Guangzhou Tianyi Electronics! The Tripod turnstile adopts a unique
technique of Tianyi Company, using standard wiring connection that makes it
conveniently achieve system integration with QR-Code of cell phone,
magnetic card, barcode card, ID card, IC card and other read/write device.

The Tripod turnstile is one of the product series that self-designed, self-developed and
self-produced by Guangzhou Autob Intelligent Device Co., Ltd and Guangzhou Tianyi
Electronics Co., Ltd. This turnstile integrates mechanic design with microprocessor control
and different read-write functions; it achieves access control, attendance recording, tolling,
and counting function through read-write operations, and storing the information being read
in the microprocessor control system or the computer management system.
The h o u sing of this equipment is made of Stainless steel,inner material is Cold-rolled
stee l plate,With artistic design,more durable.The cabinet with arms can offer a orderly and
civilized access mode.
The mechanical structure of this product integrates with the electrical control structure,
which makes the configuration, assembling, disassembling, and maintenance of different
parts easy to handle. The operation is simple, reliable and convenient, because the barrier

controls the turning of the full height rotation through non-touch information exchange
between the IC card (or other sensor cards) and the card reader. The barrier can adopt
barcode card control, magnetic card control, ID card control, or contact IC card long-range
control, according to different requirements of customers. The high performance
microprocessor control makes the barrier dependable. It allows both one-way access and
two-way access.
Six working modes are optional for this turnstile, and three for the arms. Normally 20
people can pass in every minute, while 35 can pass in the fast mode. The turnstile equips
with self-checking function, and it adopts power-on self-test. The turnstile can lockup the
arms automatically. The auto reset function of the turnstile makes sure that the board would
automatically reset when someone pushing it by force.
Preventing pull the arms in the opposite direction. Arms will lock when pulling arms in
the opposite direction,and arms will reset automatically.
The turnstile can integrate with the computer. It can achieve management functions like
tolling, counting, attendance recording, and identification, while adopting the management
software developed by our company to process the information record being read. And it is
one of the most special features of this product.

This barrier is constituted by five parts:
A)Cassette mechanism; B )Microprocessor control systems; C )Stainless steel or
cold-plate spraying plastics cabinet; D )Read-write device; E )Display units.
The rotating device of the cassette mechanism and the microprocessor control
systems are inside the cabinet, and they constitute the main body of this product.
The turnstile adopts inducting IC card, ID card, or barcode reading head, and it has
the functions of two-way identifying, verifying and anti-counterfeiting.
2)Functions/Features
● The application of unique reducing motor, poly V-belt variable transmission, and the
coding-electronic-controlled reset device, achieving the precise positioning and
locking of the arms.
● The photoelectric detection and microprocessor digital signal processing of the
electronic rotation and arms reset makes the motion steady and reliable.

● The modular electrical control system, which centered with microprocessor, makes it
possible for intellectualized management. The turnstile can achieve remote control
over the opening/closing through computer management.
● IC card, ID card, barcode or other read/write modes are optional.
● The functions of auto counting and auto displaying.
● It can operate with or without network connection.
● Anti-reverse access, if read the card at left /right side, the tripod will be locked
automatically after pushed about 15 degree from left /right side, then reset
automatically, and cancel the authorized access.
● Adjust the tripod automatically, when the pedestrian is on passing, and the angle of
the tripod has deviation, then the tripod will be adjust the angle automatically when the
card is read next time, that is one rotation one amendment.
● RS232 interface and external system can be controlled the gate through agreement.
● The turnstile works automatically when the card is read and it is pushed for a low
angle.
● The rotor turnstile can be used in the passage and the ticket-selling management.
And it can be used in places like airports, metro stations, libraries, and museums,
office buildings, theaters, or piers. The barrier can work together with different card
readers, auto ticket-checking system, and fingerprint recognition system (effectively
preventing unauthorized entry).
● The rotor turnstile is widely applicable, and it can be used in all the places that require
strict access control. And the turnstile can work together with other intellectualized
products, forming all-purpose card application system.

