Pleasemake surethat the systempoweris turnedoff and thepowersupplyisdisconnected when
makinganyhardware changesto Model H700.
Removetherear neckplate
TherearetwoI/Oports,9000PB0550 and 9000PB0480,located on the backoftheneck.The
rearneck platemustthereforeberemoved beforealterationscan be madetothe hardware. As
an example,tosetup forDC+5VorDC+12VatPin9 ofCOM1orCOM2,followthe steps:
1.Tiltthescreen to180 degrees.
2.Unscrewthe 2screwsadjacenttothehinges.
3.Tiltthescreen to90 degrees.
4.Removethe rearneck plate.
5.Selectthe appropriatejumpersettingsasneeded;refertoCON4&CON41ofCom1and
COM2D-sub connector.

Hard DiskDriveInstallation
ModelH700comeswithanemptyharddiskdrive (HDD),unlessaspecial requesthasbeenmade.
InstallingaHDD
1.Turnoff powerand remove powercable frommain unit.
2.Removethe Base/HDDPlatefromthe
base(4screws).
3.Securethe harddisk driveon theplate
(4screws).
4.Plug the IDEand powercable tothe HDD.The redstripe on the ribboncable should be
aligned withPIN1on the IDEconnectorofHDD.
5.Putthe platebacktothe baseand
securewith4screws.
6.Connectthe main unitpower.
Note: Ifthe HDD doesnotworknormally,pleasereferto troubleshooting.

CompactFlash Installation
ModelH700willconfigureCompactFlashin IDEmode assecondarymasterafteritisinstalled.
The nextavailabledrive letterwillbe automaticallyassignedtoCompactFlash.
InstallingCompactFlash
1.Turnoff powerand remove powercable fromModel H700.
2.Asthe compactFlashsocketislocated on thesoldering side ofM/B,removethe 4screws
and disassemblethefrontpanelplate.
3.InsertCompactFlashand lockthe black leverina90 degree position.
4.Reassemble frontpanel platetomain unit.
5.Connectthe main unitpower.
