ONASPORT USER MANUAL

1) What’s in the box?
The ONASPORT physiological monitor includes 3 different parts:
The electronic device
The single-use cartridge for the analysis of physiological
iiiiiiiparameters through sweat.
The strap and pulsometer

First remove the sensor protector, and then slide the cartridge over the
electronics module as shown in the picture below. The cartridge must
remain attached to the device to ensure the isolation of the sensors’
electrical connections from external factors.
The skin area where the adhesive will be placed should be cleaned with
water and dried properly. This ensures that other substances such as
body creams do not alter the composition of the sweat.
Next, moisten the electrodes located on the side of the strap and attach
one end of the strap to the electronic module. If the electrodes do not
contact the skin properly, or if they are not moistened, the heart rate
measurements may not be accurate.
2) How to wear it
The device should be worn directly on the skin, just below the sternum.
It must fit snugly enough to remain stable during activity. It is important
to find a flat skin surface to ensure a good fixation of the adhesive.

It is time to put on the device. Wrap the heart rate monitor strap around
your chest and connect the other end of the strap to the device. Make
sure the Onalabs logo is facing up. It can be moved laterally just below
the chest to find a flat surface to place the adhesive on.
It should be noted that, if the strap is placed too low (outside the area
highlighted in the image below), inaccurate measurements of both sweat
and heart rate parameters may occur.
At this point the skin adhesive protector should be removed from the
cartridge and adhered to the skin. If you cannot ensure adherence over
the sternum, try to place the device under the pectoral muscle.
We recommend avoiding areas with a high density of hair, as this may
prevent the adhesive from adhering properly.
Finally, ONASPORT is ready to start monitoring your physiological
parameters.

Remove the battery and reinsert it, or
Change the battery
If possible, try to be 10 meters away from other wireless
sensors during the pairing.
If the device does not appear in the App:
ONASPORT APP recognizes all the devices that are active and
in range. Each time you use the App you must select the
device you want to pair.
3) Pairing and setup
Pair the device with a Smartphone or Tablet via Bluetooth with the
ONASPORT App:
6
To be considered
Open the ONASPORT App and click on the icon to start a new
activity. Fill in the requested information and then click on
continue.
The device must be within 3 meters of the Smartphone or
Tablet to be connected.
In the list of the devices available in the APP, select the
ONASPORT physiological monitor that you are going to use for
training. Move to the next screen to complete the link.

4) Physiological data, metrics, and
iiiiiivisualization
Each time ONASPORT is used, the following physiological parameters
are being monitored:
7
Heart rate (pulse and ECG)
Dehydration status
Electrolyte loss
Blood lactate levels
The device will send the data to your ONASPORT App account as long
as the monitor is active and connected to your smartphone and/or
tablet. You can view the data in real time through the ONASPORT App.
Once the activity is finished, a summary is displayed with: duration of
the activity, sweat loss and electrolyte loss (in grams, calculated with
reference to the sodium ion).
Moreover, the temporal evolution of heart rate, dehydration and lactate
levels of the activity are also available for training analysis and future
planning.
At the end of the exercise, the cartridge must be removed and
discarded as waste. The cartridge cannot be reused, as sweat has
already entered the fluidic system and the stickers to attach it to the
skin and the electronic module are intended for single use only.
The heart rate strap can be hand-washed for future use, as specified in
the "Device care" section.

5) Troubleshooting
Erratic heart rate data
8
If the heart rate data is erratic or does not appear, you can follow the
recommendations below:
Rem oisten the electrodes.
Tightly fit the device cartridge to
the skin
Warm up for 5 to 10 minutes
Follow device care instructions
(below).
Move away from sources that may
interfere with the device
Device care
Accumulation of sweat and salt to the strap can permanently damage the heart
rate monitor and decrease its ability to provide accurate data. Excessive use of
detergent when washing the heart rate monitor strap can also damage it.
Wash the strap with the electrodes after each use
Hand wash the device after 7 uses
Use warm water and a drop of mild detergent
Rinse well to remove all traces of detergent.
Do not use washing machine or dryer

Sources of interference may include strong electromagnetic fields, some 2.4
GHz wireless sensors, high-voltage power lines, electric motors, ovens,
microwave ovens, 2.4 GHz cordless phones and wireless LAN access points.

Single-use cartridge and erratic data on measurement through
sweat
9
To ensure proper functioning of the single-use cartridge, the following tips
should be followed:
The connectors of the sweat sensors must be in good condition and must
not be trapped inside the housing. Otherwise, the device will not be able to
read the physiological parameters properly.
In any case, a cartridge that has already been used does not have to be
used again. Not even with the same person. Sweat has already entered the
system, and could lead to false measurements of the new activity.
Once the cartridge has been inserted and during mating, the device will
check if the cartridge has been inserted correctly, or if it is a new one. In
these cases, the device will warn you.
If, during an activity, the consumable loses contact with the skin,
measurements beyond this point may be considered non-conclusive.
6) Battery replacement
Clean and dry the device before removing the battery cover.
Rotate the battery cover counter-clockwise to open it.
Replace the battery with a new one, making sure to correctly position the
ipolarity as shown in the image below (the negative pole must be oriented
itowards the inside of the device). Before reinserting the battery, make sure
ithat the seal is properly positioned.
Finally, to close the battery cover, turn it clockwise (see the markings for
ieasy alignment).
Once the battery is empty, it can be easily replaced with a new one. Follow the
steps below:
