SAFETY WARNINGS
1) Keep the battery charger away from
rain or moisture. Penetration of water
in the battery charger increases the
risk of an electric shock.
2) Only charge Nova Gear lithium ion
batteries or batteries installed in Nova
Gear products with the voltages listed
in the technical data. Otherwise there
is danger of fire and explosion.
3) Keep the battery charger clean.
Contamination can lead to danger of
an electric shock.
4) Before each use, check the
battery charger, cable and plug. If
damage is detected, do not use
the battery charger. Never open
the battery charger yourself. Have
repairs performed only by a qualified
technician and only using original
spare parts. Damaged battery
chargers, cables and plugs increase
the risk of an electric shock.
5) Do not operate the battery charger
on easily inflammable surfaces (e.g.
paper, textiles, etc.) or surroundings.
The heating of the battery charger
during the charging process can pose
a fire hazard.

are informed about the associated

OPERATION
b) When the red light is on, insert the
battery into the charging compartment.
c) Battery is fully charged when the red
and green light are solid. Charging time
is approximately 30 minutes.
d) Charge the battery at least once a
month to prolong the life of the battery.
EXTENDING BATTERY LIFE
a) Charge the battery at least once a
month, even if you have not used it in
order to increase the lifetime.
b) Remove the battery from your tool
after each use and before storing to
increase its life.
The charging procedure starts as soon
as the mains plug of the battery charger
is plugged into the socket outlet and
the battery is inserted into the charging

charging method, the charging condition
of the battery is automatically detected
and the battery is charged with the
optimum charging current, depending
on battery temperature and voltage.
When the battery is not inserted,
continuous red lighting of the battery

operation.
NOTE: The rapid-charging procedure
is only possible when the battery
temperature is within the allowable
charging temperature range.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
a) To charge the battery, plug the charger
into the socket outlet.
NOTE: Observe the mains voltage!
The voltage of the power supply
must correspond with the data
given on the nameplate of the
battery charger.
Battery chargers marked with 230 V
can also be operated with 220 V.

WARRANTY
The NG-61 Charger comes with a 3
year manufacturers warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that
cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major
failure and for compensation for any
other reasonably foreseeable loss or
damage. You are also entitled to have
the goods repaired or replaced if the
goods fail to be of acceptable quality
and the failure does not amount to a
major failure.
Separate to the above Australia
Consumer Law, Spot-on offers a global
warranty.
The warranty period commences on
the date of purchase, which can be
verified on your receipt or invoice. We
cannot offer a warranty for damages
and defects on appliances or their
parts caused by improper use or
treatment. Damage caused by failure
to comply with the operating manual
will be excluded from the warranty.
In the event that an unauthorised
persons has modified the appliance,
the warranty will be rendered void.
Damages that are caused by improper
handling are excluded from the
guarantee.
