When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
• To disconnect, grasp plug and unplug cord from electrical outlet.
• To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug,ormotor base in water
or any other liquids.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Never leave appliance unattended when in use.
• Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
• Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands and utensils out of sippy cup or bowl while
blending to prevent personal injury or damage to the blender.
• The blade is sharp. Handle with care.
• To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on base without sippy cup or
bowl properly attached.
• Do not attempt to bypass the interlock system that powers the unit on.
• Do not blend hot liquids in the blender.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after theappliance malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Discontinue use and call the NUK®Customer Service
Center for further instruction.
• Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes; this appliance is for household useonly.
• Always operate on a flat surface.
• Unplug the blender when not in use, before taking off or putting on parts, and before cleaning.
• Use this appliance for its intended use as described in this manual. The use of attachments not
made by the manufacturer, including canning or ordinary jar and processing assembly parts, is
not recommended by NUK USA LLC and may cause a risk to persons.

Please follow the instructions below to ensure the safe use of the power cord.

You may use an extension cord, if necessary, but be certain to follow theseguidelines:
– The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least 120/127Volt, 60 Hz, 10A.
–
The extension must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop, will not be
within the reach of children, and will not be trippedover.
– Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cord.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a quali-
fied electrician to install the proper outlet.
Do not attempt to modify this plug or defeat this safety feature in any way.

To Make Smoothies

1. Place the NUK®Smoothie & Baby Food
Maker sippy cup on a flat surface with the
open end facing up. Fill the sippy cup with
your child’s favorite ingredients. Be sure not
to fill ingredients past the 10 oz marking.
2. Fasten the blade assembly on the open end
of the sippy cup. Turn the sippy cup upside
down, line up arrows on the blade assembly
to the arrows on the base, and place the
sippy cup in the base. With one simple touch,
blending begins by pressing the sippy cup
down in the base.
To lock the sippy cup in the base for hands-
free operation, simply turn the sippy cup
clockwise in the base in the direction of
which means ON. Blending will stop once
you either stop pressing the sippy cup into
the base, or once you unlock by turning in the
direction of which means OFF and remove
the sippy cup from the base.

3. Turn the sippy cup over and place on a flat
surface. Replace the blade assembly with the
sippy cup lid and straw. Let your child enjoy
the smoothie immediately or take on the go.
4. The sippy cup is spill resistant when
closed. For taking smoothies on the go,
turn the top of the sippy cup lid clockwise
until the smoothie straw folds down into
the lid. To enjoy the smoothie, turn the lid
counterclockwise until the smoothie straw
pops up out of the lid.
TIP: After your child has consumed the
blended beverage, wash out the sippy cup
and straw and reuse it throughout the day for
water or other cold liquids.
CARE: Wash before first use. Disassemble
before cleaning. Wash with hot water and
mild detergent, then rinse clean. Dishwasher-
safe (top rack). Allow to dry before storage.
CAUTION: Always supervise children when
eating/drinking. To avoid injury, do not allow
a child to walk or run with a cup. Do not
microwave.
WARNING: To prevent possible choking
hazard, check straw for damage before each
use by pulling on the straw. Discontinue use
if straw becomes torn or cracked. Prolonged
periods of time drinking liquids, other than
water, may cause tooth decay.
NOTE: Sippy cup intended for children 18+ months.
