The i2Wireless Nursecall system has been specifically
designed for quick and easy installation by anyone.
One call point and one pager is all it takes to create
an i2wireless nursecall system. The equipment is
ready to install and your nursecall system can be
operational in a matter of minutes.
Its simplicity does not however compromise the
functionality or the flexibility of the system. The
wireless system can be extended to comprise of
displays, call logging, door alarm monitors, pear
push leads and other accessories.
A unique feature to this Nursecall is that each
Call Point is intelligent and sends a call directly
to Displays and Pagers. By employing distributed
intelligence there is no need for a Central Control
Unit. It provides sta with essential information,
alerting them to every resident or sta call with its
location and urgency.
For example, “R:005 CALL 01Mins” or “R:011 SENSOR
03Mins”.
Once activated the Call Point will repeat the call
until it is cancelled. This means that a nurse call
alarm cannot be ignored and has to be reset in the
room it has been activated. If a Call Point is active
for six minutes it will automatically escalate to
an Assist alarm. The Call Point will also send the
amount of minutes it has been active as part of the
alarm message.
The Visit function when used in conjunction
with the Call Logger, will help conform to CQC
guidelines in response times and night checks.
There are two Call Point variants, the CPWPC with
the addition of a Pull Cord and the CPWPP which
has two auxiliary inputs for a Pear Push and other
devices such as Floor Sensor Mats, Bed and Chair
sensors, Epileptic Monitors, Motion sensors or
any other sensor that has a stereo or Mono jack
plug. Adaptors are available to connect existing
accessories.
The call points are powered by a small self-
contained AA/AAA battery pack. Available to buy
from Nursecall Shop.

Installation Fitting and removing the battery
Care should be taken when removing and fitting
the battery pack. When removing the battery pull
the plug from the socket. Do not pull the wires to

Standard Calls
To trigger a standard call, the user presses the
orange button on a call point or operates the
remote button of a pear push lead. This causes the
call point’s re-assurance LED to pulse slowly
Reset
To reset a call point, a member of sta presses the
green reset button. The re-assurance LED will stop
pulsing.
Assistance Calls
If assistance is required by a member of sta (but it
is not an emergency), pressing the orange button
on the call point whilst it is in Standard Call will
initiate an Assistance Call. This causes the call
points re-assurance LED to pulse more urgently
than when a Standard Call is made. If the call point
is not active and assistance is required, pressing the
orange button twice will initiate an assistance call.
Emergency Calls
In an emergency press and hold the orange button
until the call point stops beeping and the red LED
stops being lit. This makes an Emergency Call
regardless of the previous state of the call point.
This causes the call point’s re-assurance LED to
flash rapidly, more than Standard and Assistance
Calls.
Pear Push Lead Pull Out Function &
Call Level
By pulling out a pear push lead or plugging one
into the call point, a Standard Call is automatically
initiated for safety. This active call needs to be
reset. The pear push lead can be plugged into one
of two sockets on the bottom of the call point. The
Le socket generates a Standard Call and the right
socket generates an Assistance Call.
Once the call point is activated a paging message is
sent to the pagers and displays.
Sensors - example Floor Sensor Mats
The right hand socket on the call point is used to
plug in Sensors such as pressure mats. When the
pressure mat is activated the call point will generate
an Assistance Call onto the system.
The right hand socket on the call point is used to plug
in Sensors such as pressure mats. When the pressure
mat is activated the call point will generate an
Assistance Call onto the system. Any accessory can
be plugged into the aux socket and it can be either
mono or stereo 6.35mm.
Repeat Call and Escalate
The call point will resend a message every minute
until it is reset. From the first repeat onwards the
message will contain how long the call point has
been active for example:
“R:005 CALL 01Mins” or “R:011 SENSOR 03Mins”.
If a ‘standard call’ remains unanswered it will
automatically escalate to an ‘assist call’ aer six
