Place the unit in a flat and stable
location to prevent it from tipping
over and spilling water.
Make sure that the
inlet and outlets are
not blocked by curtains
or other items.
Keep the unit at least 1 m away from a TV or
radio. Otherwise, image disturbance or white
noise may occur.
Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight or
near a heater, as this may cause
deformation, degradation or discoloration.
When using the unit near walls or
furniture, be sure to separate by the
distances shown.
(If ventilation is poor, the temperature
may rise and may result in breakdown
of the unit. In addition, the Humidity
indicator may work incorrectly.)
● This dehumidifier is not an air conditioner.
It can emit cool air, but unlike an air conditioner it cannot cool an entire room.
When used in an enclosed space, the room temperature may rise instead.
● The room temperature may rise while the dehumidifier is in operation, but this
is normal.
Heat is emitted while in operation, so the room temperature may rise depending on the
conditions of use (outside air temperature, room size, etc.).
(This rise in temperature can
be from 3°C to 8°C for “Dehumid./Hi” or “Dry Clothes” operation, or from 1°C to 2°C for
other operation.)
● Humidity varies according to the temperature, even if there is the same
amount of moisture in the air.
Humidity can also vary according to airflow. Accordingly, the Humidity indicator on
the unit may differ from a room humidity gauge due to differences in air temperature
and airflow.
● Existing indoor odors may be reproduced from the air outlet.
( see page 24 for information on odors from the unit.)
● Operation is possible at room temperatures from 1°C to 40°C, and at humidity
above 20%.
At room temperatures outside this range, dehumidifying operation will stop and only
air circulation will be performed. Additionally, when the humidity is below 20%, the
unit will stop all operation as a protective measure.
( see page 25 for information about when the Alert indicator lights up.)
● Do not tip over or tilt the unit.
→ If the unit tips over, return it to the upright position at once. ( page 24)
● Even when the dehumidifier operates, condensation and mold may appear
on windows facing the outside or in areas with poor ventilation (such as behind
furniture).

Tips for drying clothes
When hanging clothes to dry indoors, the
evaporated moisture becomes condensation
that is absorbed by carpet or cushions.
1 of washed clothes releases 100 mL to 300 mL of moisture
every hour. This is the same as sprinkling about a cup of water
around the room.
When hanging clothes to dry indoors,
it is important to use a dehumidifier to quickly
remove humidity inside the room.
When clothes are hung to dry naturally indoors, it
takes a long time to dry, so bacteria accumulated
on the clothes can result in odors.
If it takes a long time for clothes to dry, bacteria may remain
on the clothes and cause odors.
In addition, when drying indoors, damp clothes can absorb
the odors inside the room.
Using a dehumidifier to dry clothes quickly is the
best way to prevent these odors.
Why dehumidify?
If your shoes get wet in the rain, use the dehumidier
to dry them quickly for the next day.
Before drying shoes with the dehumidifier, first blow cool air into
them with a hair dryer until no water is dripping, then place them
on a hanger and hang them above the dehumidifier.
Adjust the louver direction so that dry air is directed onto the
shoes.
Do not use a dehumidifier on
leather shoes or other leather
items. Doing so may cause
deformation and affect the
quality of the leather.

● The sensor detects the temperature and humidity of the room, estimates the condition of the

Stopping automatically after drying clothes
Tips on hanging clothes
Firmly stretch out wrinkles, leave spaces for air to pass through,
and dry the clothes in the shape you want them to be in.
Take the clothes
down without
crumpling, fold
them carefully and
put them away.
When the clothes are dried, quickly
take the clothes down to prevent
them from reabsorbing humidity.
Basing on the standard of Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association (JEMA-HD090), the approximate drying time is 55 minutes.
Testing Conditions: Mode: "Dry Clothes", Room Size: 9.72 m2 , Temperature: 20 °C, Humidity: 70 %,
Weight of clothes: 2 (3 t-shirts, 2 shirts, 1 pair of pajamas, 7 underwears, 2 pairs of socks and 3 towels).
Actual drying time will differ depending on environment and usage conditions.
“Hi (Auto)” and “Lo (Auto)” use a temperature and humidity
sensor to dry clothes and then stop automatically
On rainy or humid
days, clothes can
reabsorb moisture
even after drying.
● If clothes do not dry completely, perform drying again.
● The “Auto” function will stop operation regardless of conditions after 10 hours.
● To turn off the Dry Clothes function after a specified time, use the timer function
in “Super (Cont.)” mode. ( page 19)
● Clothes may not dry easily in some places depending on the type and amount
of clothes and how they are hung.
* Temp 20 °C, Humidity 50%, Room Size 13 m2 .
According to our own usage tests. Actual drying time will differ
depending on environment and usage conditions.

This dehumidifier is not an air conditioner. It can emit cool air, but unlike an air conditioner it cannot cool
an entire room. When used in an enclosed space, the room temperature may rise instead.
● The dehumidifying louver on the back side opens fully and the unit starts to operate in “Medium”
dehumidification mode. (The Dehumid. “Med” indicator and Humidity indicator light up.)
Insert the power plug into a wall socket.

● “Cool” mode has a lower dehumidifying capacity than “Dehumidify” mode,
so dehumidification takes time. ( page 11)
● However, at a temperature of less than 10°C, the unit operates in fan mode,
and dehumidification is not performed.
