Front-facing Camera: Video chat with your friends
on multiple platforms using the Skype app and
front-facing camera.
Audio Connector: Listen to music with a Nokia Purity
HD Stereo Headset by Monster (sold separately).
Volume Control Keys: Press to increase or decrease
the ring volume, and tap the system tone icon to
switch between vibrate or ring + vibrate. During a call,
press to adjust the earpiece volume. When playing a
song, press to control the playback volume.
Power Key: Long press for ve seconds to power on or
o. Short press to lock and unlock the screen.
Camera Key: Press and hold to activate the camera
when the phone is locked. Press to take a picture.
Search: Press to open Quick Search.
Speaker: Play music, listen to a call on speakerphone,
and hear clear audio for videos.
Micro USB Port: Connect to a computer to transfer
les, or charge the phone with a Nokia Charging and
Data Cable (included inbox).
Start: Press to return to the Start screen. Long press
to activate voice recognition.

Back: Press to return to the previous screen and leave
the app running the background. Press and hold to
open the visual multi-tasker.
Live Tiles: Get the latest updates at a glance. From the
Start screen, swipe downward to view more Live Tiles.
To resize a tile, tap and hold a tile to edit. Tap to
make it bigger or smaller.
Status Bar: Tap the top of the screen downward to view
your connection, battery life, time, and other alerts.
Nokia Shell: Remove the shell to reveal the battery,
microSD card slot, and SIM holder.

GET STARTED
THIS IS
LUMIA.
Remove the colourful shell and insert your micro SIM
card to begin using your Nokia Lumia 620.
1. Ensure the phone is turned o to prevent damage
to the micro SIM card.
2. At the top corner of the phone, put your ngernail
in the seam between the frame of the screen and
the back cover. Then, place your thumb near the
centre of the shell.
3. Pull the shell towards you until the side seams
open slightly.
4. Repeat on the other corner and pull back the shell
to remove it.
5. Lift out the battery from the bottom of the phone
to remove it.
6. Push the micro SIM into the card slot until it locks
into place. Ensure the contact area is face down.
7. Line up the battery contacts and reinsert the battery.
8. Press the back of the shell until it snaps into place.

Sign in with a Microsoft account to access your email,
contacts, and calendar. You can also connect to the
Windows Phone Store, Microsoft SkyDrive, Xbox LIVE,
and Xbox®Music.*
1. Turn on the phone and tap get started.
2. Choose a language and tap next.
3. Read the terms of service and tap
accept > recommended.
4. Select your time zone and tap next.
5. Tap create one.
6. Enter your Microsoft account and tap next.
7. Enter your password, retype it, and tap next.
8. Enter a primary email address and tap next.
9. Tap continue to create a Nokia account.
10.Tap accept > I don’t have a Nokia account.
11.Enter your email and password and tap sign in.

Quickly transfer contacts from your Nokia S60, Blackberry,
iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone device. Turn on
Bluetooth connectivity on your old phone to get started.
1. From the App list, tap Transfer My Data.
2. Tap Continue.
3. Swipe right across the screen to activate
Bluetooth connectivity.
4. Tap the name of your old phone.
5. Verify the matching PIN on both phones and tap ok.
6. Tap Continue to transfer contacts.
7. Tap Done to access your People Hub.

Turn heads with shells for your Nokia Lumia 620. Choose
a colour that matches your style and personality.
1. At the top corner of the phone, put your ngernail
in the seam between the frame of the screen and
the shell. Then, place your thumb near the centre
of the shell.
2. Pull the shell towards you until the side seams
open slightly.
3. Repeat on the other corner and pull back the shell
to remove it.
4. Grab another shell, and press the bottom edge of
the shell against the bottom edge of the phone.
5. Press the back of the shell until it snaps into place.

Pin your favourite apps to the Start screen for one-touch
access. Customize your screen with an arrangement of
small, medium, or large tile sizes. You can even choose
from 20 dierent theme colours.
1. From the Start screen, tap and hold the smallest tile.
2. Tap to make the tile larger.
3. Drag and drop the tile to a new area on the screen.
4. Tap a large tile and tap to make the tile smaller.
5. Tap the tile again to exit edit mode.
6. To change the colour of the tiles, from the Start
screen, swipe left to access the App list.
7. Tap settings.
8. Tap theme.
9. Tap Accent colour and select a colour.

