Sim Insertion
The EasyFlip uses a nano sized SIM to connect
to the mobile network. This is the smallest size
SIM card and is 8.8 mm X 12.3 mm. Prior to SIM
insertion, Olitech strongly advise that users
review the SIM insertion instructions in the
EasyFlip User Manual V2 (pages 10 –15) and/or
the instructional videos the Olitech website (see
page 16). Please obtain assistance to insert the
SIM if you deem necessary.
Powering on/off
To power the EasyFlip on, press and hold the red
“end call” key for 3-4 seconds.
The start-up process takes approximately 30-40
seconds. To power off, reboot or put the phone
into airplane mode, press the red end call key for

3-4 seconds, use the navigation key to highlight
your desired action and press the yellow key to
select.
Icon view (including Shortcut keys)
Icon view allows the main menu to be displayed
as either one icon per page or six icons per page.
The default icon view is one icon per page.
To change the icon view:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Icon view
3. Select your preference
If one icon per page is selected, Menu is
accessed by pressing the top left key or the
yellow select key; Contacts can be accessed by
pressing the top right key (back arrow key).
There are also four additional shortcut keys
linked to the navigation key arrows that can be
customised and used if one icon per page is
selected. As default, these shortcut keys are off.
The three fixed shortcut keys above the number
1-3 keys remain functional.

To activate and program the shortcut keys:
1. Open Menu (if in one icon mode)
2. Scroll to and select Settings
3. Select Phone settings
4. Select Shortcut keys
5. Select On
6. Scroll through and select preference for each
arrow (options include phonebook, call logs,
music, camera, settings, SOS (setting), alarm,
file manager, gallery, calculator, shortcut key).
Screen and keypad backlight settings
The primary screen and keypad backlight can be
customised within the phones Display settings.
To customise the backlight timeing:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Phone settings
3. Scroll to and select Display
4. Scroll to and select Sleep/Keypad backlight
5. Select your preference
Note: if Always is selected for keypad backlight,
the keypad light will remain on when the
EasyFlip is flipped open.

Save contacts to phonebook
1. Select Phonebook/Contacts
2. Select Add new contact
3. Edit name and phone number (required) and
add photo, voice recording and individual
ringtone (optional).
4. Select Save
Photo/speed dial
Eight quick dial phone numbers can be
programmed to the EasyFlip. These numbers
can then be dialled either through the photo dial
list or via speed dial (pressing and holding the
associated number key for 3 seconds).
Photo/speed dial numbers are programmed
through Photo dial. The speed dial number that
will be associated with that contact will be
displayed in the top left corner of the photo dial
screen.
Programming photo/speed dial
1. Press the Photo dial key OR scroll to and
select Photo dial

2. Select Options
3. Select Edit to manually enter details (name,
phone number, photo, name recording and
ringtone) OR Import from phonebook to add
a saved contact
4. Select Save
Ringtone
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Audio settings
3. Select Tones and volume
4. Scroll to and select Phone ringtone
5. Scroll through ringtone list and select desired
ringtone (to select ringtone press the yellow
key)
Answer mode
The EasyFlip answer modes include Flip answer
and Loudspeaker. Multiple answer modes can
be active at one time. I.e. if flip answer and
loudspeaker are both active, the phone will
automatically answer with audio directed to the
loudspeaker when the phone is flipped open.

Activating the loudspeaker answer mode will
also direct outgoing calls to loudspeaker when
they are initiated. Audio can be switched from
loudspeaker to the standard speaker during a
call by pressing the direct access loudspeaker
key (key above the number 1 key).
To modify the answer modes:
1. Open Menu (if in one icon mode)
2. Scroll to and select Settings
3. Select Phone settings
4. Scroll to and select Answer mode
5. Select On/Off for Flip answer/Loudspeaker
Voice output: Activate talking keypad
When talking keypad is activated, the number
keys voice out their number (eg “two”) when
dialling a phone number. To modify this setting:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Audio Settings
3. Select Talking Key (when talking keys is
selected status will change from On to Off)

Voice output: Activate talkback
When Talkback is active, text present on screen
and the action of keys is voiced out. Incoming
text messages and incoming caller’s details are
also voiced out. To activate/deactivate this
setting:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Phone Settings
3. Select Accessibility
4. Select Talkback
5. Select Off/On
6. Scroll to and select OK
Amplify handset volume
The volume of the handset can be boosted to up
to 25db by pressing the Amplify receiver
volume key (key above number 2) during a call.
Once pressed during a call, a red ear icon will
appear along the top of the screen; the amplify
receiver volume will remain on for incoming/
outgoing calls until it is turned off.

