5 Bedienung
5.1 Funktionsauswahl
5.1.1 Akkumulator Test

Vor Beginn der Prüfung müssen Sie sämtliche Taster in Mittelstellung bringen.
Anhand der Tabelle sind die Akkumulatoren auf ihre Nennspannung zu prüfen

Vor Beginn des Komponenten Test müssen Sie den Freigabe Taster für Funktionsprüfung
1F(On-permanent/ Off/ On) in die obere Stellung bringen.
1. Prüfkabel mit jeweiligen Akkumulator verbinden.
2. Systemtester 757T16 mit Prüfkabel über Buchse 1C (Battery) verbinden.
3. Komponente mit jeweiligen Prüfkabel bzw. Prüfstecker verbinden.
4. Systemtester 757T16 mit Prüfkabel bzw. Prüfstecker über Buchse 1G (Terminal Device) ver-
binden.
5. Systemtester 757T16 Funktionstaster 1E (close) betätigen.
6. Systemtester 757T16 Funktionstaster 1D (open) betätigen.

7 Entsorgung
7.1 Hinweise zur Entsorgung
Dieses Produkt darf nicht mit unsortiertem Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Eine, nicht
den Bestimmungen Ihres Landes entsprechende Entsorgung kann sich schädlich auf
die Umwelt und die Gesundheit auswirken. Bitte beachten Sie die Hinweise der für
Ihr Land zuständigen Behörde zu Rückgabe- und Sammelverfahren.
8 Rechtliche Hinweise
8.1 Haftungssatz
Ottobock haftet Ihnen gegenüber bei der schuldhaften Verletzung sog. Kardinalpichten auf
Aufwendungs- und Schadensersatz (im Folgenden in Ziff. 5: “Schadensersatz”) nach Maßgabe
der gesetzlichen Vorschriften. Kardinalpichten in diesem Sinn sind alle Pichten, deren Verlet-
zung die Erreichung des Vertragszwecks gefährdet sowie alle Pichten, deren Erfüllung die ord-
nungsgemäße Durchführung des Vertrags überhaupt erst ermöglicht und auf deren Einhaltung
Sie regelmäßig vertrauen dürfen. Soweit jedoch die Verletzung von Kardinalpichten nur leicht
fahrlässig geschah und nicht zu einer Verletzung von Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit führte,
sind Ansprüche von Ihnen auf Schadensersatz der Höhe nach auf den typischen vorhersehba-
ren Schaden beschränkt.
Ottobock haftet Ihnen gegenüber außerdem nach den Vorschriften des Produkthaftungsgeset-
zes; in Fällen des Vorsatzes und der groben Fahrlässigkeit; für die Verletzung des Lebens, des
Körpers oder der Gesundheit; bei Übernahme einer etwaigen Garantie durch Ottobock sowie
in allen anderen Fällen gesetzlich zwingender Haftung, jeweils nach Maßgabe der gesetzlichen
Vorschriften.
Im Übrigen sind Ansprüche von Ihnen auf Schadensersatz gegen Ottobock – gleich aus wel-
chem Rechtsgrund, insbesondere wegen Sachmangel, Rechtsmangel und/oder Verletzung von
anderen Pichten aus dem Schuldverhältnis durch Ottobock, seine gesetzlichen Vertreter, Mit-
arbeiter oder Erfüllungsgehilfen oder aus unerlaubter Handlung - ausgeschlossen.
Soweit nach den vorstehenden Regelungen die Haftung von Ottobock eingeschränkt oder aus-
geschlossen ist, gilt das auch für die persönliche Haftung der gesetzlichen Vertreter, Mitarbeiter
und Erfüllungsgehilfen von Ottobock.
Eine Änderung der Beweislast zum Nachteil von Ihnen ist mit den vorstehenden Regelungen
nicht verbunden. Ansprüche von Ihnen auf Schadensersatz verjähren innerhalb der gesetzlichen
Verjährungsfristen ab gesetzlichem Fristbeginn.
8.2 CE-Konformität
Der Systemtester 757T16 erfüllt die Anforderungen der Richtlinie 2004 / 108 / EG für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit. Die Konformitätsbewertung wurde von Ottobock nach Anhang II
der Richtlinie durchgeführt.
Der Systemtester 757T16 erfüllt außerdem die Anforderungen der Richtlinie 2006/95/EG für
elektrische Betriebsmittel zur Verwendung innerhalb bestimmter Spannungsgrenzen (Nieder-
spannungsrichtlinie).
Eine Kopie der Konformitätserklärung kann unter der Adresse des Herstellers (siehe letzte Sei-
te) angefordert werden.

