THANK YOU
Thank you for purchasing the ONE FOR ALL Remote Control Extender.
ONE FOR ALL is continuously striving to develop, produce and market
high quality innovative products to remotely control your equipment.
We hope the Remote Control Extender will give you the freedom of
wireless control. Your Remote Control Extender operates with your
original Remote Control and with a ONE FOR ALL Universal Remote
Control.
THE PRODUCT:
The Remote Control Extender enables you to operate for example your
VCR, Satellite and/or cable Receiver in your lounge from your bedroom
TV. It can control TV, VCR, SAT/Cable plus audio equipment from
room to room.
The Remote Control Extender system comes with a transmitter, a
receiver and two AC/DC-adapters.
Transmitter
The Transmitter receives the Infrared signal from the Remote Control
and converts this into a RF signal. The transmitter is located where you
are (I.e. on top of the bed-room TV).
Receiver
The Receiver receives the RF signal, turns it back into an infrared signal
and sends this to the device you want to operate. The receiver is
located in the other room where the device is that you want to control
(I.e. The video recorder or satellite receiver).
INSTALLATION:
Receiver:
Locate your receiver in free sight of the device you would like to
control. I.e. To control your Video Recorder from your bedroom, place
the receiver in direct sight of your video. You will get the best result if
you place the Receiver Unit 2 to 5 meters from your equipment E.G. on
the other side of your room.
Plug the AC/DC-adapter in the wall socket and connect the DC
connector to the back of the receiver unit (See 1).
NOTE: A cable connection between your equipment is required.
The Remote Control Extender does not replace the cable
connection, it will extend your infrared signal.

Transmitter:
Locate the transmitter in free sight of where you want
to control your devices. I.e. If you use the Remote
Control Extender for the bedroom TV, place the
Transmitter on top of the bedroom TV.
Plug the AC/DC-adapter in the wall socket and
connect the DC connector to the back of the
transmitter unit (See 1).
NOTE: Make sure the voltage mentioned
on the rating label of the AC-DC-adapter is
the same as the mains
voltage in your house
or home.
Operation:
Now aim your Remote
Control at the
transmitter. Press the
function you like to
perform. Your device in sight
of the Receiver will now react.
If you experience any
difficulties, please refer to the
trouble shooting section in
this user guide.

ACCESSORIES
ONE FOR ALL offers you two accessories to get the best out of your
Remote Control Extender.
1. Extra Transmitters. If you would like to control your equipment
from more places in the house, just purchase additional
Transmitters for each extra room from ONE FOR ALL. All
Transmitters are compatible with your Receiver.
2. As an additional, ONE FOR ALL offers the IR extender. This device
can be connected with its 1.5 meter cable to the receiver (See 2)
and will send the infrared signal as well. Now you no longer have
to put the receiver in direct sight of your equipment, just place
the little Infrared transmitter in line of sight of your equipment and
you will have full control.
You can obtain these accessories through your regular retail as well
as through ONE FOR ALL direct. Just fill in the enclosed card and
within two weeks we will send you the required products.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
I cannot control my Remote Controlled device with the
Remote Control Extender:
1- Is your system correctly installed
a. Does the Remote Control work if you control the device directly?
b. Is the Receiver in direct sight of your device?
c. Are the AC-DC adapters connected?
d. Are the Receiver and Transmitter switched?
e. If you press a button on the Remote Control pointing at the
Transmitter, does the red LED plash?
2- House construction
If your house has a heavy metal construction, it can disturb the
radio signal. Try to move the transmitter to another place in the
house. This should define if your Remote Channel Changer is
functional. If you experience problems, try to place the units away
from electrical appliances.
Even moving your transmitter a few inches can improve the
performance.

I have poor range or a particular piece does not respond:
1- Adjusting the Receiver Unit
When no commands are being sent, observe the Red light (LED)
on the front of the Receiver Unit, it may flicker slightly. If the Red
LED is glowing brightly, or does not come on at all, even when
commands are sent, then adjust the sensitivity screw on the back
of the receiver unit (See 3). To make this adjustment, you will
need a small screwdriver. Turn the screw fully clockwise so that
the LED is full on, then very slowly turn the screw anti-clockwise
unit the Red LED is very slightly flickering. Try to hold the
Receiver Unit in front of your appliances and send a command to
the transmitter while optimizing the sensitivity.
NOTE: Do not adjust the sensitivity screw unless you are
experiencing problems.
Some Remote Controls make the Red LED flash brighter
than other Remote Controls
1- Type of Remote Control
The brightness of the flash depends on the type of Infrared signal
from the Remote Control. Different signals will result in different
brightness levels of the Red LED. The Brightness of the flash does
not affect the operation of the Remote Control Extender.
