Why does my phone occasionally stop charging before it
reaches 100%?
Charging protection is enabled during low or high temperatures –this is to ensure the battery
performs optimally and safely. To continue charging at normal speeds, please move your phone
to a room-temperature environment.
How do I hard reset my smartphone and completely restore
it to the original factory settings?
Please note: a hard reset will completely erase all the data, settings and content on your
smartphone, returning it to the original factory settings. We strongly advise that you back up
your device before a hard reset. Visit here to learn more about how to back up your smartphone
remotely.
To reset your smartphone and erase all its content, first make sure your phone is connected to a
power source. We also recommend that your battery is at least 50% charged when you perform a
hard reset.
Press the volume up key and the power button simultaneously for about 30 seconds or until the
root menu appears. Then choose the action you want to take from the root menu, in this case
“Wipe data/factory reset”.
Alternatively, you can also perform a hard reset by tapping Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory
data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything.
How can I close an app that has stopped working?
Open Settings on your phone and select Apps. Then find the app you're having issues with and
select Force Stop.
My phone won’t charge. What should I do?
First ensure the issue isn't with the power source or socket you're using - you can quickly check
this by plugging your phone into a different outlet, then checking if it charges. If the socket is not
the issue, try taking a closer look at the power cable or charging port on your phone, ensuring
everything appears as it should. Then, try turning your phone off completely and plugging it into
the socket - bear in mind if the battery is completely drained, it might take up to 2 or 3 minutes to
start charging.
Where can I find the IMEI number for my phone?
Open Settings on your phone, choose About Phone, then select Status and choose IMEI
Information.
How are software updates delivered to my Nokia
smartphone?
Google’s Security Patches are released monthly and depend on the hardware in your phone.
As these releases have specific hardware dependencies, we will need to ensure your phone is
fully supported before we can test and release those to the operator. Once the quality has been
assured, the Security Patch will be delivered to your phone. Due to this, the Security Patches are
dependent upon your device model, operator and also your location.
As the Security Patches are designed to enhance security, we advise all our customers to install
them as soon as convenient.
Where can I get support for my Lumia smartphone?
There are two main resources that provide support for Lumia phones. For general support and
information, you can visit Microsoft Mobile devices help page. For troubleshooting and repair
queries, you can visit B2X and search for your Lumia model.
Why does my phone feel warm when it's charging or when
I'm using it?
It is normal for the phone to become warm sometimes during charging or when the phone is
being used extensively (multiple apps are in use, long videos, gaming etc.). Please contact
support if the problem persists, particularly if it happens outside the kind of use mentioned
above.
How do I reboot my smartphone when it’s not responding?
If your phone is unresponsive, you can perform a “soft reset” by pressing the volume up key and
the power button simultaneously for about 15 seconds (or until phone vibrates). Your phone
should then restart momentarily. This is a safe and quick way to reboot your device without
losing or erasing any data.
Will my Nokia smartphone receive security updates?
In addition to OS updates, your device will also receive regular security patches.
I recently updated my Nokia 3 and am now having some
issues with the Camera. How can I resolve this?
Some Nokia 3 users have been experiencing issues with the Camera application after recently
updating their phone. If this has affected you, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
1. Tap Settings
2. Select Storage
3. Tap the top right-hand corner of the screen to reveal the Migrate Data option, then select
Migrate Data.
4. Tap Move
5. Wait a few moments while the data transfer processes
When the process completes, you should be able to open and activate your Camera like normal.
Why can’t I turn off the camera shutter sound?
We need to make sure we always comply with local laws and regulations. The legislation in
some countries requires the camera sound not to be turned off. This is to prevent any privacy
violations (such as pictures being taken of people without their consent).
If your software is up-to-date and you still can't turn off the camera sound, this is likely due to
the privacy regulations in your country.
Can I remove the back cover or battery from my Nokia 3?
The back cover on the Nokia 3 is non-removable. Furthermore, the Nokia 3 has an internal non-
removable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery, as you may damage the

3. Tap either Use as Portable Storage or Use as Internal Storage
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
If you are unsure whether to choose Portable or Internal Storage, please read below for more

How do I move apps to an SD card?
If you set up your SD card as Internal Storage, you can move some apps to the card. This leaves
more space for apps that can't be moved to the card.
Please note: not all apps can be moved to an SD card.
1. Go to Settings > Device > Apps
2. Choose the app you want to move to your SD card
3. Tap Storage
4. Under Storage Used, tap Change.
5. Pick your SD card
How do I remove an SD card from my phone?
Before removing the SD card from the phone, it is highly recommended that you unmount the
SD card first. This is covered in the following steps. Removing the card without unmounting it
can result in data loss.
1. Go to Settings > Device > Storage
2. Press Eject to unmount the SD card
3. You can now remove the SD card from the phone
Please note that if any of your apps have used the SD card to store data, these apps may not work
correctly when the card has been unmounted.
Updating the system through OTA seems to fail. What
should I do?
The time it takes for the OTA update to complete depends on the size of the update. It is best to
run the update when you have good signal strength.
1. Run the update
2. The phone will restart and the screen will only display a window for some time
If there is no change on the screen for several minutes:
3. Press the volume-up and power keys together and hold for 10 seconds - this will force the
phone to restart
4. When the phone has rebooted, head to Settings > About phone > Software Update and try
to install the update again
Please contact customer service if the problem persists
There isn’t enough free space to install an update. What can
I do?
Clear the app’s data
If the OTA update is for a specific app, then clearing the data for that app can resolve the issue.
However, please note that any data saved in the app will be erased.
To clear an app’s data, head to Settings > Apps (or Application Manager, depending on your
device). From here, tap the app you are experiencing problems with, then choose to clear data.
If you continue to experience the same problem after clearing the app’s data, you may need to
contact the app’s developer.
Uninstall the app
If you continue to have issues after clearing the app’s data, you can try uninstalling the app.
Please bear in mind that all data stored in the app will be erased. To uninstall an app, touch and
hold the app you want to uninstall. Then, drag the app to Uninstall displayed at the top of the
screen.
If you don’t see Uninstall, then the app is likely a system app that can't be uninstalled.
