Insert the (U)SIM card and battery
(U)SIM card is an enhanced version of the SIM card and is su orted
by UMTS mobile hones.
Kee all SIM cards out of the reach of small children.
Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before
removing the battery.
For availability and information on using SIM card services,
contact your SIM card vendor. This may be the service rovider
or other vendor.
 With the back of the device facing you, ress the release button
(1), slide the cover (2), and lift it u .
 Insert the (U)SIM card into the slot. Ensure that the bevelled
corner on the card is inserted first, and that the contact area
on the card is facing down.
 Insert the battery. Ensure that the contacts on the to of the
battery are facing the connectors on the device.
 To re lace the back cover, osition the cover onto the device,
and slide the cover until it clicks into lace.

Switch the device on
 Press and hold
 If the device asks for a (U)PIN code or lock code, enter the
code (dis layed as ****), and ress the left selection key.
The (U)PIN code is usually su lied with the (U)SIM card.
The factory setting for the lock code is 12345. For more
information on the access codes, see Security in the
user guide.
Your device has internal antennas.
Note:
As with any radio transmitting device, avoid touching
an antenna unnecessarily when the antenna is in use.
For exam le, avoid touching the cellular antenna
during a hone call. Contact with a transmitting or
receiving antenna affects the quality of the radio
communication, may cause the device to o erate at
a higher ower level than otherwise needed, and may
reduce the battery life.

Charge the battery
 Connect a com atible charger to a wall outlet.
 Connect the ower cord to the device. The device can
be used while charging. If the battery is com letely
discharged, it may take a while before the charging
indicator starts scrolling.
 When the battery is fully charged, the charging
indicator sto s scrolling. Disconnect the charger from
the device, then from the wall outlet.
You can also use the Nokia Charger Ada ter CA-44 to
charge the battery with older com atible Nokia charger

Key ad lock (keyguard)
 To lock the key ad in the fold o en mode, ress the left selection key, then .

MMS and mobile Internet settings
Your Nokia device normally has MMS, GPRS, streaming, and
mobile Internet settings automatically configured in the device,
based on your service rovider information.
Dis lays
 Remove any rotective lastic films covering the dis lays.
 A small number of missing, discoloured, or bright dots may
a ear on the screen. This is a characteristic of this ty e of
dis lay. Some dis lays may contain ixels or dots that
remain on or off. This is normal, not a fault.
 The images in this guide may differ from your device dis lay.

Record video
 To start recording video, o en the fold to 90 degrees, hold the
device sideways, and turn the fold down so that the main dis lay
faces you.
 If the camera is in the still image mode, use the camera mode
key to switch to the video mode.
 Press the ca ture key to start recording. Press it again to sto .
 The video cli is automatically saved to I ages & video in Gallery.
 To zoom in or out of the subject, rotate the zoom key around the
ca ture key.
 Use the Active Palette to adjust the video setting such as shooting
mode, white balance, and colour tone.

View images and videos on TV
To view the ca tured video cli s and images on a com atible
TV, use a com atible Nokia Video-out Cable CA-64U. See TV
out mode and TV configuration in the user guide.
To view images and videos on a com atible TV, do the following:
 Connect the com atible video-out cable to the video in ut
of a com atible TV.
 Connect the other end of the video-out cable to the
Po - Port connector of your device.
 Press , and select Gallery > I ages & video and choose
the file you want to view.
The images can be layed in slideshow mode, and the videos
are layed in RealPlayer.

Online sharing
With Online sharing, you can share your images and videos on com atible online albums, weblogs, or other online
sharing services on the web. You can u load content, save unfinished osts as drafts and continue later, and view the
content of the albums. The su orted content ty es may vary de ending on the service rovider.
To use Online sharing, you must subscribe to the service with an online image sharing service rovider. You can
usually subscribe to the service on the web age of the service rovider. Contact your service rovider for details on
subscribing to the service. For more information on com atible service roviders, see
www.nokia-asia.co /N93i/support.
When you o en the service for the first time in Online sharing, you are rom ted to rovide a username and assword.
To set u your Flickr account, go to www.flickr.co /nokia
To set u your VOX account, go to www.vox.co /nokia
After you have gotten your username and assword, add them in your gallery a lication with the following ste s:
Options > Open Online Service > Create new Flickr account
The availability of this service may vary according to your country or sales area.

Adobe Premier Elements 3.0
With the Adobe Premier Elements software included inbox, you can add
effects and edit videos taken with the Nokia N93i. Then burn them into
a DVD and share them with your loved ones.
In order to install this software, you will need the serial number that