4.2.1 Battery test

1. Connect test cable to respective battery.
2. Connect System Tester 757T16 to the test cable via connector 1C (battery).
3. Press System Tester 757T16 key 1B (Battery Test) for 3 seconds.
4. Read voltage value from display 1A.
4.2.2 Battery connecting cable test

Before starting the testing process, you have to place all switches in the centre position.
The battery connecting cables are connected to the batteries according to the following table.

2. Connect the battery connecting cables to the respective test cables.
3. Connect the test cable to the System Tester 757T16 via connector 1C (Battery).
4. Move the battery connecting cable
5. Read voltage value from display 1A and check for discontinuity.

4.2.3 Component test

INFORMATION
Before starting the component test, you have to place the enable switch for the functionality
testing 1F(On-permanent/ Off/ On) in the upper position.
1. Connect test cable to respective battery.
2. Connect System Tester 757T16 to the test cable via connector 1C (battery).
3. Connect components with the respective test cable or test connector.
4. Use the test cable or test connector to connect the System Tester 757T16 to connector 1G
(Terminal Device).
5. Activate the System Tester 757T16 function key 1E (close).
6. Activate the System Tester 757T16 function key 1D (open).

6 Disposal
6.1 Disposal Information
This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste. Disposal that is
not in accordance with the regulations of your country may have a detrimental im-
pact on health and the environment. Please observe the information provided by the
responsible authorities in your country regarding return and collection processes.
7 Legal Information
7.1 Liability statement
In case of the culpable breach of so-called cardinal obligations, Ottobock is liable for the reim-
bursement of expenses and the payment of compensation (jointly referred to as “compensation”
in Section 5) according to the applicable legal regulations. Cardinal obligations in this sense
include all obligations where a breach would compromise the ability to full the purpose of this
contract, or where performance is required in order to properly full this contract and where you
may rely on regular performance. However, to the extent that breaches of cardinal obligations
are due to slight negligence and do not result in death, physical injury, or the impairment of
health, your claims to compensation are limited to the amount of the typically foreseeable loss.
Ottobock is also liable to you according to the provisions of the Product Liability Act; in case of
intent or gross negligence; for the loss of life, physical injury, or the impairment of health; where
Ottobock issues any guarantees; and in other cases of mandatory legal liability.
Any other claims for compensation by you against Ottobock – no matter on what legal grounds
and especially due to material defects, defective title, and / or the breach of other obligations
arising from the contract on the part of Ottobock, its legal representatives, employees, or assis-
tants or due to illegal acts – are excluded.
To the extent that the liability of Ottobock is limited or excluded by the preceding provisions, the
same applies to the personal liability of the legal representatives, employees, or assistants of
Ottobock.
The preceding provisions do not affect the burden of proof to your detriment. Claims for com-
pensation on your part expire within the legal period of limitation, starting at the beginning of
said period as established by law.
7.2 CE Conformity
The System Tester 757T16 fullls the requirements of the guideline 2004 / 108 / EU for electro-
magnetic compatibility. The declaration of conformity was created by Ottobock according to
appendix II of the guidelines.
The System Tester 757T16 also fullls the requirements of the guideline 2006/95/EG for electri-
cal equipment to be used within certain voltage limits (low voltage guideline).
A copy of the declaration of conformity can be requested from the manufacturer (see last
page).
