DISCOVER THE NIGHT
Thank you for choosing the MiNewt Pro 750 from NiteRider, the
innovator in technical lighting systems. The MiNewt Pro 750
combines a high-powered white LED headlamp and a Li-Ion
Battery.
To get the most from your NiteRider light, we urge you to
familiarize yourself with the following safety and operating
instructions.
RIDING AT NIGHT
While a MiNewt Pro 750 lighting system will improve your view,
control and enjoyment of night riding, please remember that
cycling at night is an inherently dangerous activity. In addition
to using your lighting system properly and riding with extreme
caution, NiteRider urges you to:
• Never ride alone.
• Always let someone know where you are going.
• Wear a helmet and reective clothing.
• Carry an auxiliary light and emergency supplies.
• Make sure the headlamp, mounting bracket and Li-Ion
battery are securely fastened.
• Always disconnect the battery from the headlamp when
transporting the light system.
MOUNTING THE HEADLAMP ON A HANDLEBAR
Depending on the size of your bike’s handlebars, use one of the
three “O-Ring” style mounting straps to attach the headlamp/
handlebar mount assembly. Follow the steps below:
1. To keep the overall height of the
MiNewt Pro Headlamp down, the
headlamp and mount are very
close to each other.
2. To install the mounting strap, loosen the
handlebar mount screw and rotate the
mount to expose the front slot.
3. Place the desired mounting strap
into the front slot making sure the
tab is pointed in the correct direction.
4. Before tightening the handlebar
mount screw, place the headlamp/mounting
assembly onto the handlebar and aim the
light. Once the headlamp is aimed,
securely tighten the handlebar mount
securely tighten.
5. Place the headlamp/mounting
assembly on the handlebar.
Pull/stretch the mounting strap under
the handlebar, towards the back and
loop it over and into the back slot.
6. Once properly mounted, the headlamp
should feel secure and not slip around
the handlebar.
MOUNTING THE HEADLAMP ON A HELMET
1. Unclamp the straps on each side of the helmet mount
and pull them free.
2. Position the plastic mounting plate
as close to the centerline of the
helmet as possible, orienting the
parallel grooves on the slider clip to
the rear.
3. Feed each strap into and out of two
helmet vents, circling each strap
back to the upper edge of the
corresponding clamp.
4. Fasten the straps by inserting them into the clamps.
INSTALLING SLIDER
Before using the MiNewt Pro in the helmet mount, you must rst
remove the handlebar mount and install the provided slider.
Remove the Phillips screw
that holds the handlebar mount
onto the back of the headlamp.
Be careful not to lose the
at and lock washer. Place
the slider onto the headlamp
and thread the Phillips screw
with the two washers into the
headlamp. Make sure the slider
is centered, then securely
tighten the Phillips screw.
INSERTING THE HEADLAMP INTO THE HELMET MOUNT
Insert the headlamp into the handlebar or helmet
mount slider clip from the rear
forward. Gently rocking the
lamp as you slide it may help.
Do not push the release lever
when inserting the headlamp
into the slider clip; let the lamp
snap into place by itself.
To remove the headlamp, push
the release lever and slide the
lamp backward.
Note: After mounting the
headlamp, adjust it so the
beam illuminates the road properly without distracting oncoming
riders.
OPERATION
1. Connect the headlamp cord to the Power Module.
2. Press and release the headlamp power button to turn the
light on. Cycle through the three brightness levels by
pressing and releasing the power button.
3. To access the daylight visible ash mode, and walk mode,
press and hold the power button until the headlamp starts
to ash.
4. With the headlamp in ash mode, press and release the power
button to access walk mode. From walk mode you can
power normal mode by pressing & releasing the power button.
5. To turn the headlamp off from normal, ash or walk modes,
