Please read these safety warnings and cautions carefully to ensure your personal
safety and prevent property damage.
USE AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
• Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred,
microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects in to the OTTO®
Revo NC2 for PoC Speaker Microphone. Such actions could result in
electric shock.
• Do not expose your OTTO® Speaker Microphone to extremely high or
low temperatures or leave in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Do not leave your OTTO® Speaker Microphone near open flames such
as cooking burners, candles, or fireplaces. Do not dispose in a fire. The
battery could explode, causing injury or death.
• Do not block any ventilation openings, which could cause battery hazard.
• Do not attempt to repair, modify or disassemble your OTTO® Speaker
Microphone; it does not contain any user serviceable components.
• Dispose of the OTTO® Speaker Microphone and the OTTO® Speaker
Microphone’s battery in accordance with local regulations.
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAUTIONS
• Only charge the battery in temperatures between 32°F - 113°F (0°C -
45°C).
• Do not attempt to disassemble the OTTO® Speaker Microphone or force
open the built-in battery.
• Do not charge the OTTO® Speaker Microphone in damp areas.
• Do not attempt to replace your OTTO® Speaker Microphone battery; it
is built-in and is not changeable.

REVO NC2 for PoC
INTRODUCTION
The Revo NC2 for Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) features a low-
profile, tapered design ideal for demanding public safety, disaster
recovery and emergency response teams, or any team using phones
and tablets to extend its communications network. Compatible with
mobile apps like ESChat®and Zello, the Revo NC2 for PoC quickly
plugs into devices with a 3.5mm audio jack to allow hands-free
listening and clear, convenient, push-to-talk voice transmissions.
• Unparalleled passive noise-canceling performance is provided
via the top-mounted microphone.
• Efficient, high-gain, low-distortion amplifier makes it easy
to hear transmissions without draining the phone or tablet
battery.
• Integrated rechargeable battery provides 15 hours of service.
Charges easily via the included USB cable.
• Transmissions can still be heard clearly (at reduced volume) if
the battery is fully depleted.
• Built-in debris screen keeps dust and dirt from impacting
transmission clarity.
• Sealed per IP54 standards to protect against dust and dripping
rain (excludes connector).
• Meets MIL-STD-810G for high performance in harsh
environmental conditions including 40 mph blowing rain.
• Compatible with most smartphones and tablets (some devices
may require a separate adapter).

OPERATION
Charge the Speaker Microphone
The Revo NC2 for PoC features an integrated rechargeable battery
to amplify incoming transmissions. The battery should be fully
charged before first use.
• Plug the supplied charging cable into the
Mini-USB charging port on the back of
the unit. (Figure 1)
• The rechargeable battery will supply
approximately 15 hours of service before
recharging is needed.
• Incoming transmissions will still be heard at lower volume
if the battery is fully depleted during use.
Attach to Belt or Clothing
The clip on the back on the Revo NC2 for PoC can be rotated 360°
to the best position to attach to your person.
• Rotate the clothing clip on the back of the speaker
microphone to the preferred position.
• Attach to belt, shirt, lapel, ballistic vest or other clothing
for convenient operation.

Connect to an LTE Device
Turn on the phone or tablet and operate it as explained in the operating
instructions supplied with the mobile device.
• Plug the audio jack connector on the Revo NC2 for PoC speaker
mic into the earphone jack on your mobile device.
• Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
(Figure 2)
• Slide switch down to OFF to turn the unit off.
Once connected the Revo NC2 for PoC will:
1. Route the device’s audio output to the speaker mic.
2. Disable the device’s microphone and enable the
microphone of Revo NC2 for PoC.
Adjust the Speaker Volume
The Revo NC2 for PoC has two volume settings. Slide the switch up to
HI for high volume or down to LO for low volume.
Using the Noise-Canceling Microphone
The Revo NC2 provides excellent performance under a
wide range of conditions, including noisy environments.
• Push the push-to-talk (PTT) toggle button once
and release. (Figure 3)
• Speak directly into the microphone in the top fin
for best noise-canceling performance.
• Push the PTT toggle button again to release and
deactivate the microphone.

Attach an External Earphone
An earphone kit with a standard 3.5mm plug may
be used with the Revo NC2 for PoC to be able to
listen privately to incoming transmissions.
• Open the jack cover on the bottom
of the unit and plug in the earphones
(Figure 4).
• Audio will be routed to the earphone
rather than broadcasting through the
speaker mic.
• Replace the protective cover when not using earphones
to protect against dust or water damage to the speaker
microphone.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Clean the Revo NC2 for PoC speaker microphone only with a
dry cloth.
• Do not clean the speaker microphone when it is being charged.
Always unplug the charger first before cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your speaker mic because
this could cause scratches and damage.

Information on Disposal of Old Electrical and Electronic Equipment (applicable
for EU countries that have adopted separate waste collection systems).
Products with the symbol (crossed-out wheeled bin) cannot be disposed
as household waste.
Old electrical and electronic equipment should be recycled at a facility
capable of handling these items and their waste byproducts. Contact your
local authority for details for locating a recycle facility nearest to you.
Proper recycling and waste disposal will help conserve resources while still
preventing detrimental effects on our health and the environment.