Launch the Smart Shoot lens and take multiple pictures of
the same pose with one click. Choose the funniest faces
for each person to create a hilarious group shot. You can
even delete objects that appear in the background and
ruin your picture.
1. Step outside to take a group shot where you will
also see cars or people moving in the background.
2. Press the Camera Key.
3. Press .
4. Tap Smart Shoot.
5. Ask the group to make funny faces as the camera
shoots, and then press the Camera Key to take
ve photos.
6. Scroll up and down on the display to view your photos.
7. Tap to insert your favourite face from one
photo to another.

Bring your photos to life by capturing animations in
small areas. Save the coolest images and share them on
your social networks.
1. Press the Camera Key.
2. Press .
3. Tap Cinemagraph.
4. Take a photo of something that is moving
(i.e. someone tapping a nger or picking up a
phone). The lens automatically highlights the
animated area, or you can select the area(s)
you want to animate.
5. Tap to see a preview of the animation.
6. Tap . The photo saves to the Cinemagraph
album in the Photos Hub.

Create a life-like panoramic with superior colour and detail.
Follow the on-screen instructions to take multiple photos
and easily combine them into a single, perfect photo.
1. Press the Camera Key.
2. Press .
3. Tap Panorama.
4. Tap the screen to take the rst photo.
5. To take the next photo, move your phone to follow
the line on screen and align the target in the middle
of the white circle. The photo snaps automatically.
6. Continue to follow the arrow on screen to take up
to four more photos.
7. When you nish, wait for the photos to compile.
Your panorama displays.

TECHNoLoGY
Sharing content has never been easier! NFC technology
lets you pair compatible devices with just one tap. Tap
two compatible devices together to share pictures,
websites, contacts, les, and more. You can also tap to
pair to speakers to your phone.
1. Ensure Bluetooth connectivity is turned on for
both devices.
2. To send a photo, tap .
3. Tap share.
4. Tap Tap + Send.
5. Tap the back of your phone to the back of
another device.
6. On the other device, tap accept. Transfer begins.

See a real-time view of your neighborhood with icons
pointing out restaurants, shops, and other cool points of
interest. The icons are organized by the places closest to
your location. The larger the icon, the closer it is to you.
1. From the App list, tap Nokia City Lens.
2. Hold the phone like you are taking a photo to see a
live view of your area with icons overlaid on points
of interest.
3. Pan the area to see more choices. If you see a
+ sign, tap it to reveal more places.
4. Tap the name of a place to read reviews,
descriptions, and destination information from
Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet.
5. Tap get directions to view walking directions.

Find your way door-to-door by any means: walking,
trains, buses, subways, and more. Enter your
destination and see upcoming departure times.
You can even use Journey Planner to nd route
options and gure out which stop is closest to you.
1. From the App list, tap Nokia Transit.
2. Tap journey planner.
3. In the To: eld, start typing your destination
and select a result from the drop-down menu.
4. Swipe left across the screen to see upcoming
departure times, and tap a route to see
journey details.
5. Swipe through the screens to see journey
details including transfer time, lines, and exact
arrival time.
6. Tap to get walking directions from your
current location to your departure station.

Simply select your destination, see speed limit

Your Nokia Lumia 620 is more than just a phone — it’s also
a music and video player. To enjoy all the benets of Xbox
Music, go to www.xbox.com on your computer to create an
account or sign in using your Microsoft account. In addition
to purchasing songs right from your phone, you can also
transfer your music collection from your computer.
1. To transfer your music collection from your
computer to Nokia Lumia 620, connect the phone
to the computer using a Nokia Charging and Data
Cable (included inbox). Windows Phone displays as a
computer drive.
2. On your computer, click Windows Phone > Phone >
Music and drag and drop your songs to the
music folder.
3. On your phone, from the Start screen, tap
Music+Videos.
4. Tap music to play the songs you just transferred.
XBoX®MUSIC
Use Xbox®SmartGlassTM to play songs
from your phone on your Xbox.

Turn your Nokia Lumia 620 into a second screen that brilliantly
interacts with your Xbox 360®. Xbox SmartGlass is a free app
that enables communication between devices to enhance
your favourite TV shows, movies, music, sports, and games.
1. Download Xbox SmartGlass from Store.
2. After it downloads, launch the app from the Games
hub or the Music+Videos hub.
3. Swipe left to access and play your favourite games,
search using bing, watch your favourite movies,
listen to music, or watch sports.
4. To watch a movie, swipe right and tap Xbox Video Store.
5. Tap a movie.
6. Tap the application you want to use to watch the
movie (like Xbox Music+Videos), and tap ok.
7. Use your Nokia Lumia 620 to control the Xbox and
control movie playback.

TIP

2. View your collection. To download additional games
from Store, tap get more games.
3. Tap Best rated.
4. Tap a game and tap install. Once the game
downloads, it displays under Collection.

Know what’s happening as it happens on Facebook,
Twitter, and LinkedIn, and get one-touch access to your
social networks from the Start screen. Skim the latest
posts and pictures from your friends, update your status,
see who’s writing on your wall, and change your prole
photo from the Me tile.
1. To set up People Hub, from the Start screen, tap
People
.
2. Tap set up account.
3. Tap Facebook.
4. Enter your email address and password,
and then tap sign in.
5. After your account syncs, swipe to the “what’s
new” screen to see what your friends are doing.
6. To create a group, swipe to the “together”
screen and tap .
7. Tap Group, enter the name of the group, and tap .
8. Tap to add a contact to the group.
9. To access names quickly, tap and tap a
letter to jump to that section.
10.Tap a name to add that person to the group.
11. When you nish adding contacts, tap .

After you download and sign in to Skype, your contacts
automatically add to your People Hub. Skype integrates
with your phone so you can switch between a Skype call
and a mobile call. Plus, Skype is always on so you’ll see
all your messages and get call notications even when
your phone is locked.
1. From the App list, tap Store.
2. Tap .
3. Enter “Skype” and select a result from the
drop-down menu.
4. Tap install.
5. After Skype downloads, tap Skype.
6. Tap accept.
7. Enter your Skype account information, and tap
sign in.
8. From the People Hub, select a contact with a Skype
account, and tap their Skype name.
9. Tap the Skype video icon to start video chatting
with the contact.
10. Tap the screen during a Skype-to-Skype call to bring
up the call bar to additional access Skype settings.
SkYPE
Family Room lets you create Rooms for the dierent
groups in your life. Invite anyone to a Room—family,
friends, or colleagues—and have a place where the entire
group can chat and sync calendars, pictures, and notes.
1. From the Start screen, tap People .
2. Swipe to the together screen and tap Family Room.
3. Tap .
4. Tap +.
5. Tap a contact’s name.
6. Tap send to invite the contact to the Room via text
message. After the contact you selected accepts
the invitation, his or her name appears in the room.

Update a note and everyone in the Room sees
the most recent version. From the notes screen,
tap Groceries. Enter a few items to the Grocery
list, and check o what you already have. To sync
the note, tap , and then tap sync.

Multi-tasking
Press and hold to switch between running apps
without going to the Start screen.
Mobile or Desktop View
To change the view of Internet Explorer 10 Mobile, from
the browser, tap > settings > mobile version >
desktop version.
Hidden SSID
To connect to a Wi-Fi network with a hidden SSID, from
the App list, tap Settings > Wi-Fi > advanced > and
enter the network name.
Change the theme
From the App list, tap Settings > theme and select a
colour to change the colour of the theme.
Change the time out settings
and lock code
From the App list, tap Settings > lock screen and
change the time out settings or lock code.

Change the keyboard language
From the App list, tap Settings > keyboard and select a
dierent language for the keyboard.
Set an image as a lock screen
After you take a picture, tap > set as lock screen.
Adjust the image to your liking, and then tap .

To search for info hands-free, press and then tap .
Say the item you want to nd and select the search result.
Find my Phone
To nd, lock, and erase the contents of your lost phone,
or to restore it to factory settings, go to
www.windowsphone.live.com.
Take a picture when the phone is locked
Press and hold the Camera Key when the phone is locked.
Press the Camera Key again to take the picture.
