GreenBus II®Wiring
Communication Circuit: 24Vdc, Class 2
GreenBus II is a low-cost, high reliability communication standard used to report
occupancy status signals, daylight readings and user inputs received via Wallstations
to the ENCELIUM®EXTEND Networked Light Management System or the
ENCELIUM EDGE™Standalone Wireless Light Management System for
the purpose of obtaining optimum brightness settings for an individual light
fixture or a group of light fixtures.
When used in the ENCELIUM EXTEND Networked Light Management System, the
GreenBus II wiring originates at an ENCELIUM EXTEND Manager and propagates in
a daisy-chain or “T” fashion from device to device (or other compatible equipment).
When used in the ENCELIUM EDGE Standalone Wireless Light Management
System, the GreenBus II wiring is used to connect a low-voltage wallstation directly
to a Wireless Area Light Control Module (WALC).
Note
Tip
!
STOP
GreenBus II is an proprietary standard and proprietary connectors and jacks
are used for ease of installation only.
Connect to the ENCELIUM EXTEND Networked Light Management System
or the ENCELIUM EDGE Standalone Wireless Light Management System
only. DO NOT CONNECT TO OTHER CIRCUITS.
GreenBus II must be laid out as per
supplied system layout drawing. If changes
are required, determine an optimum wiring
path utilizing the supplied prefabricated
cables, based on the position of light
fixtures, sensors and Wallstations. The
number of modules on each chain is
limited since the modules obtain power
via the GreenBus II cable.
Notes
—When used in the ENCELIUM EXTEND
Networked Light Management System,
it is suggested to leave room for future
system upgrades and to limit the
number of modules per GreenBus II
channel to 80 during initial installation.
GreenBus II wires can be inserted
into either of the 2 ports. Press the
corresponding button to insert the wires.
—Both ports may be used when connecting in a daisy-chain fashion
(e.g. ENCELIUM EXTEND Networked Light Management System device).
To remove the wires, press the corresponding button and pull the wires out
while rotating them in a circular motion.

Installation Notes
Consult the OSRAM website for the most up-to-date version of the GreenBus II®
system design guide and install this product according to the guidelines.
The Wallstation is to be installed in dry, indoor locations ONLY. Do not install
the Wallstation in damp locations. Damp locations are defined as: interior
locations subject to moderate degrees of moisture, such as basements,
barns, cold-storage warehouses, as well as partially protected locations
under canopies, marquees and open roofed porches.
Troubleshooting
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the Wallstation. Please return the
device to OSRAM if service is required.
