R-Pod Trailer Awning
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for purchasing the R-Pod Trailer Awning, another quality product built in the USA by
PahaQue Custom Shop, Inc. This product will provide you with years of service, and is backed by our
Lifetime Warranty against any and all defects in materials and workmanship, while our fabric carries a 3
year warranty against UV and other damage. When used and cared for properly, this product will
provide many years of reliable service.
A FEW QUICK NOTES:
SET-UP----Your Awning can be easily set-up in 5 minutes or less by one or two people, if you
follow the basic sequence detailed below. If time allows, we would recommend that you read
through these instructions in their entirety and do a practice set-up at home before heading into
the wilderness. Then you can be sure all components are present & functional, and proceed
through the set-up sequence at a leisurely pace to learn the most efficient techniques.
TAKE DOWN --- For the take down, simply reverse the set-up sequence.
LONG TERM STORAGE --- Your R-Pod Trailer Awning is more likely to be damaged by
mold, mildew or bacteria during storage than by elements while set up and in use. Make sure that
all food or other organic material is removed, and that your tent is thoroughly dry before packing
into the stuff bag. If you have to pack up and leave the campsite while your tent is damp, set it up
later at home & allow it to dry thoroughly for long-term storage.

How to install your R-Pod Trailer Awning by PahaQue
1. Locate the following parts included with your R-Pod Trailer Awning:
Awning body
One fiberglass pole
4-segment aluminum roof pole
Ground stakes - 7
2. Unfold Awning and locate keder (rope) edge of Awning. Make sure awning is right-
side-up by checking that the coated (shiny) side of the Awning fabric is facing
downward. See Photo A.
3. Starting at the rear of the trailer, slide the Awning keder cord into the keder rail on the passenger side
of your trailer. Make sure that the Awning keder cord is able to feed freely into the rail as you pull the
Awning towards the front of the trailer. The Awning keder cord should fit completely into the rail, with
little or no excess hanging out on either end.
4. Locate the aluminum roof pole and assemble the pole. At the top-dead-center of the
Awning in the front and on the keder edge against the trailer are roof pole pockets. Insert both
ends of the roof pole into the pole pockets.
5. Locate the pole sleeve (grey fabric) on the outer edge of the Awning. Carefully
insert the fiberglass pole into the pole sleeve. See Photo B.
*Note: The 15 elastic loops/toggles along the inside front seem and support pole are for the optional Front Wall accessory.
5. Starting at one end, insert the pole tip into the grommet on the webbing at the
lower corner of the Awning, as shown in Photo C.
6. Proceed to the opposite end of the pole sleeve, and repeat the procedure with the
pole tip at that end. In order to complete this step, you will have to bend the pole
and create the curved shape of the Awning.
7. Pull the Awning out and away from the trailer. Using two ground stakes (one on
either side) and the two adjustable webbing straps located at the front of the Awning on
either side, secure the Awning in place, and adjust the webbing straps as needed to get a tight pitch of the
Awning.
8. Stake the 4 corners of the Awning down using the remaining ground stakes. If you desire to roll-up
the side panels, then those corners will not be staked. However the front two corners should always
be staked to the ground to ensure stability and proper performance of the Awning.
Final adjustments:
The length of the strap that runs along the ground between the pole tips can be adjusted in order to raise or lower
the peak of the pole and the overall width of the awning.
To secure the walls in the “up” position, locate the strap at the bottom corner of the side wall nearest the trailer
wall. Next, locate the 2 elastic loops near the Awning pole, approximately 6 feet above the ground. Attached to
one of the elastic loops is a small plastic toggle. This toggle goes through the grommet in the strap and then
through the other loop. See images 1, 2, and 3 on the next page.

USEFUL TIPS:
While taking care not to over-tighten the adjustable webbing straps, it is important to not allow the
Awning to sag where water could collect during a rain storm
Do not store your Awning while wet for any extended period –always dry completely prior to long-term
storage.
Note that the pockets for the aluminum roof pole may need to be sealed around the seams. Use the
enclosed Seam Grip® Seam Sealer.