To use this function please ensure the Amplify
receiver volume key is On in the phones
settings:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Audio settings
3. Select Amplify receiver volume so that ”On”
is present
Silent mode
When in the main menu the phone can be
changed to silent mode by pressing and
holding the hash (#) key for three seconds.
Loudspeaker
To activate/deactivate loudspeaker during a call,
press the direct access loudspeaker key (key
above number 1). If the preference is for calls to
go to loudspeaker automatically, this can be set
up in the phones “Answer mode” setting (see
page 7).

Volume key/torch key status
To eliminate the chance that the volume settings
and/or torch may be activated when holding the
phone, the volume and torch keys can be
activated/deactivated within the phones settings.
If the volume keys are deactivated, the
loudspeaker and earpiece volume boost can still
be activated/deactivated using their dedicated
keys. To change the status of these keys:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Audio settings
3. Scroll to Volume key status and press the
yellow key to turn On/Off
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Phone settings
3. Scroll to Torch key status and press the
yellow key to turn On/Off
Modify SMS font size
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Message settings
3. Select General

4. Select Message font size
5. Scroll to and select desired message font
size. This font size will be displayed when
message threads are open (not in primary
inbox).
Deactivate SMS/MMS popup notification
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Message settings
3. Select Notifications
4. Select Popup notification (to tick/untick box)
Emergency Key Setup
1. Scroll to and select Safety
2. Select SOS
3. Ensure Enable is ticked
4. Select Emergency contacts and add
numbers (up to five numbers can be added; it
is recommended that at least one number is a
mobile number)
5. If you would like a local alarm to sound when
emergency key activated ensure Warning
tone is ticked.

6. If you would a text message sent when
emergency key activated ensure Send
message is ticked.
7. If you would like a google link containing the
phones location sent when emergency key
activated ensure Send location is ticked.
8. To edit the emergency text message select
Emergency message, edit message and
select OK.

(pages 30-34) for additional details regarding
the emergency key setup.
Low battery notification
1. Scroll to and select Safety
2. Select Low battery notification
3. Select status to On (this will enable notified
contacts and notification SMS to be edited)
4. Select Notified contacts and add numbers
(up to three mobile numbers can be added)
5. To edit the notification SMS select
Notification SMS, edit message and select
OK.

Menu visibility
Menu visibility allows the following menu items
to be shown/hidden: message, call logs, photo
dial, phonebook, camera, multimedia, safety,
organiser and App. If “Message” is hidden, the
direct access message key will become non-
functional.
To show/hide menu items:
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Menu visibility
3. Select menu items to show/hide
Voice memo
1. Scroll to and select Organiser
2. Select Voice memos
3. Edit details
4. Select Save
Save items to calendar
1. Scroll to and select Organiser
2. Select Calendar

3. Select date you want to save an event to
4. Select Options
5. Select Add event
6. Edit details
7. Select Save
Use camera & view images
1. Scroll to and select Camera
2. Photos can be taken using the yellow “select”
key
3. The flash, timer, front/rear camera, gallery
access or picture size settings can be found
in Options
4. Gallery can also be accessed from the main
menu
Complete factory reset
1. Scroll to and select Settings
2. Select Phone settings
3. Select System
4. Select Reset options
5. Select Erase all data (factory reset)
6. Scroll to and select Reset phone

Manual navigation mode
If the star key is pressed for 2+ seconds, the
phone goes into manual navigation mode (not
recommended). When in manual navigation
mode, a small black arrow/mouse icon appears
on screen and the navigation keys do not
function as per normal. To exit this mode press
the star key for 2-3 seconds.
