Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read through
this manual. Correct maintenance and operation
of this machine will provide the best possible
performance from your Nisbets Essentials product.

Nisbets Essentials prides itself on quality and service,
ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents
are supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit,
please contact your Nisbets Essentials dealer
immediately.
Installation
Note: Ensure the mounting substrate and the
fixings used can support the weight of the
appliance. If in doubt seek professional advice or
assistance.
1. Remove all packaging and protective film from
the Fly Killer.
2. For best results, locate the Fly Killer in the
darkest part of the room, but at least 1 metre
away from food preparation areas.
Note: Close proximity to other
light sources such as sky lights
and windows will reduce the
effectiveness of the Fly Killer.
3. Connect the appliance to mains power.
Operation
WARNING: Under no circumstances
should hands be placed anywhere
near the high voltage grid when the
appliance is operational.
The fly killer works by luring insects on to an
electrified metal grid using ultra-violet light. It uses
no chemicals and is pollution free. To use the Fly
Killer:
1. Press the switch to the ON (I) position. Ensure it
is set to OFF (O) before plugging into mains.
2. The light will come on and the grid will become
electrically charged.
Cleaning, Care &
Maintenance
Always switch off the power and
disconnect the appliance from the
power supply before cleaning.
• Clean the collection tray regularly with warm
soapy water.
• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water. Wipe
the safety guard and external casing with a damp
cloth.
• Change the bulbs every 9 months.
Changing the Bulb
WARNING: Always turn Off the
appliance and disconnect from the
power supply before changing the
bulb.

1. Remove the collection tray.
2. Lay the appliance face down.
3. Unscrew the two screws
holding the safety guard at the
rear of the Fly Killer
[Fig. 1].

4. Lift up the guard rail [Fig. 2]. 2
5. Holding the ends of the bulb,
twist it ‘forwards’ in its socket
until it clicks [Fig. 3].

6. Slide the bulb up out of its
sockets [Fig. 4].
7. Replace with a new bulb.
8. Twist the new bulb ‘backwards’
to lock it back in place.
9. Replace the guard rail and the
two screws.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection
being required they must be readily accessible.

Inleiding
Neem de tijd en lees deze handleiding aandachtig
door. Een correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze
machine waarborgt de beste prestatie van uw
Nisbets Essentials-product.
Verpakkingsinhoud
De verpakking bevat het volgend:
• Elektrische vliegenvanger
• Hangketting
• Handleiding
Nisbets Essentials is trots op de productkwaliteit
en dienstverlening en controleer de inhoud van
de verpakkingen, tijdens de verpakkingsfase, op
functionaliteit en schade. Mocht u product door
transport zijn beschadigd, neem dan onmiddellijk
contact op met uw Nisbets Essentials-dealer.
Installatie
Opmerking: zorg dat de gebruikte montagebasis
en bevestigingen het gewicht van het apparaat
kunnen dragen. Bij twijfel vraag deskundig advies
of ondersteuning.
1. Haal de elektrische vliegenvanger uit de
verpakking en verwijder de beschermingsfolie.
2. Voor de beste resultaten plaatst u de elektrische
vliegenvanger op de donkerste plek van de
kamer, maar altijd op een minimale afstand van 1
meter van bereidingsplaatsen van voedsel.
Opmerking: Dichte nabijheid
van andere lichtbronnen zoals
plafondverlichting en ramen
beperken de efficiëntie van de
elektrische vliegenvanger.
3. Sluit het apparaat aan op de stroomvoorziening.
Bediening
WAARSCHUWING: onder geen
enkele voorwaarde mag men tijdens
gebruik handen in de buurt van het
hoogspanningsrooster plaatsen.
De elektrische vliegenvanger lokt met UV-licht
insecten naar het stroomgeleidende metalen
rooster. Het apparaat gebruikt geen chemicaliën en
is milieuvriendelijk. De elektrische vliegenvanger
gebruiken:
1. Zet de schakelaar op de positie ON (Aan).
2. Het indicatielampje gaat aan en het rooster
wordt elektrisch geladen.
Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
Alvorens het apparaat te reinigen
dient men het apparaat en de
stroomvoorziening uit te schakelen.
• Reinig de opvangbak regelmatig met warm
zeepwater.
• Dit apparaat NIET in water dompelen. Maak de
beschermkap en de buitenkant van de behuizing
met een vochtige doek schoon.
• Lampen om de 9 maanden vervangen.
Lamp vervangen
WAARSCHUWING: Alvorens de
lamp te vervangen dient men altijd
de schakelaar op Off (Uit) te zetten
en de stroomvoorziening uit te
schakelen.

