Any productof which the coversareremoved mustbehandled withESD
protection. TheSIMcard can bereplaced withoutESD protectionifthe

Toreplacethe coversESD protectionmustbeapplied.

Keep the phoneand all itspartsandaccessories outof thereach of small children.
Keep the phone dry. Precipitation, humidity andall typesofliquidsor moisturecan
contain minerals thatwillcorrodeelectroniccircuits.
Donotuse or storethe phone in dusty, dirtyareas. Itsmoving partscanbedamaged.
Donotstorethe phone inhotareas.Hightemperatures can shorten the lifeof
electronic devices, damagebatteries, and warp or meltcertainplastics.
Donotstorethe phone in cold areas. When itwarms up (toitsnormal temperature),
moisturecan forminside, whichmay damageelectronic circuitboards.
Donotdrop,knockor shakethe phone.Roughhandling can breakinternalcircuit

Use only the suppliedor anapprovedreplacementantenna. Unauthorised antennas,

Note:A newbattery"sfull performance is achieved onlyafter twoorthree completecharge
anddischargecycles!The batterycanbechargedand discharged hundredsof times butitwill
eventuallywearout.
Whenthe operatingtime (talk-time and standby time)is noticeably shorter than normal, itis
time tobuy anewbattery.Use only batteries approvedbythe phonemanufacturerand
rechargethe batteryonlywiththe chargersapprovedbythe manufacturer.
Unplugthe charger when notin use. Do not leave the batteryconnectedto achargerfor
longer than aweek,sinceoverchargingmayshorten itslifetime.
If leftunusedafully charged batterywill dischargeitselfovertime Temperatureextremes can
affectthe abilityofyourbatteryto charge.
For goodoperationtimes withNi-Cd/NiMh batteries, dischargethe batteryfromtime totime
byleavingthe productswitchedonuntil itturnsitselfoff(orbyusingthe batterydischarge
facilityofany approvedaccessoryavailable forthe product).
Donotattemptto dischargethe batterybyany othermeans Use the batteryonly for its
intendedpurpose.
Neveruse any charger orbatterywhich is damaged.
Donotshort-circuitthe battery. Accidental short-circuitingcan occurwhen ametallic object
(coin, clip or pen)causesdirectconnectionof the +and-terminals ofthe battery(metal strips
onthe battery)for example when youcarryasparebatteryin yourpocketorpurse. Short-
circuitingthe terminals may damagethe batteryor the connectingobject.
Leaving the batteryin hotor coldplaces, such as inaclosedcarin summer orwinter
conditions, willreduce the capacityandlifetime ofthe battery. Always tryto keepthe battery
between 15°C and25°C (59°Fand 77°F).
Aphonewithahotorcold batterymay temporarily notwork,even when the batteryis fully
charged.Batteries"performance is particularly limited in temperatures well belowfreezing.
Donotdispose batteries inafire!Dispose of batteries accordingtolocal regulations (e.g.
recycling).
Donotdispose as householdwaste.
