5Align the Smart-Lock to the spindle adapter.
Insert and tighten one phillips-head screw into the
top-left hole in the Smart-Lock.
Insert and tighten one phillips-head screw into the
bottom-right hole in the Smart-Lock.
Align and insert the adapter to
the magnetic hole in the rear of
the Smart-Lock.

Thumb turn
should be
vertical
Use the Smart-Lock metal thumb-turn
to lock and unlock the deadbolt.
Ensure the deadbolt moves freely
and engages completely into the
door frame.
Note: Test your metal key in the
outside key cylinder.
Refer to the Existing
Deadbolt section at
the top of the page.
Select the door
sensor that
corresponds to your
door.

Insert the door
sensor into the
correct side of the
Smart-Lock.
Insert Sensor Kit
screw to stabalize
the door sensor in
the Smart-Lock.
Note: Installation
continues on back.
Remove the
adhesive cover from
the back of the
Sensor Magnet.
Apply the Sensor
Magnet to the outer
edge of the
doorframe next to
the Smart-Lock.
Take a picture or write down
the 17-character serial number
on the sticker in the battery
compartment. This will be used
to register your lock online.
Install the four AAA batteries.
An orange light will appear for
eight seconds to indicate
power up.

Use the T-10 (Torx)
screwdriver to press
the button for 6 sec.
in order to configure
the Smart-Lock.
The lock will cycle
through a series of
movements. The light
will blink orange.
To test the door sensor, open and close
the door. Each time the door is opened
the light on the Smart-Lock should flash
The installation
process is complete.
You are now ready to
register your
Smart-Lock online.
Choose the cover color
that matches your
existing hardware.
If you have installed the
sensor, you will need to
use the punch-out on
the appropriate side of
the cover so the cover
fits over the sensor.
Replace the Smart-Lock
cover.

Insert and tighten the
T-10 (Torx) screw from
the bottom of the
Smart-Lock cover.
Note: This screw is not
mandatory, but it
protects against
undesired access to
the inside of the lock.
A green light will flash three times to
indicate successful alignment.
This aligns your lock to the correct
direction of locking and unlocking the
deadbolt. If unsuccessful, try again.
After a 5 sec. pause, the Smart-lock is ready
to test.
The + button will unlock the Smart-Lock with
a green light.
The – button will lock the Smart-Lock with a
red light.