1. Verwijder de opvanglade.
2. Leg het apparaat neer met de
voorzijde naar beneden.
3. Draai de twee
bevestigingsschroeven van
de beschermkap aan de
achterzijde van de elektrische
vliegenvanger los [fig. 1].

4. Til de geleidingsrail op [fig. 2].

5. Houd de uiteinden van de lamp
vast en draai de lamp ‘vooruit’
in de contacten totdat de lamp
klikt [fig. 3].

6. Schuif de lamp naar boven uit
de contacten [fig. 4].
7. Plaats een nieuwe lamp.
8. Draai de nieuwe lamp naar
‘achteren’ om deze in te
contacten te vergrendelen.
9. Plaats de geleidingsrail
opnieuw en schroef de twee
schroeven vast.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de stekker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Raadpleeg bij twijfel een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling moeten de
isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

Nisbets Essentials attache une grande importance à
la qualité et au service et veille à fournir des produits
en parfait état opérationnel, parfaitement intacts
au moment de l’emballage. Nous vous prions de
contacter votre revendeur Nisbets Essentials
immédiatement si vous constatez un dommage
quelconque survenu pendant le transport du produit.
Installation
Remarque : Assurez-vous que le support de
fixation et les fixations utilisés sont assez solides
pour soutenir le poids de l’appareil. En cas de
doute, faites-vous conseiller ou aider par un
professionnel.
1. Retirez l’emballage et la pellicule de protection
du désinsectiseur électrique.
2. Pour des résultats optimaux, installez le
désinsectiseur dans la partie la plus sombre de
la pièce, mais à au moins un mètre des zones de
préparation des aliments.
Remarque : une installation du
désinsectiseur trop près d’autres
sources de lumière, tels que lucarnes
ou fenêtres, en réduirait l’efficacité.
3. Branchez l’appareil à la prise d’alimentation
secteur.
Utilisation
AVERTISSEMENT : N’approchez
jamais les mains de la grille à haute
tension du désinsectiseur électrique
en service.
Le désinsectiseur fonctionne en attirant les insectes
vers une grille métallique électrifiée, à l’aide d’un
rayon de lumière ultraviolette. Il n’utilise aucun
produit chimique et ne pollue pas. Pour le mettre en
service :
1. Mettez l’interrupteur sur la position ON (marche).
2. La lumière s’allume et la grille s’électrifie.
Nettoyage, entretien et
maintenance
N’oubliez jamais d’éteindre l’appareil
et d’en débrancher le cordon
d’alimentation avant de le nettoyer.
• Nettoyez régulièrement le bac de récupération à
l’eau tiède savonneuse.
• NE PAS immerger l’appareil. Essuyez la
protection et le boîtier extérieur à l’aide d’un
chiffon humide.
• Changez les ampoules tous les neuf mois.
Pour remplacer l’ampoule
AVERTISSEMENT : N’oubliez
jamais d’éteindre l’appareil et d’en
débrancher le cordon d’alimentation
avant de changer les ampoules.

1. Retirez le bac de récupération.
2. Couchez l’appareil, face en bas.
3. Dévissez les deux vis de
retenue de la protection
situées à l’arrière du
désinsectiseur [Fig. 1].

5. Tenez les extrémités de
l’ampoule et faites la pivoter «
vers l’avant » dans les douilles,
jusqu’au déclic

neuve « vers l’arrière « pour
l’enclencher.
9. Remontez la glissière de
protection et les deux vis.

Raccordement électrique
La prise doit être reliée à la prise secteur qui convient.
Cet appareil est câblé comme suit :
• Fil conducteur (brun) à la borne marquée L
• Fil neutre (bleu) à la borne marquée N
• Fil de terre (vert / jaune) à la borne marquée E
Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre.

