.

El hilo verde (o verde/ m rillo) del cordón es el hilo de tierr . Cu ndo sustituy el enchufe, este hilo sólo debe ir conect do l p till de tierr .

PARTS AND SERVICE
Rep irs, when required, should be performed by your Authorized Nilfisk-
Adv nce Service Center, who employs f ctory tr ined service personnel, nd
m int ins n inventory of Nilfisk-Adv nce origin l repl cement p rts nd cces-
sories.

Ple se specify the Model nd Seri l Number when discussing your m chine.
NAME PLATE
The Model Number nd Seri l Number of your m chine re shown on the
N mepl te on the m chine. This inform tion is needed when ordering rep ir
p rts for the m chine. Use the sp ce below to note the Model Number nd Seri l
Number of your m chine for future reference.

UNCRATE THE MACHINE
When the m chine is delivered, c refully inspect the shipping c rton nd the
m chine for d m ge. If d m ge is evident, s ve the shipping c rton so th t it c n
be inspected. Cont ct the Nilfisk-Adv nce Customer Service Dep rtment
immedi tely to file freight d m ge cl im.
PREPARATION
Connect 1-1/2” v cuum hose on the h ndle tube nd to the m chine. Connect
solution line to the quick-connect coupling on the v lve nd to the extr cting
m chine.
NOTE: A w ter-type solution line connector is inst lled on the power he d. An
ir-type connector is supplied with the power he d. It m y be necess ry to
ch nge to the ir-type coupling if the solution line used h s n ir-type connector.
Refer to the m chine’s m nu l for prep r tion nd oper tion.
OPERATION
M ke sure ll switches re in the “OFF” position. Plug both m chines into n
ppropri te grounded outlet. Turn extr cting m chines v cuum nd pump “ON”.
Tip the power he d b ck on the wheels nd turn the brush “ON”.
Squeeze the solution trigger to st rt pplying solution on the floor while pulling
the power he d b ckw rds. Overl p cle ning p sses for complete cover ge. To
extr ct more solution, oper te without spr ying.
CLEAN UP AND STORAGE
Store the machine in a cool dry place. Wind the extension cord in
a circle and hang on the cord hook provided on the machine. Be
sure not to wind the cord tighter than necessary.
Avoid prolonged exposure of machine to freezing temperatures
during storage or transporting.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
BEFORE ANY SERVICING, AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY OR
ELECTRIC SHOCK BY DISCONNECTING THE POWER CORD
FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET.
Reduce the build up of chemical residue by running 8 ounces of
vinegar for every gallon of water through the machine once a
week. Be sure the vinegar solution sprays into an appropriate tub
or drain. When finished, run clean water through the machine.
CAUTION!
Do not use vineg r solution on c rpet.

PREPARACIÓN
Conecte un tubo de v cío de 1 1/2” en el tubo de l empuñ dur y en l máquin . Conecte
un tuberí de solución l copl miento de conexión rápid de l válvul y l máquin
de extr cción. NOTA: En el c bez l de liment ción h y inst l do un conector de tuberí
de solución tipo gu . Se incluye un conector tipo ire en el c bez l de liment ción. T l
vez se neces rio c mbi r el copl miento tipo ire si l solución us d tiene un conector
tipo ire. Consulte l sección de prep r ción y oper ción del m nu l de l máquin .
OPERACIÓN

LIMPIEZA Y ALMACENAMIENTO
Gu rde l máquin en un lug r frío y seco. Enrolle el cordón de l rg miento en círculo
y cuelgue el rollo en el g ncho del cordón suministr do con l máquin . Asegúrese de no
enroll r el cordón de form más fuerte que l neces ri . P r impedir que se doblen l s
cerd s del cepillo, gu rde l máquin inclin d h ci trás sobre l s rued s tr ser s.
Evite un exposición prolong d de l máquin temper tur s de congel ción dur nte
el lm cen miento o el tr nsporte.
