ENGLISH PREPARING THE FLOOR
Before each use of this machine, the floor must be clean an completely ry.
Clean the floor with an automatic floor scrubber or a amp mop, using a
solution of water an neutral cleaner.
CAUTION!
This machine shoul be use only on floors that are coate with
a floor finish suitable for burnishing. Contact your local Nilfisk-
A vance Distributor for further information on floor finishing
pro ucts.
PREPARING THE MACHINE FOR USE
WARNING!
Moving parts - To re uce the risk of injury, unplug before
servicing.
A - INSTALLING THE PAD
To install a pa , tip the machine back on it’s han le. Remove the Pa Retainer
“A” (in the center of the pa hol er) by turning clockwise to loosen. Put the
proper size Pa “B” on the Pa Hol er Hub “C”. Re-install the Pa Retainer
“A” by turning counter-clockwise to tighten.

OPERATION
1Unwrap the Power Cor (5) an plug it in to an outlet.
2Unlatch the Operator Han le (6) by pushing forwar on the Han le
Release Latch (4) with your foot. Continue to hol latch (4) while pulling
the han le (6) back. It is normal for the base of the machine to lift off
of the floor slightly when the han le is lowere . It will pull itself own
against the floor as soon as the motor is starte .
3Hol one of the Operator Han Grips (1) firmly, push the Safety Lock
Button (2) an then compress the Switch Levers (3) to start the motor.
NOTE: The Safety Lock Button (2) will not epress unless the
Operator Han le (6) has been release an tilte back into the
operating position. When the ual controlle Switch Levers (3) are
release , the machine shuts off imme iately.
4Push the machine forwar in a straight line, at a slow walking spee .
Overlap each pass about 1-3 inches (25-75 mm).
5When using a polishing pa , check every 15 minutes to see if the pa
is loa e up with wax an irt. If it is, turn the pa over to expose the
clean si e, or install a clean pa .