Montage
Hinweis: Darauf achten, dass die Fläche und
Schrauben, an denen das Gerät befestigt werden
soll, das Gewicht des Geräts tragen können. Im
Zweifelsfall fragen Sie bitte einen Fachmann.
1. Die gesamte Verpackung und den Schutzfilm
vom Fliegenkiller entfernen.
2. Die besten Ergebnisse erzielen Sie, wenn Sie
den Fliegenkiller in der dunkelsten Ecke des
Zimmers aufstellen oder -hängen. Er muss sich
aber mindestens 1 Meter von Bereichen zur
Speisenzubereitung entfernt befinden.
Hinweis: Die Nähe zu anderen
Lichtquellen wie Dachluken
und Fenstern vermindert die
Wirksamkeit des Fliegenkillers.
3. Das Gerät an den Netzstrom anschließen.
Betrieb
VORSICHT: Wenn das Gerät
betriebsbereit ist, unter keinen
Umständen Hände in die Nähe des
Hochspannungsgitters halten.
Der Fliegenkiller lockt Insekten mithilfe von
ultraviolettem Lichtin auf ein unter Strom stehendes
Metallgitter. Das Gerät verwendet keine Chemikalien
und verschmutzt nicht die Umwelt. Einsatz des
Fliegenkillers:
1. Den Schalter in die Position EIN bewegen.
2. Die Anzeige leuchtet auf, und das Netz wird
elektrisch aufgeladen.
Reinigung, Pflege und
Wartung
Vor der Reinigung stets zunächst
das Gerät abschalten und den
Netzstecker ziehen.
• Die Auffangschale regelmäßig mit einer warmen
Seifenlösung reinigen.
• Gerät NICHT in Wasser eintauchen. Die
Schutzvorrichtung und das Gehäuse außen mit
einem feuchten Tuch abwischen.
• Die Glühbirnen alle 9 Monate auswechseln.

VORSICHT: Vor Auswechseln der
Glühbirne stets zunächst das Gerät
abschalten und den Netzstecker
ziehen.

Elektroanschlüsse

dell’imballaggio tutti i componenti forniti sono
integralmente funzionanti e privi di difetti.
Nel caso siano rilevati danni risultanti dal trasporto
del prodotto, rivolgersi immediatamente al
rivenditore Nisbets Essentials locale.
Montagfio
Nota: assicurarsi che il supporto di
montaggio e i dispositivi di fissaggio
utilizzati siano in grado di sostenere
il peso dell’apparecchio. In caso
di dubbio, rivolgersi a un tecnico
qualificato.
1. Rimuovere l’imballaggio e la pellicola protettiva
dalla lampada insetticida.
2. Per ottenere i migliori risultati, installare la
lampada insetticida nell’area meno illuminata
dell’ambiente ma a una distanza di almeno 1
metro dalle aree di preparazione dei cibi.
Nota: la vicinanza ad altre sorgenti di
luce quali lucernari e finestre riduce
l’efficacia della lampada insetticida.
3. Collegare l’apparecchio all’alimentazione di rete.
Funzionamento
ATTENZIONE: quando l’apparecchio
è in funzione, non avvicinare in
nessuna circostanza le mani alla
griglia ad alta tensione.
La lampada insetticida attira gli insetti a una griglia
in metallo elettrificata utilizzando luce ultravioletta.
Non utilizza elementi chimici ed è priva di elementi
inquinanti. Per utilizzare la lampada insetticida:
1. Premere l’interruttore sulla posizione ON.
2. La spia si accende e la griglia si carica
elettricamente.
Pulizia e manutenzione
Prima di eseguire la pulizia,
spegnere l’apparecchio e scollegarlo
dall’alimentazione.
• Pulire periodicamente il cassetto di raccolta
utilizzando acqua calda saponata.
• NON immergere l’apparecchio in acqua. Pulire
la protezione di sicurezza e la superficie esterna
utilizzando un panno inumidito.
• Sostituire la lampada ogni 9 mesi.
Sostituzione della lampada
ATTENZIONE: prima di cambiare
la lampada, spegnere sempre
l’apparecchio e scollegarlo
dall’alimentazione.
