1Ensure the quality of
the SpO2 signal
Inform the patient of the importance of
good SpO2 measurement
Monitor the bar graph below the value of
the SpO2and the shape of the
plethysmography curve
Differences in the SpO2measurements might be noticable
between the FreeO2and the bedside monitor. This is due to the
difference in calibration of the systems and
averaging of the SpO2measurement
In the event of signal loss or malfunction, FreeO2
switches to safety mode and delivers a constant flow rate
calculated on the average flow rate during the last 15 minutes.
Favor standard oxygen mask
Do not use high concentration oxygen mask
Except during transfert or exercise, always
leave the FreeO2 plugged in, even
when not in use on a patient
Wait for the display on the screen of the
plethysmography curve and the O2flow rate before
positioning the interface
Be careful not to unplug
the oxygen supply while in treatment
To stop the FreeO2,
Return to the Treatment screen and select
«Suspend the treatment»
