l. Plug the AC adaptor @ into an AC outlet, and con-
nect the AC adaptor cord to the DC 9V jack of the
main unit @.
2. Insert the plug for the Hand Controller @ into the
HAND MIC jack at the rear of the main unit @.
3. Press
the POWER button @ to turn the unit ON.
4. Press
theEJECT button @ to openthe Microcassette
compartment @. Insert a Microcassette
by sliding it
into the holder with the open side of the cassette
Please Note:
a)Press
the POWER button O to turn the unit OFF,
when the main unit is not in use.
b)Attach theHand Controller Rack
@ to either
theright
or left sideof the unit whicheveris most convenient
facing out. Gently press
the cassette

the buttons and switches
on themain unit (except

POWER and TEL REC buttons). Should you wish
to usethe bunons on the main unit only, move the
Dictation Control Selector
@ to the .STOP' position,
or disconnect
the Hand Controller.

the EJECT button @ to removethe tape.

TAPE SPEED switch @.
7.Setthe SPEED control knob @ at the center
position
for standardspeed.With this knob, fine adjustment
of the tape speedwithin the range between -1590
and + 3090is possible.
8.Adjust the TONE to your preference

9.Adjust the VOLUME to a suitable level@.
10.Rewind the tape by pressing
REW button @.

2. Operation with the Foot Switch
'STOP'; the tape backspacesbetween

of listening time. If back spaceis not required, set
the knob to '0'.
3.Pressthe LISTEN pedal to start the tape.
4.Pressingthe FF or REW pedal fast forwards or revrinds
the tape.
4.To rewind the tapq move the Dictation Control
Selector
@ to the 'REW' position and keepholding
the switch. Releasingthe SelectionSwitch returns it
to the 'LISTEN' position.
5.During pressing
the FF button @ changesto fast for-
ward mode.

SW jack @ on the main unit.
2. The rewind time for the tape can be adjusted for 0
to I secondby using the Back Space
Controller @
on the main unit. Everytime the tapestops,the auto
back space
function operates.When using the Foot
Switch to change the mode from 'LISTEN' to
Pleasc No!e:
The 'LISTEN' mode remainswhen both the LISTEN and FF or REW pedalsare depressedsimultaneously.

l. When trying to operate
the main unit without a tape
inserted.

safety lugs removed.

of Accidental
Erasure
I .Toavoidaccidentalerasure,
breakand rerrovethe safery
lug on the Microcassette
by pushing it inward with a
ball-point pen or any other hard pointed object.
2. Without the lug, rhe ERASE bunon @ cannot be
activated.
3. If you wish to record on a microcassctte
with the
safetylug removed,coverthe hole with plastic tape.
