1. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The +SMART device is an advanced control unit that com-
bines PLC IEC 61131-3 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connection.
The +SMART device can be used for all ODE’s solenoid valve,
equipped coil with EN 175301-803
(Ex DIN43650/A) electrical connection and power supply
24V DC .
Thanks of multi-channel I/O it is possible to connect to
various type of sensor and actuator.
For further technical information please refer to “User’s
Guide” and “Datasheet”.
2. USB CONNECTION
The +SMART device is equipped with USB connection port
with which is possible to connect a PC for programming
through CODESYS, please refer to “User’s Guide” for addi-
tional information.
Mounting sequence for the access to USB connection
• unscrew the central screw and remove it;
• unscrew the four screw at the side of cover;
• remove the cover;
• connect a common data USB cable with Micro-B
connector;
• For programming the device must to be powered
end wait until BOOT step is finished;
• switch OFF the power before removing USB connection.
2. LED INDICATORS
Green LED | indicates the presence of CPU power
supply.
Red LED | indicates operative state of CPU, during
BOOT step LED blink tow time at second, when it’s
completed LED will blink one time at second.
RGB LED | LED is customizable with CODESYS accor-
ding to customer’s needs.
3. CONNECTIONS
Make all electrical connection with device not powered.
• Connect the +SMART device to the coil like a
common solenoid valve connector EN 175301-803
(Ex DIN43650/A);
• be sure that gasket is between coil and device;
• then fasten the central screw on rear side of connec-
tor until the screw is blocked.
• multipolar connect the cable as per wiring diagram (fig.1).
When whole connections are finished it is possible to power
ON the supply.
If one or more connections are not used, the free cables
must to be isolated with specific device.
5. FORZCED RESTART
To restar the +SMART device power OFF the supply for at
least 5 seconds. During restart the device will redo BOOT step.