When the read-write module write the qualified IC card, ID card, or barcode data, the
opening signal will be transformed to modular circuit, and the signal that has gone through
coding process will drive the electric engine, and the engine will drive the rotation of the half
height control turnstile through poly V-belt speed change. The encoder can recognize
direction, and it will signal whenever the arms have been rotating for 120 ° . When the card
reading takes effect, opening signal will drive the rotation of the electric engine till the arms
leave zero position, and then the electric engine stops, and the arms will have rotated for
certain degrees. The motor will work until the signal drive the arms

it will be at next zero position (stand-by mode). The information and counting data read and
written during this process will be stored in the read/write device of the processor. This
turnstile can connect with computers through RS232 interface, processing the data
obtained and sending management instruction.

1 ) Preparation before installation.
A
copy of wiring diagram and a set of Tripod turnstile
equipment should be ready.
2 ) The description of system function. When the system is electrified, it will go through
self-check process. After receiving card read signal, the LED access indicator will
turn green, then allow passing through. When passenger push ahead the turnstile,
the turnstile will return to zero position, Then the access indicator will turns red.
When it is automatically reset, one entry would have been done. This system allows
swiping cards for multiple times, but it allows only one entry at a time. If no one
passing by in the set time, the program will reset automatically.
3 ) Checking on the electric engine. Before the installation of electric engine, make sure
that the open circuit current of the electric engine should be no more than 500mA,
and make sure the starting torque of the electric engine must meet the
requirements.
4 ) Checking on the system. Before it is electrified, the equipment must be checked,
make sure the machine has not been stuck and operates smoothly.
5 ) Checking on wiring connection. Check the wiring connection of the electric engine
according to the wiring diagram, have trial electrical connection, and electrify the
system for trial run only when confirming without error.
6 ) Electrifying the system. Check the three limit switches first when the system is
electrified. When error occurs in anyone of these three switches, there will be
system alarm, and further operation will be allowed only when the error is cleaned.
7 ) Program functions testing.
Integrated testing: After learning, arms will enter to integrated testing. Arms rotate
clockwise 10 times and reversal 10times.Repeat the action.

boxes first under ground. At the bottom of turnstile there are two fixed panels, to fix the
location of equipment, when install equipment, fixing hole location according to the location

of fixed plate, Put 10-12mm anchoring into the hole (diameter 13mm). Open the locks in the
both sides of turnstile, remove side tailgates, then can wiring equipment and fix it.

Access will be permitted when it beeps and the light turns green after swiping card. The
arms will be self - locked after the access. They will also be self - locked if there were no entry

The tripod turnstile has failure and fault tips; when the tripod of turnstile is blocked in
the rotation process, the machine will be alarmed with sound “ DI ” ; If the tripod is blocked for
a long time, then the turnstile will be in protection mode automatically. The buzzer of
turnstile will be continuous alarmed with sound “ DI …” Meanwhile, the indicated lighting of
the turnstile will be flashed “ Red — Green ” , the tripod will be locked at this time, and in the
protection mode, will be kept alarm for some times (about 5~10S), then the turnstile reset to
normally card reader status automatically, no manual, just restart the machine after power
off.

by soft fabric often, and avoid cleaning with hard items that might cause scuffing.

3)Regular inspection on the connection of different parts and fixing loosened screws
to avoid mechanical failures after long time operation.
4)The casing of the turnstile must have reliable earthing, so as not to avoid electric
shocks.
5)Strictly prohibit plugging in or out of the sockets when the turnstile is electrified,
which will damage the control circuit.
6)The product is offered with free repair guarantee for one year, and the repair after
free period will be charged with maintenance cost only.
7)The technical changes or remodeling of our products will be without further notice.
8)We heartily welcome suggestions for improvement from all the users of our
products.
9)When errors occur in this product, please contact our after-sales department or our
local branch in time, and we will send technicians to deal with the problem. Don ’ t
